Wow, that's mega lame on Blade. He was included in the first one and so you'd think he would have been included likewise for this one. At least offer him as a free DLC. If they through up a package with Psylocke, Cyclops, and a few other characters for DLC on 360, then I'd probably get it.

Also, is that Juggernaut code strictly a Gamestop thing or will there be any other ways to obtain him?

From my understanding, he's DLC. He'll probably be released sometime after the game comes out. I preordered just in case though.

I hate getting bent over for a few characters, but I doubt I'd use Blade, Psylocke or Cyclops in my first playthrough, so I don't feel too bad.

The 15th cant come soon enough. Anybody know if GS is having a midnight launch? I'd like to have it as soon as possible.

I'm just wondering if there has ever been a true situation where a character was offered through GS, but never released later on. Blade was ok to play as in the first, but for some reason I remember using him quite a bit as there was something to his character that made him worthwhile (maybe a team combo or something). I remember that Spiderwoman was a piece of crap and I hated that I had to use her for her costumes or something like that.

I think it would have been fun to play as Psylocke, but yeah, I would have passed on Cyclops as well.

After reading catching up with New Avengers, I'm actually sad to find that Spider-Woman is a NPC this time around, but I do have to agree, that she wasn't that powerful in MUA1.

I like Blade, but do to the movies, I've never seen him as a "Marvel" character, if you get what I mean.

Unless I'm mistaken, the GS exclusives for LittleBigPlanet have yet to make their way to DLC. The complete preorder bonus consisted of Kratos, Medusa, and Minotaur costumes, in addition to some stickers, and only Kratos has been made available.

However, that's a purely cosmetic change. In terms of GS-exclusive stuff that actually affected gameplay, I can't name anything.
 
Wait, where's Iceman in that assembly? Did they blur him out, yet leave the last reveal guy in, possibly even selecting him (since he looks a lot larger than anyone else)?
 
Some reason, I think It's namor with some new armor. From the pictures I've seen of Nova, It doesn't look like him. Who knows how ever. We shall see.
 
^ Yeah, either they blurred out the wrong character, or they're pulling a fast one over us. Some are saying it's Nick Fury in some armor, however I doubt this. Unless someone got a huge makeover then I haven't a clue. Here's a closer pic:

Just plunked down a pre order for this at Gamestop, can't wait for this to come out and get my co-op on.

I too am completely stumped as to who that last person is. The sillouhette/from a distance looks like it could be namor, but namor is almost only ever shown in his trademark scale-speedo.

Didn't they have something called a "Teaser Pack" for the last one? A free download that made it possible.

I'm not too sure though, I have the Gold Edition, and my buddy couldn't find said download, but I could swear there was one at a point in time.

One week and counting. I've made all my plans, and I won't be doing anything from the 15th until I beat the game. I've got a truckload of Red Bull and pork rinds coming, its gonna be legendary.

I would rather give them 3 up for online play but like you I hate when they do this stuff. The same goes for DLC that comes out just weeks after the game. To me if it comes out 3 months after the game it should have been in the game or be free. I can see DLC to come out at a price 6 months or later but before 3 it should be free and from 3-6 it should not be more than 5 bucks and should be worth it.

People don't understand that DLC takes time, money, and labor on behalf of the developers. You pay for whats on the disc, and aren't entitled to anything else. Dev's like Valve spoil gamers with free content and support (Blizzard is pretty good with the support as well).

Shipping a broken game and then offering DLC instead of fixing the damn game is a different story though (I'm looking at you epic), as is day one DLC (capcom). Anything later than that would push back the release date of the game in question.

The armor makes it kind of look like the Green Goblin of the Spider Man movies.

She was bloody lame in MUA1. All I can really remember of her was that I kept thinking of her as some "rainbow" super hero where her powers were that of the care bears and made people "Wuv" each other. Still, they should have just kept her in, but made her plot line and character better.

And I'm still not sure what to do about Juggernaut. Anyone have any idea if there/when there will be the TRU B2G1 free deal this year? There's actually quite a bit of stuff that has come out recently that I would get (I'll wait on last year's stuff for a price drop i.e. Fallout 3, Call of Duty WaW, etc.)

Edit: Nevermind on the list. I just the one in the first post. I'm an moron for continuously passing over over it. I'll have to really look into it later. Can't wait for next week. Still contemplating the Juggernaut issue.

In the OP it's got the entire list of playable characters minus the last mystery character.

I've been searching the internet for ideas of who the last character is and have come up with nothing. I've also been on other sites reading peoples suggestions and none of them have made a lick of sense. Not that I can blame them when I (a huge Marvel comic fan) haven't the foggiest clue either.

May or may not be that easy. When you input your receipt code online to register to be a VIP, they seem to indicate that the Juggernaut code would be e-mailed to you a few days before release. However, if I misread, it could end up being like the Batman: Arkham Asylum pre-order code, where the code was included in the wrapped case. Kinda hard to open and return that.

