Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion - Gen Discussion & Info - DLC RESTORED!

[quote name='FluxDF']My code worked and downloaded last night for 360.[/QUOTE]

Damn, guess I got a dud. Oh well.

This is what I get after entering the code:

"There is a problem with the offer associated with this code"

According the MUA forums the charatcer codes are universal and unlike the other cheats, do no effect your game saves or achievments. I have not tried them, so I can not confirm this.

Hulk - down, left, left, up, right, up, down, left start
Jean Grey - left, left, right, right, up, down, up, down start
Thor - up, right, right, down, right, down, left, right start

good luck to those who want to try it for the rest of us :)

This was interesting. Preordered at Gamestop back in early August, and registered online with receipt not long after. This morning I had still yet to receive a Juggs code, so I called up Gamestop. After waiting on hold for two minutes, the rep was able to find that my code was sent, but since it didn't appear in my inbox or spam filter, he sent it again through his email. Sure enough, a minute later, there was my code.

Moral of the story - Gmail may be blocking the Juggs codes, and there are some people at gamestop that actually know what they're doing.

[quote name='Galego23']is this one that much better than the original.[/QUOTE]

Yes, they really spent time fixing problems from the first one. I wrote down a list of changes a few pages back. But the core gameplay plays pretty much the same.

thanks for this I've been debating whether or not to get this. I'll check out your last post.

Picking up my copy (on 360) tonight after work; curious to try some of the multiplayer this time around (played MUA1 on PS3 almost entirely single-player).

This might be a spoiler in where this glitch happens, but I've had it happen 3 times in a row. Once it happened I figured I'd test to see if it would happen again.

I went to replay the Castle Doom level, where you fight The Tinkerer's tank thing, after choosing a side. I use that level to quickly do the beat 50 foes for characters because it has a lot of enemies. Anyway, I had done 3 characters of beat 50 foes, and was going to start on a 4th, during the boss bottle, and it locked up. I had basically been in the boss battle for about 20 minutes unlocking costumes and the game locked up. It did this 3 times. I installed the game to the hard drive after the first one, didn't help. I cleared the cache after the second one and that didn't help either. Just something to watch out for.

[quote name='PR Mega X']I'm shocked by all the Spider-Woman hate. She was on my team through almost all of the first game, her energy blast was bad-ass.
.[/QUOTE]

I was a Spider-woman fan for MUA1. Her healing power came in handy in the later levels when i'd take on too much damage trying to figure out what i was supposed to do next. I liked the powers and costume too, but i'm in the minority i guess.

Overall i like the previous cast more, so i'm hoping for dlc. I could care less about power-man & iron fist.. Most everyone seems to love gambit & deadpool, but i never caught on with them. Very happy to see Goblin & Phoenix, and am hoping for lots more like Cyclops, Havok, & Archangel.... either way, we definitely need more costume variants.

While not including DLC characters from MUA1 I like this cast more. Cage became the leader of the Avengers after Cap died so he's a very relevant character. Iron Fist is an "on again/ off again" Avenger and currently has had great success in his recent ongoing series. Because of that he's created a nice little fan base for himself.

I like the fact they didn't pack this with X-Men characters. If I wanted that then I'd just play X-Men Legends.

I dunno. Bit of a let down imo. Ive been playing since Xmen legends 1 so I expect more of the same.
This is more of a lot less.
Everyone only has 4 moves and a good majority of the people the A move is the same. Shoot 2 projectiles, spam it to continue shooting..

I think the reason for this was to have all 4 moves to be "useful" where throughout the game each move would receive more significant changes. There are characters in MUA1 that only had 1 real useful move, so that's the only one I would level up. I think that makes gameplay boring. There are also characters in MUA1 who had two projectiles. Do you really need two just for the sake of having more options? Just make one of them badass. Don't make me waste points just to find a move to be useless.

Having only 4 moves helps in their efforts to streamline the leveling system. Both MUA and esspecially Legends 2 had too many shitty moves & cumbersome menus.

[quote name='nbballard']Hey guys, I heard that there is a glitch in the distribution of the Jugg codes and EVERYONE is getting 360 codes. If you need a PS3 code, you are told to reply back and they will send the correct code. You guys should see if this can be used to get a code for both systems (and go help out your fellow CAGs on the PS3 board).[/QUOTE]

Hmm...hold up, the Juggs code is universal? Really? I so am inkling toward just dropping the $60 and saying screw it instead of waiting for a TRU sale. Anyone know roughly when TRU pulls out the B2G1 or any of their Activision sales?

Just played for a couple hours and I love it.

I was a HUGE fan of the first, and this game definitely delivers.

