The game might not be as fun as you remember. While the PC and Xbox versions are great, the ps2 version is horrible in comparison. But I guess you cant complain for $2.

I wrote a review for that stick, but it's not up yet.

The short of it is... I wouldn't buy that stick at any price. The stick is terribly unresponsive and it just sucks to play with, at least in my experience with it.

Also, Unreal Championship 2 is back in stock, but it's still only $5 from Amazon.

I got to warn you guys, I bought Sigma Star Saga and Dynasty Warriors Advance at the 8.96 sale. They were not worth THAT much. SSS makes shmup gaming tedious and dull with endless random battles. DWA is just crap. Normal console DW is usually excellent, but even the most die-hard DW-lover has to realize that Koei doesn't innovate.

SSS was pretty decent, worth $10 if you're looking for something new.

Had to bite on Max Payne 2 for Xbox. At $2 and tax, every last Xbox (and Xbox 360) owner should be all other this. I got MP2 as a xmas gift the year it came out (at $44.99 :shock: ) and just couldn't put it down.
 
I ordered MP2. Never played the first one. But I think my friend has it here. Might be the second one. Oh well, $2 is hard to pass up. :) Thanks a ton OP.

everytime i try to push myself over the edge and buy Sigma:SS, i read something like this and i stop. i almost bought it during the CC sale, but hesitated (after a few lukewarm reviews) and they were gone a few days later. i almost choked down on it right now, and read your post and i'm gonna skip it again! i love shooters, but after getting burned on DS Nanosuck, i think i'll wait til' someone here unloads it for nothin'.

Picked up Max Payne 2 @ EB B&M tonight: $1.99

It rang up correctly in-store w/o adjustment.
 
Got a Max Payne 2 for Xbox, assuming it works on the 360. You can't really go wrong for $2 I figure. The code "Saver" works on Gamestop.com too, I guess it's not just for EB any more.
 
On an unrelated note. Resident Evil 4 GameStop Collector's Tin is now $19.99 new. Not sure what's the price used though. I hope I can get Tekken 5 for that price. I think that the store around my house may have 1.
 
Is the Tekken CE the one with the stick? I was JUST in a Gamestop like two days ago and saw it for $70, even though I had thought it dropped. I took it up for a price check and he said it was still $70.
Can anyone confirm this has really dropped? Is there a way to prove it to my GS? I'm not a big fan of Tekken, but $30 for what I hear is a decent stick would be amazing.
 
Bought :ps2:MP2 even though I've read that it's terrible and a travesty and also besides the fact that I put down the first one halfway through due to frustrating controls and platforming elements.

But, two bucks is two bucks :)
 
According to the site, MP2 should be in-store a little ways from me, but I picked it up online. $2 is awesome for a new game, but what's even better?

Buying it online and not having to step foot in an Ebgames or Gamestop to be peddled used crap :)

there is only one Tekken CE which comes with the arcade stick, tekken 5 game plus the DVD collecters case which holds 5 games. Confirmed saw 2 of these at my EB for 29.99 a piece. Great price for a HOri stick even though its fake sanwa parts.

Holy crap I paid $100 for that when it came out a year and a half ago. I'm gonna hit all the ebgames/gamestops and try to find another. That stick is good.
 
Bah, didn't EB Games used to take their own gift cards on their website? I seem to recall using one on there around a year ago. I wanted to preorder a black DS Lite system and pay with a gift card, but I guess I'll have to wait until I find one in-store.

Is that the PS2 Collector's Edition or the Gamecube Collector's Edition? I believe my local GS still has the Gamecube version new (and open, of course).
 
The GameStop Collector's Edition is actually for the Gamecube.

I can confirm these prices are also good for in-store purchases.

I picked up Max Payne 2 and Tecmo Classic Arcade for Xbox for the above listed prices at my local EB Games.

The clerk said the price drop started yesterday. Of course CAG is on it with the latest and greatest game deals!!!! (I of course didn't mention CAG to him) (But I did laugh to myself..heheheh)

On a related note....I went my Best Buy and picked up Burnout Legends (PSP) for the new price of $19.99, and I used the 10% off coupon on top of that!!

The collection is worth $5, but not much more. Tecmo Bowl on the arcade is different than the NES version too.
 
Yeah, Tecmo Arcade Classics also has Rygar and Mighty Bomb Jack, good games. But it's such a small collection and they're mostly obscure. $5 is perfect!

I ordered 1 Tecmo Classics for myself, plus 5 copies of Max Payne 2 Xbox for my friends... It looks pretty fun, but I would never find the time to play it myself. All 6 games for $16.16 shipped!
