Borderlands 2 and Halo 4.

Yeah halo 4's MP sounds awesome with the consistent "hero" you can develop and maintain through co-op multi and campaign missions.. I'll be in for that one, for sure. Gotta convince my pal Simosaurus to get into that game. :)

I should be on friday or saturday to do the ME3 some if you guys are on. if gold seems to be too difficult due to banshee spawning...who cares. hahaha, the goal isn't extraction. but we might have to throw in some bronze and silver to get our newly promoted back into fighting form.

Crew up in Max Payne 3. ;)
Borderlands 2.
I'm probably going to end up buying that and Black Ops 2 at some point to help keep me preoccupied until RE6. Something I wouldn't have had to consider if Bioshock Infinite wasn't delayed until next year. :headache:

DAMN YOU LEVINE. :censored:

Looking forward to a very cool Operation Shieldwall. I wonder why they didn't do this earlier. Sounds like an excellent way to throw a wrench into things :D Also, rather intriguing that we HAVE to fail an operation to get something interesting rolling.

Out of all of those, I'll probably only get Borderlands 2. Even then, the changes had better be substantial enough. I'll guess we'll see when the demo comes out (when it does) and make my decision then.

Sounds good for Fri/Sat! I've got a couple in the high teens that I need to get up to promote. Then onto some silver to level up our level zeroes.

Hey Spy, how is Max Payne 3? I thought about buying that one.
I'll be rocking Borderlands 2 and Halo 4 MP with you guys most def. Call of Duty is only a campaign for me, never touch the multi.
Guess I know what I have to pre-order now. :whistle2:s
5 20s ready to go, those G/G/W will be pretty funny with banshees this weekend
we'll be ready...with rockets.

ah...im glad to see Kratos will be making his debut as the x-cerberus vanguard. hahaha.

i'm glad these MP DLC is free (with online pass)

Stoked to see what the Vorcha are bringing to the table. I also hope that the dude Quarians actually have some different stuff backing em up.

Also, this sounds sick:

Krysae Sniper Rifle – This Turian antimaterial rifle is modified to kill Reaper enemies. The Krysae’s scope uses a rangefinder that adjusts to keep the target in proper proportion to the shooter, which comes in useful when the sniper is forced into close range. Its specialized ammunition is both armor-piercing and explosive. In a desperate move, the Turians released its specifications over the extranet so that nearly anyone with a fabricator could manufacture this weapon to help the war effort.

*see batarian submission net description for more details. some experiences may vary, conditions included, damage subject to change. no refunds.

im basically hoping the turian sniper rifle's ability translates to, the scope's field of vision expands when targets are close.

Can't wait to try out the new stuff and nice to see it's free for Online Pass members but man I was hoping it'd be available for this weekend's challenge. Oh well, I'll be on Friday to do the challenge (I have a lot of lvl 20 characters now) as I'll be traveling this weekend anyway.

Yeah ChubbyNinja, Max Payne 3's campaign is cinematic beauty and the multiplayer is a lot of fun with neat little additions to having there be objectives in deathmatch. They also got slow-mo to work in multiplayer!

So f'ing excited for rebellion! First, the new objective is just what I needed to keep things fresh and interesting. Second, the new whipleash on the excerberus vanguard is sick! That's a move from the infiltrator mobile game. Third, I don't care for the vorcha but this flame ability sounds cool. Fourth, what is this new gear slot all about?

The new maps sound interesting and should require different strategies than we're used to, I'm really curious about the Goddess and how its arena shaped. Gotta save those credits from this weekend until after rebellion hits.

Spy, Thanks for the scoop on MP3. Sounds really good. Maybe I'll pick that up this summer. See you online tomorrow!

Well, with the new classes and this weekends events I'll juggle some of my character builds, names and color schemes. I already had a Batarian I named Jayne. Now I'll have to shift that to the Male Quarian and find him a Vera. I'm thinking the Revenant?

I never considered playing Quarian as Tali-clones before, the suits always made them seem uni-sex to me. So now I just have two Quarians of the same class. I hope the suits are very different and the powers vary more....engineer and infiltrator don't have a lot of variance.

