Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion - Gen Discussion & Info - DLC RESTORED!

It's definitely a great game, just seems like they toned down the RPG elements from the first, which sucks, but doesn't necessarily make the game unplayable. Graphics are great, gameplay is great, I'm digging the story so far, so it's all good.

I tried my Juggernaut code last night on my X360 and it worked when for some reason I was getting an error on XBOX.com. I have yet to try him but but I plan to soon.

Graphics. That's it though.

It does feel like this is a "prequel" to MUA in terms of missing elements...but it's still great and fun to play.

What is the point to this AGGRESSIVE, DIPLOMATIC, DEFENSIVE stuff you talk? It seems like I was playing Mass Effect again ???

I hope, HOPE HOPE HOPE, they have a huge DLC that comes out later. It just seems to be so short of characters. :whistle2:|

I love the artwork shown when you look under My XBOX and you have the MUA2 disc in. Anyone seen that available anywhere else in wallpaper format?

The diplomatic stuff is for getting medals.

I like how it organized everything with the powers, and the one costume doesn't bother me. The new characters are better than the old too. Like I said before, I was a huge fan of the first, and really like this. My old rommate agrees and we played it for hours last night and a few more this morning.

Rei, I'll definitely play. Send me a FR.

I guess I'm ok with a shorter game as I decided to GameFly for the first playthrough. Should be arriving today. Who wants to co-op!?

Got it to play with a friend disappointed. I hate playing online because of still requiring everyone to be on the same screen. Got frustrated a lot because someone wanted to bust everything up. Also been pretty glitchy. Got juggernaut caught in a giant robots leg and didn't get him back until after the boss battle and got stuck ina wall during a boss battle. The character wouldn't spawn when we tried to get him off screen.

I like the story though just feels like they should've updated much more to the title.

Trying to play with randoms right now, and it's saying only collectibles will be saved (when its the same difficulty and a part I've completed).

Now it gets more confusing. I played with the randoms for a little, saved my progress, and when I loaded it, I was at the furthest point in my single player campaign.

I'm assuming my exp carried over too, but I barely got any, so I dont know.

The question is, why didnt the same message come up when I joined my friends game (who was a level behind me).

I'm a bit disappointed. Like others have pointed out it got a facelift, but otherwise more stuff was taken out than put in. MUA2 does do a great job of portraying the Civil War storyline. Unfortunately I HATED the Civil War storyline when it happened in the comics, and hearing it voiced just makes the butchering of Cap and Iron Man's characters more painful. I am still enjoying it but it doesn't measure up to the first one. Wish I'd held off for a rental. I expect to be either 100% complete or bored of it by this time next week.
Graphics. That's it though.
I had a bad feeling that that's all the game had going for over the original.. glad I canceled a week ago.

 Oh, you have to find 5 random things to unlock Jean? :shame:
I don't know how far into the game all of those pieces are.. soo... yeah ::uses cheat code::

dumb question: When unlocking a character via code, does it save? aka do I have to redo the code next time I play?

I agree. Unless they release some DLC soon (within the next month), it doesn't look good for this game. This has a Target red sticker written all over it (which is going to kill me everytime I go check those endcaps and see it).

On top of that, everyone and their mother are getting the code for Juggs (due to the "new/improved" email way of getting a code they implemented for this game) which makes me wonder why I pre-ordered from GS in the first place.

I think I'm done with GS and their "so called" exclusives. TRU, Amazon and others are starting to have better TIV and other goodies (Gift Cards) anyway (as well as being a little cheaper).

Cancelled my preorder ODST from GS and getting it from TRU (with a $20 GC and figure) just out of spite.

IDK what this means...but if anyone has a spare code....yea....my PM inbox is always open.....

I also filled out the Gamestop thing for Juggs.. does it normally take a few days? I did this yesterday, btw. I didn't REALLY pre order, just put whatever in for the receipt number

They def need a good DLC for this game. A whole new pack of characters w/ some more missions.

