Master Chief or Samus?

How 'bout this, since Samus seems to be superior in armor and firepower: Master Chief with overshield and rocket launcher against Samus. Eh?

Nope. The only scenario in which MC wins is if Samus is felled by congenital heart disease.

Lol, this is one of those GameFaq polls. 1. Samus has 10 energy tanks. 2. Lock on ability. 3.She also has a scan visor, and hack MC's suit. 4.Infinite ammo, and missiles. 5. Power bomb. 6.Double Jump. 7.Can surivive in practically any environment. 8.Master Chief would get killed if it was 6 elites vs. 1. 6 space pirates vs. 1 Samus, Samus would win.

Some random thoughts:

MC has infinite 'energy tanks' provided he found cover enough for his suit to recharge. Where did you get that 6 elites vs. MC number. If you played tactically I don't think x-number of anything would be a problem.

What would the scan visor do, besides make her waste time reading useless trivia. MC's suit is vacuum sealed as well, so he could survive in any environment as well. The Flood could jump high too, but that didn't stop them from getting hosed.

heh...I can't believe I'm analyzing this stuff.

I Beat Halo on Legendary difficulty and no way could I take on 6 elites, unless I had a rocket launcher. Samus on the other hand, has to take down like 6 at a time against the fight against Omega Pirate. In multiplayer in Prime 2 scan visor can be used to hack the other player's Samus. MasterChief would get owned because she's got lock on. 1 plasma grenade or frag grenade is the equivalent of 1 missile. Samus has hundreds of missiles, with lock- on. And to the guy who said what about MC having overshield and rocket launcher, Samus would still win. She has a rocket launcher and can shoot faster than him. This GameFaqs poll is ended.

I'll let your minds grasp that concept for a lil while.

Master Chief's a guy, his name is John. However, there are lady versions of the SPARTANs (that's what MC is) so to speak. Some even faster or better shots than MC himself.

I may be biased, but Master Chief could also easily win. With Echo 419's help, he could get unloaded off a Pelican while in the Warthog, and Master Chief would run over Samus. If Samus didn't die, reluctantly, Master Chief could whack Samus in the back (Melee in the back = K.O.), and corpse rape her. :twisted:

Let me say this again....

"Samus vs. Master Chief?

You may as well have said Wonder Woman vs. Gary Coleman. It's not even close. Samus's weaponry is far more advanced, she can take A LOT more damage, she's much faster, and more agile."

MasterChief's weaponry has ammo limitations regardless of what he uses. Once he runs out he's done. What is he going to do? Pistol whip the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy into submission? That wouldn't . The only thing he has that could even cause any concern is a plasma grenade and that concern would be minor since he can only carry a few and she has too much speed and too much in energy reserves. All Samus has to do is hit Chief with a charged plasma shot or ice beam and he's done.

That's just it, MasterChief would HAVE to have help to beat Samus. But this is Masterchief vs. Samus, not MasterChief, Echo 419 and a vehicle vs. Samus.

You do realize Samus has beaten Ridley, Kraid, Mother Brain and Metroids? MasterChief couldn't hang with any of those. Samus has better armor, MUCH better weapons, MUCH more energy.
 
Guile pretty much hit this right on the head. Samus would easily defeat Master Chief. Samus may or may not even be human, so if the Chief happened to destroy her armor, she may be much stronger than even the strongest humans. Samus would crush the Chief any day.

EDIT: Why wasn't this a poll? Somebody add up the score! I am too lazy!

Well, Samus IS a bounty hunter, and she has no problems working for alien races. The Covenant could hire her to take care of this "demon" that's been destroying them en masse, until, in classic cross-over fashion, Samus and MC realize the error of their ways and take on the Covenant/Space Pirates as a team... blah blah blah. The usual, really.

But I DO like the image of Samus riding shotgun in a warthog!

Though all it would really take for Samus to neutralize MC is a single Ice Spreader shot. And unlike Master Chief, Samus has some in-game evidence that she can hack and take over other powersuits (in Echos MP).
 
When you think of it, this thread is really pointless. The only times you should make threads like this one is when you think of two characters that are almost balanced. Then you can think of creative ways they could use their strengths and weaknesses against each other. While this is like saying: what's more powerful, a 22 rifle or a 50 calibur machine gun?

You're right, Master Cheif has no chance against Samus, so it's really pointless to argue about it.

If you haven't read the 3 Halo novels you can't accurately gauge this fight. If MC gets within melee range it's over for Samus. If she can stay away and drain his shields then she'll take him. MC's reaction time is probably better than Samus, and we don't know who is physically stronger. Master Chief can flip a tank. Not saying Samus can't but we don't really know.

Just about every boss in Metroid Prime has MC beat in strength. So even if he is able to tip a tank over Samus is more than capable of taking anything he could dish out.

Well, I guess that's a point. Although, I think he can only flip a Warthog on the books if I'm not mistaken. But I'd still say the strength to flip over a Warthog transferred into a punch would pack some power. In fact, I know it's powerful enough to turn a Covenant's skull into pulp as MC did on "The Flood" near the end.