From the blurry picture his face looks very alien to me. Maybe captain marvel or a skree or skrull?
 
Got to say that I'm really dissapointed in the character's chosen this time around. The first game did a good job of mixing in popular characters with lesser known ones. This time around however, they just decided to cram a bunch of X-Men characters in for no reason. Where are the characters who were actually, you know, important to the story that the game is based off of.

I'm referring to the Ultimates 2 version were War Machine is actually the Black Widow. I couldn't find a pic but the body & paint job look similar, however the mask looks different. With that said I really doubt it's Ultimate War Machine, I was just putting that out there.

Not me, I think the X-Men get too much attention as it is. I love the Ultimate Alliance idea since it focuses on the Marvel Universe as a whole. It gives developers more freedom with characters & story.

I agree, which is one of the main reasons why I'm so dissapointed in the character selection. Wolverine I can understand, and Deadpool is the second most popular behind Wolverine so it makes sense. But out of 25 characters, do we really need over five X-Men? That would be like DC doing a Justice League game and having six Green Lanterns playable.

Not really the same at all, Xmen are some of the most popular and prevalent characters in the marvel universe. Many of them have or have had their own popular series. Not that I'm saying I want more of them, but it's not like it's unwarranted. I don't see anyone complaining the entire Fantastic Four are in it.

I'm just happy Deadpool is in here.

I definitely do. In MUA1, I found them to be a waste of space for other characters. I kind of understand them here, if they get split up over the Civil War, but in 1, I found them to be worthless.

Back on track in reality though, :bouncy: 5 days. I hope the unannounced character is Namor, or a Skrull. The first is possible, the second is a long shot. Anybody got any better ideas though? Its been driving me crazy.
 
Not real sure if this is going to show up on the 360 marketplace (I'd be shocked if it didn't) but Juggernaut showed up as DLC already on the PSN at $1.99.

I'm going to go cancel my preorder at GS tomorrow - it's far cheaper (no tax + no wasted gas / time) for me to get it at Amazon w/ release day delivery (I have prime) and just pay the $2 in MS points.

Didn't realize he would be available so early / so cheap, and I hope all the characters end up staying so cheap.

Do you have a link? I haven't been able to locate it on Amazon. Hmm...I wonder if it isn't better just to wait on the characters for a bundle.

It's not up yet for the 360... I'm looking at it right now on the PSN.

Content for upcoming releases hits a week early on the PSN generally, because it only updates on Thursdays and most games come out the following Tuesday / Wednesday. I remember the Joker content for Arkham Asylum was up days before Batman released on PSN.

Since MS puts content up every day, we'll probably see it the day the game comes out on the 360. But yes, rest assured, you can buy him on the PS3 for $2, and in a few days he will be there on the 360 no doubt.

Well I'm glad then. I doubted from the start whether the Wii characters were true exclusives. I can only imagine that later DLC for the PS3/360 versions will be the true exclusive content. I can now get this game elsewhere (hate supporting GS) or wait for the TRU sale. Any idea when it happens?

I agree with animalspinners. I'm canceling my GS order and getting it through Amazon (like some of you). I just wish these companies would stop calling DLC content "exclusive" when it is not. The only "true" exclusive I have ever seen were the weapon codes for GOW2. No doubt they will bundle all their so called "exclusive DLC" characters from the Wii and PS2 (as well as "Juggs") and sell them on XBL and PSN.
Thanks PSN for saving me couple of dollars.
 
So, bunch of people have been able to get their hands on the game early, and were able to play through it to find the last playable character. Character is

Robo Nick Fury, or Nick Fury in a Robot Suit. Yes, seriously. Can't believe with a character stable as large as they have, that they went this route.

True, apart for the GOW2 gold lancer, nothing has been exclusive or locked for long, not anything worth having anyway (I'm sure I forgot one or two). Yeah, after I saw the Jug DLC on PSN, will cancel my preorder at GS and worst case, I have to buy it from the XBLM. Never planned to get it at GS anyway, just get code, cancel preorder and keep the "exclusive" content.

That's disappointing & lame. Oh well, there's plenty of other characters I'm itching to use but it just seems like a waste.

I said it from the whole One eye thing if you read a few posts up. I said he had one eye and sorta a eye patch...but we now see it's a robotic eye

Seeing as how Juggs is going to be DLC, I guess I'll cancel my pre order as well.
 
Is Juggs up on Xbox Live for download? I'm going to cancle mine and go with amazon now that this "exclusive" is no longer exclusive.

Hi folks,

Regarding the “PS3 Juggernaut” issue, that’s a mistake. The pack that’s currently up on PSN can’t actually be downloaded and will soon be removed. What should be up there is the free compatibility pack so you can play with friends who have Juggernaut if you didn’t pre-order.

Playing as Juggernaut is exclusive to those who pre-ordered at Gamestop (in the US) and Amazon.co.uk (in the UK)
