CAGiversary!
The embargo on Capcom's recent press event is nearly up, so videos are starting to appear.

No gameplay footage of MvC3, but from the style of the teaser, it looks like it will use the Street Fighter IV engine. Some characters are confirmed, and some potential fighters are hinted at as silhouettes in the company logos (e.g. Marvel - Deadpool?, Capcom - Dante?)

There's gameplay footage in the Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 trailer, and they highlight a certain new control feature, well new for this side-scroller series at least.

Holy fuck yes. YES YES YES! I cannot wait for this shit. Now just give us a release date and I'll be golden (sometime 2010 please?).
The TvC/SF4 engines are actually the same.
Really? Didn't realize that. Wish TvC looked as good on the Wii as SFIV  (Seriously, love TvC, not rippin on the gameplay, but shits blurry as hell on my 65" HDTV)

I dont believe this is correct. I think the only citation for it is the Official Nintendo Magazine from the UK.

They may have significant similarities or cross platform compatibilities, but Street Fighter 4 was a Taito X2 board and TvC was a proprietary Wii based board. If they were close enough to be ported, it wouldve been done, short of some exclusive licensing agreement.

It's not correct. Both are by 8ing but the TvsC was made specifically for the Wii based hardware... even the Arcade was based on the Wii based hardware... that's why it was released on the Wii.

and this huge pic - not sure how to do thumbnails here

I see Super Skrull in the upper left corner in both, and Felicia under Chris' elbow in the 1st pic and in front of Super Skrull in the 2nd.

Actually SFIV was made with Dimps

Love me some Bionic Commando Rearmed. I hate games where you can't jump and BC:R was probably one of the few that it didn't bother me in... jumping ability puts this one over the top.
Awesome, I hope Simon Viklund and Shinkiro are back for BCR2. That would almost make up for MvC3.
Simon Viklund's involvement is confirmed.

I think the real question we have to ask ourselves here is this:
Will Marvel Vs Capcom 3 wanna take us for a ride?

I dont like the idea of jumping...

becoz it means now they have to design levels to accommodate the new ability,

which will either lead to the game being too easy or having so much broken BS in it.

I like my 2D games precise dangit!!
Gah, can't wait. Hopefully I'm going to E3 and they say it's playable there so yea!
It's tough to say. Both aren't coming till 2011, but BCR2 actually had gameplay footage in its trailer, so it certainly has a better chance of appearing at E3 than MvC3.

i said this before. considering that Disney owns Marvel...

Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy confirmed for Marvel vs Capcom 3!
hopefully its the last time you say it
IDK, I've played some MUGEN with a killer Mickey...

Random thought:

After all those years of "We'll never get MvC2 re-released! Or another (good) Marvel game!" that everyone slugged through, and given how this has clearly receded given enough time...

I wonder if this means that awesome Marvel six player beat'em up could ever appear on XBLA/PSN.
