Ive come to the conclusion its however you want to do it. Ive saved 5-10 and opened them at once and got nothing but 1* and maybe a 2*. Then again Ive opened up 1 standard token and gotten some 3*. Mostly Im on a yellow kick with 3* it seems. Thunder Chief sent me a standard token & I immediately opened it; it was a yellow collosus. I got a standard token last night, opened it, it was a yellow Falcon. I think just after x amount of tokens opened you're bound to get something. It just seems more likely when you open a bunch at once than when you get them.

I understand they did this to combat the "when does the event end?" issue due to overseas, time zones, and whatever else. Im also thinking it was a way to combat "brolying". Im sure there were others who came in at the last minute and did the same. Hell its known to wait until later to get into a "better" bracket. Now its just like when do you want to end? All brackets are formed, its just up to you on how you want to compete. Even when you join you're placed and you can see everyone else sitting there at 0 with you. In hopes that even though they're ranked already, IF they start later they will have a better rank. We'll see how this goes.

Ah speaking of ranks, pvp, and battles: started one, counted for my daily reward, went to check my rank didnt change. Had this happen before, did another pvp battle, got my first pvp reward. Yep first battle didnt count, nice I missed out on 30 points, however it did count on my season points, go figure.

Falcon/Black panther/Psylocke= bwahahaha you guys are screwed! Especially with Psylocke and Falcon boosted. Even though there's no green there the strike tiles from BP & Psy basically make up for that. I know what you're thinking why not use Punisher, his green makes 3 strike tiles. Its the fact he randomly destroys them and makes a cascade. BP places strike tiles & if you have to match them you just get more yellow to make more & set off falcons inspiration. Also Strike tiles with Psy's attack tiles are awesome.

 
Falcon + Mohawk Storm = her black creates a bunch of attack tiles, when boosted, you can do around 2k dmg alone.

With GSBW, who plays well with her?

Hulk works great, since he will cover for green and red and keep your glass cannon from cracking. Spider-Man is good as well, since you have something to do with the purple you're matching for defense tiles.

Also, not sure if it's because people preselected their times, but I didn't pick a time for the Hulk event until 3 hours before the 4pm ET end time. I managed to get first place with just over 800 points. Fifth place had 650, tenth had 608. There were only 224 people in my bracket. So, not sure if it's just because people screwed over their bracket by picking an end time right away, but seems like procrastinating your pick has benefits.

Either way, I want to try this again on the next one, but going to be out of town, so my results might not be quite so good. Probably not, because it's a blue Fury cover for first in bracket, and that's pretty much the only first cover I'm missing besides Blade.

Wonder how the timed events work now when you pick a time do you still get the team bonus (usually i get them right at the end) so far never got the team bonus this time)  I could see this working against some teams. If say you have 19 in a early bracket and they get a massive lead and the 20th one is in the late bracket and dont play they think they could be high  (say rank 20  at the end of the first bracket but end up 200 or lower once the final bracket ends  since the people in the later bracket see that massive lead and dont play as hard 

 
I hate the PvP start time change. I've been getting crushed all week. I've been hitting the 3* wall at like 425 instead of cruising to 575-600. Plus I've had 4 moonstone covers this week.

I'm pretty close to calling it quits.

i hit the 3 star wall and dont even make it over the 250 mark in the last 2 pvp.

one nice thing on this match up is i would rather have either

Get better then top 100 to get the new iron man or get at least the 2 star WOLV. What i need to rank him up

This PvP matchmaking is killing me. I'm sitting at #150, but to find someone to attack with more event points is taking ~20 expensive skips.

Since my GSBW is already maxed, I may be writing this one off.

I'm tempted to do it just for the points towards the 10 point token thing, but I dont see myself making that this season. I sat out the Hulk tournament and will probably be sitting out the Widow one as well. Three star Iron Man is really a useless character and should be dropped altogether. (Along with you too beast and daredevil)

 
got to wonder if the story mode thing  Event 3 will be 3 days instead of 2  since  each event last like 2 days and only 3 days left after event 2 closes at midnight.

