I have a list of 500+ items dropping in price to 1.99, 2.99 and 4.99, including new wavebirds (good luck finding a store that has new ones though), third party controllers, memory cards, and accessories. Here's the list..

Oh great, this had to be at GC. Not only are the EMPs big assholes, but there's at least two hoarders who rape that place everytime a deal sweeps through.
 
Sucks that the GC near to my house packed up and disappeared. :cry:

Though, there's another one on the way home, so that might be a stop tonight. Assuming the employees don't pillage those items first and leave anything for us.

Just stopped by my GC. They had the list too. No wavebirds though :( . The guy was real nice and said he had called all the other GCs in the area to try and get a wavebird for himself, but they didn't have any. That's fine, I wasn't going to drive that far, the closest other one is around 20 miles. Anyway, I picked up one of the portable battery packs for 2.99. Since I got my Wii, I'm gonna puy my Cube in my van so I can have gaming on the go. It eliminates the need for a inverter. Anyway, thanks a ton!
 
They didn't have any wavebirds at mine either. I think the guy there said the older wavebirds, not the platinum ones, were 2.99. Right now I'm wondering if it is worth it to pick up the gamecube broadband adaptor?
 
FYI the Marvel Spiderman starter for 1.99 will be the VS starter set that came out for the old Spiderman set back in the fall of 2004. This is a great starter if you want to see how VS is played, but be aware the Spiderman VS set is generally regarded as the second worst VS set of the 13 that have come out so far (Superman right after this was the worst set.) The Spiderman and Sinister Syndicate teams were remade in the recent Marvel Team Up set that came out in February/March and is much better if you like Spiderman and want to start playing VS.

The WoW stuff is the WoW starter that came out last Nov., but that's the regular price it is at any other store. It's probably being clearanced as new starters are coming out for the second set which just hit stores.
 
is this sale confirmed going on right now? i have a ps2 dual shock and wavebird on hold for me and the lady said it was regular price, i didnt ask about a sale going on however....they might hold it for themselves if they know.

Yes, but they probably aren't marked yet. When I went in the guy just had the huge list printed out with all the new prices and was looking at it.

i went and all my GC had was 1 logi wireless contr for 2.99. but it was the older version not the newer smaller ones. still a good deal though. but thats all we had. by the way the wavebird has to be the older version not the newer ones, i think they are the plain gray ones not platinum.
 
i went today and it was a bust, they had 2 things i wanted on the list and i think the employees might have been bs'ing me, iono. i wanted the sony ps2 multitap for 10$ but they said it wasnt the one on sale. they did however have a yuna figure but i passed.
 
Are the official microsoft xbox memory cards a part of this sale? I think I remember seeing a few of these at one, but I forgot to check. I also saw some Gamecube broadband adaptors, but I can't decide if it is worth paying for.

Definitely not the platinum ones. I called the local GC and verified 1) that they had wavebirds in stock and 2) that they were marked down to $2.99. I drove 30 minutes in rush hour to get there and grab a couple and they rang up $29.99 each. I say that I called in and was told they were $2.99. The guy there isn't the guy I talked to on the phone and he figures out that it's only on the old gray ones, of which they have none in stock. He was firm on going by what was in the system, not what the other employee had told me. I was not happy about wasting an hour of my time in traffic.
 
Damn it, I would love to get a couple wavebirds. Too bad the local GC, closed here a few months back.

Good lord. What I wouldn't give for RE2 and RE3 on Cube that won't cost me over $60 in total for used copies. :| I'd so go for this if I wasn't on the fucking east coast.

Man my GC sucks. They had nothing and the employee there was a dick, treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about when his ass had no clue. I eventually starting reading the damn list to him while he checked the computer for stock and which then proved I knew what I was talking about. Why don't these damn employees know this? I am sick of being treated shitty because of employee ignorance.
 
Hm... suspicious. I found 2 Onimusha 3 swords in stock and they said it still scanned at $29.99. He called another store down the road and they said the price drop had gone into effect. I was told to come back when they open tomorrow and the price should have dropped by then. BS perhaps? :cry:
 
They had 3 Wavebirds at my local one. All rang up at the regular price. I left home sad. lol. Said he knew nothing about a list. Do you think they'll officially update all the prices tomorrow, or is it by checklist only? I hate for them to scan everything one by one.