Quick question though, when you pick up a power up (such as a melee power up) does everyone on the team get that stat increased, or only the person who picked it up?

I am up for some co-op later this evening if anyone wants to add me.

Edit: I have plenty of VIP codes for the games website if anyone wants them. Just gives you more inside information and discount on marvel stuff.

To unlock Jean, enter Left, Left, Right, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down, start

To unlock Thor, enter UP, RIGHT, RIGHT, DOWN, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, START

To unlock Hulk, enter Down, Left, Left, Up, Right, Up, Down, Left, Start

Enter these while playing. They do NOT disable achievements.

Hmm. I'm a bit tempted to do that..but, I kind of hate unlocking stuff.. unless it's really hard  (or that's the only way TO unlock them..which I doubt)

[quote name='lilboo']Homegirl Marvel IS available from the start though, right? :bomb:[/QUOTE]

No, but you get her very early on. After the second mission. You start off with something like 14 characters. It seems they give you the proper ingredients to make a team of, X-Men, Avengers & Fantastic Four.

I know it's cheating but I might use that code for Thor.

I'm somewhat impressed with the fusions, but I've seen some re-used shit already. Storm and Iceman do the same thing as Storm and Gambit.. it's just one is with ice..and the other is with purple kinetic energy...

Really wonder how many will turn out to be like that :(

I was dumb and didn't pay attention to upgrade. I was playing as Juggs to get his custom unlocked and I think I collected most with him. When I play again (only on Legendary right?) I can boost someone else up..right?

I've been using Deadpool (as main of course), Gambit, Wolverine and Spiderman.

It's not to bad really. Good to see some Key moments from the Civil War time line as well. I think I squealed by seeing some scenes. Also, Not liking the Spiderman or Iron Man voices. But I like how they use the guy who does the voice for Wolverine from Wolverine and the X-men. I think I might buy it once I return it back to Blockbuster.

I played it for about an hour and I'm really enjoying it. I loved the first and this is just like it with different characters. So far I'm really liking Invisible Woman for the aoe stun and the suction force or whatever it is. Her fusion with Juggs is really ridiculous, I love clearing a room with that. I like to play the game straight with the same characters so that gives me more reason to replay, using different characters. I'll get my moneys worth for damn sure!

Let me guess: She puts a shield around him, he runs around taking names, right? If so, that's Invisible Woman + Jean's fusion  :wall:

Invisible Woman + Storm
&
Invisible Woman + Ms Marvel
have the same fusion, too. :wall:

So when joining someone in co-op, what carries back to your game?

I'm guessing only collectibles and achievement stats (I joined my friends game and got the 250 broken boxes cheez early on).

What!?! I was playing with my friend, his game froze, I lost connection and now I don't have ANY of the medals I just earned, and one was tied to fusion attacks.

How the hell am I supposed to get that back now?

[quote name='Jimbo Slice']Anyone with a link to all the alternate costumes? I requested a while back but I think it got lost in all the Juggernaut shenanigans.[/QUOTE]

Ok, I think I might have this co-op stuff down.

The book states that the only way to get achievements and to have items carry over, is to join someones game if YOUR progress is equal to or greater to theirs. Also, you need to be on the same side (pro or anti registration).

When I got the game tonight, I played up to the second level. I had some medals, the alternate hulk outfit, etc.

My friend started the co-op game from the beginning, and I loaded my save file. Obviously when I started, I didn't have any of my characters and they weren't leveled up.

However, we played past the second level (actually, we played for a good 4.5 hours :whee:) and when we stopped, I saved my file on a separate slot.

Here's where it gets interesting. Not only did that file have a ton of experience, the medals I got in co-op and my deadpool alternate, but I also had all the medals from my previous file, along with my hulk alternate.

To sum it up, if you're going to join someones game, and you want to keep all your stuff + get more, you HAVE to join a game thats at the same point or before you. If you join a game at a point you haven't completed yet, I dont THINK you'll get achievements and items.

Hope this helps.

Going off that Sean, I wonder if the whole progress thing will matter if you already have the game completed and are just looking to level up other characters? That would be really nice if it didn't.

Also, thanks a ton Linkin.

has anyone received anything from GS for the Juggernaut code? i pick up the game last night and they gave me the postcard with the website on it. filled it out and still haven't received anything yet.

I'm assuming it will. To me, if you want to level up your characters and still play co-op, you'll have to be host.

When you join, your playing as the host's characters. You get to keep things you unlock, but thats why it says to play with someone who is at, or before your point.

I love the game, Just disappointed with the Two Outfits thing really. Love the Storyline how ever. I have yet to try Co-Op. I do know that I will be giving this another playthrough.