The 3rd subevent will also be 2 days, and the last 24 hours will consist of new nodes that open up on the main event screen. There will be no extra prize for the last 24 hours like there are with the subs.

Okay quick question. So say you have 5 million points and are in 3rd place when stage 3 ends. Do you place 3rd or can people jump you in the new nodes (sure the new nodes will be insane hard and i will fall from the top 50 slot im in now)

The new nodes are still part of the event, so you can still pass and be passed.

one more quick question for these events is it best to wait for the points to go back to the max or play them as soon as you can (like every hour) noticed one of mine went from 119 won the match and the next time i was to fight it the points dropped to 1. So is it best to wait till the event fully recharges ??

ended 9th in the bracket i was in on the first round

Right now its not worth ranking up with 90 mins left in the 2nd round im 34 and dropping fast

ALSO is the IPAD mini a good system to play this on. Thinking about restarting and just playing it on a IPAD so i dont have to boot up my pc everytime

Are you Overkill in MPQ? Broly hasn't started yet either. Alliance is in the 150's right now, hopefully we can get a decent boost.

 
I have to say Psylocke, Falcon and then (Hulk, Thor or Steve) make a pretty destructive team in this event fully boosted.

I've taken down those 100+ level maggia guys w/o taking a hit.

I use Falcon, Psylocke, and OBW on the all goon nodes. Anything redwing doesn't take care of can be delayed with anti-gravity device. Falcon boosts the tiles Psylocke makes. Hulk, BP, and Falcon for the nodes with actual enemies.

I also used the Spidey, GSBW, Hulk team for her tourney. Thanks for the tip Koju!

 
I really like Falcon, BP, OBW for the goon nodes. I focus on matching yellow & blue, and the strike tiles keep building. Purple leads to steals, and eventually BP's black finishes them off.

And for once I'm actually excited for the PvP prize. IM40 with one yellow works great as a red battery for Steve/HT/Pun, so I'm looking forward to beefing him up with some red/blue covers.
 
Damn yeah I have been crazy busy with stuff lately sorry guys. I had planned on playing this event but it isn't looking too hot. If I dont get a chance to play at all I will communicate with Koju and see if me dipping out for this event will get you guys to top 100

 
Lord knows I didn't need another red IM, but when I started Hollowpoint last night with 1 hour and 4 minutes to go before the midnight CST end time, there were only 116 people in my bracket. Quick, easy seed team climb to about 75, then hit a couple higher point matches to hit 300+ and a top 50 finish. Really could have used another blue, but everyone else was in my boat, climbing hard and fast, and I ran out of health packs. Oh well.

Without looking at the other forum, anyone know what the IM rewards are? That PvP is going to be a grind... doesn't everyone have a covered/leveled IM40 by now?

Wonder if you were in my bracket, that sounds about what I saw. Check first place. ;)

Rewards for IM are Laken covers. not sure of the order.

I barely have an IM40 hahah I refused to ever keep him because he was shit and so I always sold him up until a bit ago.

 
Tried to hop on today but my phone was, as usual lately, giving me insane freaking problems. I finally managed to get it running but barely got to play. Now I want to boost up and be helpful and so here I am secretly playing at my desk haha

*EDIT*

Was able to start off right now with a score of about 15k. I still can't play all that much today and tomorrow but judging by my rubberbanding already I should easily hit about 60k by the end.

Im thinking that the gsbw pvp wasnt very high competition anyways mainly due to thinking like this:

I chose the 3am cst end time and had been sitting at the 465 mark with everyone else at 0 points for a day. Played a couple rounds at 15 hours before end, made it to the 300-400 range. Apparantly I got bored last night. Battles gave crap points 20s but after every one I steadily climbed up. Once I got ranked in the 60s I pushed the last 30 minutes & got to 41 with 600 points. Just got to the top 50s with 580 & said the hell with it, might as well get another 20 points for 50 HP, prob a good decision right?