I would also love a Juggs code if anyone has a spare.

In all honesty, I prefer this to the first. I really like that there are only 4 moves per character, because it cuts down on the menu clutter and seems to have gotten ridden of mostly useless ones in favor of more usable abilities. I also really, really like that anything you do to level up your character can be changed later. It makes the characters much more customizable, and you're not longer stuck with a decision when you decide you want to check out a new move.

The cast is pretty much the same to me... the only character I was into that they took out was Moon Knight, but they added Green Goblin so I'm cool with it. I just wish the Sentry was on 360 as well.

All I'm going to say is....GREEN GOBLIN is a freaking monster when on his glider. Don't believe me? Try taking down a boss while on his glider. It's freaking crazy how fast he does it. In the end I used Deadpool, Gambit, Venom and Green Goblin.

No Storm or Invisible Woman love? I gotta say, they are both much more awesome in this game. Storm usually kicks ass, but I am really surprised w/ Sue Storm.

I have a question for anyone that has leveled up Jean or Invisible Lady..and I really, really, really hope I am right.

In X-Men Legends 1 and 2, as well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance..with Jean/Invisible Woman's telekinesis moves.. you had to level them up in order to pick up an enemy and control them around the room. At the moment, both of them are leveled up after the first red in their slots. Nothing. I can't even use their power to pick up items.. even small items. Now again, I'm not sure if I had to level that move up in order to pick up items.

I remember in X-Men Legends, by the time you had Jean's power leveled up you were able to lift cars and shit like that

I REALLY hope this is true for this game... because at the moment all they do is pull them towards their hands, you can AIM which way you wanna shoot them..but that's about it.

Wait until you guys get Goblin, he's by far the best character.

I was playing with someone online who said the best team is Thor, Goblin, Jean and Juggs.

I have to agree, they're all pretty unstoppable.

I should have sided with Iron Man.

I just got Hulk yesterday and along with Juggernaut, I gotta say Hulk is better. Juggernaut doesn't have very good moves.

I just liked his moves better, seems to be dead on, while Juggs feels a bit clumsy.

Anyone know what collecting 10 of something unlocks? I know the others were 5 for Jean Grey, Hulk, & Thor, but there's one that you need 10.
Juggs stampeding move crushes everything in his path.
It's kinda hard to control though, I haven't had much success with him.

Jesus has a code for you to invite him into your heart and then you become like a vampire or something.

Just curious if anyone has any knowledge of that.

For everyone who still wants a Juggernaut code, you can just put any Gamestop receipt number on the site.. I did it last night with a receipt that was 4 months old for something not even relevant to MUA 2, and I just got my code an hour ago (and just now redeemed it no problem).

But it looks like Gamestop removed the site to redeem the code from? It's coming as a 404 for me now.

Hell, just make up numbers, that probably works too... it's in XXXXX/XX-XXX where the X's are numbers

I never put my receipt number in on the site. I just got the code emailed to me on Tuesday. As long as GS got your email when you made the reserve you should have been all set.
Haha, made up a receipt number....thanks for the Juggs code, GS.
So when did you do that and when did you get it?

If anyone has beat the game yet does everything you unlock go over to the next game like it did in the first one. I'm just wondering if I will have to start all over to get the extra outfits or the medals that i got with some of them alread.

Yes, you can carry stuff over to a new game.

Just a reminder, you can only do a new game+ on the legendary difficulty.

However, you can just replay missions through the simulation terminal and earn the remaining medals/costumes.

I just finished the game tonight; it was great and I loved every minute of it. My total play time is 13.5 hours, but that's not accurate because I played online with randoms a few times.

My friend, who only played through the game, has a total time of 8 hours. Does anyone know how long the first is?

Actually it's the opposite. You can carry your stuff over, but only on the same difficulty. If you start a new game to do legendary nothing carries over.