Also: "Kal'Reegar? Nope, never heard of him. He still alive? Vera and I are just making our way back to Serenity." Worst Quarian Engineer ever. I might 0 skill the Drone skill for funsies.

That's all I'm expecting it to be. Altered FOV and in-scope sensitivity to essentially kill depth in the enemy positioning. Hope it works.

hee hee...if i get the unlock in a night's worth of playing yes otherwise I'm still fighting the forces of evil in Sanctuary.

you dint see dem hips? she also screams like a Tali. The suits look different enough but mainly the helmet and hood + the lack of hips and any evidence of breasts. I'm guessing the Arc grenade is just a very shield damaging nade much how the inferno grenade burns flesh and armor. (or not armor). I'm curious to know if scanning is a lesser version of hunter vision conisidering geth's relation to quarians.

yeah, the indra is actually pretty decent when you just need to shoot from the hip as well. now to see how fast the reload speed is as well as the shots in the clip.
My ZOOT!
LOL. Yeah, I guess. Tend to be more focused on the game than my Quarians hips. Nor do you really see the frontside. I guess as long as they move differently enough and the suits are varied, I'll be good. I never viewed them as Tali-clones. I always have more varied color schemes than some of the people who try to replicate Thane, Tali, etc. At best, relatives. I have them damn Krios Boys, Thane's brothers Shane and Kane.

Not too excited for an Arc Grenade, shields pop very fast, especially with any class using Overload on deck. Unless it was radius, but still I use the jumping Overload to stun. When I read Tactical Scan, I thought of Hunter Mode immediately. The ex-Cerberus could be fun is lash has some cool animations. And the "smash" power? Slam perhaps?

In honor of our new vorcha allies:

TUBze.png

perhaps tactical scan is exactly that...a power that lets you scan an area for a short duration w/out the negative shield effects that hunter vision gives you. I know i can turn hunter mode on and off but the buffs are just too good, and I like making my tv hard to look at with the strobing effects. hulk smash!

I hate to add a splash of haterade to anyone hyped up by the Kry's description, but bear this in mind: If it shares the same mechanics as our current line up of grenade/explosive weaponry e.g. Falcon, Scorpion, Striker, etc. then the gun's overall effectiveness is at the mercy of your connection to the host.

The greater the lag, the greater the possible penalty in DPS via "bullet lag". ;\

The fact that "specialized ammunition" made it in the flavor text has me rather suspicious.

Now aside from the lack of a price tag, I'm pretty hyped up for the Vorcha and Phoenix Vanguard, but that's it. I'm irked BioWare completely ignored the opportunity to create something special for my favorite race of aliens (Quarians). New grenades crippled by ammo box respawn timers and what is probably a wacker/overpowered version of Hunter Mode for the most self sufficient class in the game? ...Words can't begin to describe my disappointment.

Oh, and Singularity on a "new" class? I pray they found the time to learn their lesson from the Batarian Sentinel. If Smash isn't ridiculously versatile teetering on the edge of being overpowered, or paired up with Throw/Warp, then PA will serve as proof whomever is in charge of balancing hasn't actually played this game in months. You can't keep shoehorning in mediocre abilities that aren't being buffed properly, decide to pair them with new powers that weren't tested properly and call it a day. Stop being lazy.

Weapon wise... given the Arc Pistol's reputation for being a piece of shit I'm not quite sure how I feel about a shotgun based on its technology yet. If it's a better Disciple with built-in stagger, a light AoE stun, or simply best suited for cutting through shields I'll give it a whirl.

As for the new AR... it's a fully auto Mattock for christ sake. Marinade on that for a second then let your brain simmer for a minute. Right then and there that means it's either the best or worst AR in the game with a high possibility of the gun receiving countless buffs until it becomes the former should the latter occur. Yay... I guess?

I should probably start farming for credits in preparation for the in store Rebellion pack, but I might not even bother this time. If only two or three out of the six new classes are fun to use/actually differ from the status quo then increasing the odds in my favor is a mistake.

the only thing that i can add to Ink's post about grenades is...at least now I have a reason to press Left on the D-pad. (when playing gold w/randoms)

I think also recyclings powers on the adept class/race is because cerberus are humans and outside of the BF3 soldier there wasnt any variation on abilites only gender.