Heroic token day, red she hulk, at least its a 3*. Somehow missed pushing in the last thick as thieves sub and only got a heroic token. Trying to figure out where this pve ranks, its got to be behind heroic juggs. Where's my 7 day hulk event again!

 
I've never used IM 40. I could use another lazy daken cover so I'll see how the tournament goes.

I'm somewhere right below 150 now with 40k points in the Thick as Thieves event. Pretty much all from just the three essential nodes.    Bor-ring. The final hard node has level 200 characters and is only giving 700 points so I'm not even touching it.

I think if I do end up getting a RocketGroot from this event I'll probably sell off my Beast to make room.

how do you people get so much freaking HP. 600 HP to open up 3 more slots and it just gets worse. Not sure how i got it but some how i got close to 1200 HP this month what is sort of shocking how much they give away. (had to get around 1200 since im up to now 13 slots and never spent a penny)

Newcomers have to buy in bulk. Us old hats can buy one at a time. Though that one slot costs around 600HP hahah

But yeah looking just at our Alliance members, with the PvP events even if you dont participate we normally get 50HP as an Alliance reward. More if you get some yourself. So there alone is a quick 350 min with NO effort a month. Then accounting for your actual performance you can boost that number up more and then put in the PvE rewards and sub event rewards AND then the daily rewards and really HP shouldnt be much of an issue. Especially if you ONLY spend it on slots like you should be doing hah

 
My Scotland Yard VII node is showing two level 314 hitmen and the same level soldier, and I am having no problem whatsoever rolling them with Pun, OBW and Falcon. Going for as much blue as I can right away to get Redwing to kick, then trying to match all the other countdowns that come up. Keep matching blue whenever possible, so if any of them do get down to 1, I use Anti-Gravity to kick it up by 4, giving me more time to match it, or let Redwing cover it. Falcon's yellow powers up Pun's attack and strike tiles when those powers are used, and the baddies go down like I've got 'em in a guddam sleeper hold. 

EDIT: The soldier is actually 313.

I have been rolling with Patch, Falcon and Blade. Definitely a very fun and very effective team especially against all goons. I can definitely see the merit in your team... even if it has Frank on it : P

I tried to play last night but my phone like had a legit heart attack and wouldnt let me do anything and so I got effed out of playing my fully charged nodes like planned on that subevent for a quick 12k. Awesome. With that I would have been in a comfortable ~80 but now I am 180 and will be struggling to even get a cover. I hate my phone.

I can get a new one in January... though that feels like forever away right now hah. I wish I could use my same damn account on the PC and stuff!! Blah.

End Rant.

 
I'm in the same boat. My phone is refusing to recognize my USB charger - or any USB charger- so it's just blinking red with a battery at 1% for me. Didnt play yesterday and may not get around to it today unless i can get this fixed. Off to the  Sprint store. Only likely to be told "Oh, you need to go to the -authorized- sprint store across town. Or, well, you're due for an upgrade in 6 months.  Pay off the phone now and get a new one."

 
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but in one of the updates for the iPad version, when you cycle opponents, the countdown tiles flash when you get to the opponent they belong to.  Very helpful to figure out who to target/stun/etc.

That is awesome! I haven't noticed that on the Android version but I will check because that definitely is useful.

 
So whats up with our alliance? Ever since the 20 person alliance became commonplace we've had steady rotation.  Even the regular people Ive gotten used to are gone.

Is everyone just up and leaving thinking they can make their own better alliance? Kind of sucks getting used to being in the top 100 & now we're back to being a mid level alliance again. I know I havent been on as much as I used to since the move, but its really disheartening to see new names every time I log in.

I didn't help much with work and final projects this past week. I ended with pretty much the same as you DS.

theres no cross saved on these games right. meaning been playing the pc one for the last month, if i run out and get a tablet i have to start from day 1 (right)

glad there is no story mode right now that last one was a major drain even on pc. Ended up with a 3 cover monster (cant remember name came in 9th so got 1 of each color) around 4500 crystals and 100 HP. Ended up 9th with like 145,859 points