Personally I'm just sick of the constant power overlap and launch problems still not being properly addressed. The game is becoming stagnant with the only differences among the roster feeling purely cosmetic at best. Especially when new powers don't work as intended or aren't worth using. We need more Resurgence tier versatility to help lengthen the lifespan of MP - not less of it and at first glance that's all I'm seeing here.

i think they'd need to remake the MP portion of the game to include enough versatility to keep it fresher longer...who knows. they certainly see the unexpected success of the MP.

as for more resurgence versatility, since this the DLC are free packs to online pass holders there may be less of a motivating factor to add more of what we want...and even some of the die hard ME3 fans don't even play MP. maybe after the Extended Cut is out, they can focus more on the MP experience and something for billy.

Fair enough. I'm definitely not going to bother farming for RP. I've got to bleed this game dry until I free up some extra cash to buy something new.

Anyway here's some leftover information Chris forgot to add to the original announcement:

New In-Mission Objective

Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map.

New Gear Slot
A new slot will be available on the equipment screen, offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match. These new items will vary from weapon upgrades to character enhancements and will be available through reinforcement packs.”

Neither addition does anything for me at the moment. A little worried about the escort objective with randoms maybe but I doubt it's anything cloaking couldn't cheese through unless it's like a mobile hack. Oh God... now that would be a catastrophe.

I'm looking forward to the new MP DLC (free is nice), but the one thing I'm not looking forward to about it? This crucial little detail:

NEW IN-MISSION OBJECTIVE

 • Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map.

This could either be good (hack a package and bring to a spot, could be ok) or escort (REALLY, REALLY BAD: serve, suck, and die). Escort missions are the absolute worst and frankly, shouldn't be in games.

Aside from that, hoping the AR is a step in the right direction. Also, buff the Revenant to ME2 levels please.

a persistant equipment bonus is nice, it'll feel like you're not wasting equipment when random pugs fail...as for the escort objective, we spend cR's on a space hooker? wha?

fortunately if you fail an objective wave due to asshats, at least you don't have to stick around since the match ends. I do like that they were able to come up with another objective type. shows some promise.
I beat you to it, Edge. [insert Tha X shades icon here]
True!

However, I did add my own two cents to what it could be, along with my great dissatisfaction with escort missions in general.

Also, I'm impressed with the number of people who decide they can be high and mighty, by deciding what YOU should play. Or how. Or with what. On a Bronze match.

I was in a Bronze match and the person with the N7 1313 rating, decides he doesn't like me and chooses to kick. He's just about to try to convince the other two of how absolutely inferior I'll be (Yes, I was a kroguard with the Striker AR; laugh it up, Garrus) and how utterly beneficial they'd be without me (I heard two words, "We don't..." and that says it all), but I left before he chose to bestow them with his grand wisdom. We were all none the wiser, good sir.

It's BRONZE for crying out loud. If you can't solo Bronze at that point, then there's the problem. Sheesh, like people are entitled to telling other people how they should play. Really now. Take a deep breath and pop the pill labeled "Chillaxin". It'll help. Honest.

Btw, for those looking for more people to defend Sanctuary from the evil minions of Diablo and his diabolical brothers, hit me up. BattleTag: Temjin#1254. Just let me know who you are on the CAG forums.

I was having fun. On Bronze, you don't have to take ANYTHING seriously. Just finish the damn round.

That a person with such a high N7 rating couldn't have fun is...problematic.

You're never going to let me live that down, will you Inky? :headache:

So, I heard that the squad goal for this weekend requires each squad member to promote 3 characters. True? I have two that are close and one at level 13 that'll take some time to get up to 20.

getting to 16-17 is when it starts to slow down...but going from 1-16 is fairly quick, esp if you can get carried in gold. you'll avg 3-4 levels per match.

I've been getting back into the multiplayer a bit. If anyone wants to play, feel free to send me a friend request. Going to try and be around enough this weekend to promote three characters and stock up on credits for the Rebellion pack.

I'll send you a request.

I've got five of my classes at level 17, and I'm going to try to get them all to 20 before deciding to promote characters.

If you unlock all of the commons (weapons, mods and characters), but then buy the cheapest pack, are you guaranteed to get uncommons or rares? Can you get a redundant weapon, mod or character that you already have the max level of?
