I was just there at lunch. On a large fries and their new chicken sandwiches, you get a Best Buy buck (worth $1 at Best Buy) guaranteed with a 1 in 3 chance of getting a $3 piece. You can use these in-store and online. You can only use up to $3 worth on a CD or DVD, but you should be able to use as many as you want on games. I ordered a large chicken sandwich meal and ended up with 2 $3 bucks and a free sandwich. Good luck!

EDIT:

HEre are the official redemption rules. Other than the $300 limit per visit, I see nothing in here that would prevent you from stacking them on games.

Has anyone ever ordered a game at bestbuy.com before? I am looking to get Shining Force Neo with my BBB's but it says that it takes 1-2 weeks to ship. If they cancelled my order would I get my BBB's back?

just read the terms, all best buy bucks redeemed will be forfeited if the order is cancelled. That's pretty screwed up.

thats nothing , if you go into a best buy store with alot of them the manager could say you ripped those off of mcdonalds and take them from you... i doubt it would ever happen but it could.... i bet they will just cancell all the orders if you preorder something that is after the 3rd of dec.....i dont know to risk it or not... if i got 30 bucks left i might risk preordering animal crossing or FF 4... BUT i

think Eb will have a Trade in X amount of GBA gets Animal crossing Free

What if you do in-store pickup? Do you have to show the tickets?

Also, when you get the no purchase game piece, what comes in the envalope?:)

Online order:
Choose item - choose in store pick up at X location - Go to online checkout - Enter codes - Pay tax/remainder - Get order confirmation e-mail - Get pick-up confirmation e-mail - Go to store with print out and either the credit card or gift card used to pay - go to customer pick up (customer service desk) - give them print out - show them card - walk out with game.

no need for BBB in-store...hell, it doesnt even mention BBB's being used on either on your print out or thiers.

You cant order it online for store pickup if the store doesnt have the game......

...they have your game set off to the side. Your print out (btw, dont need the print out i believe...i just call it back up) is proof that they got the order, went to the sales floor, grabbed it, and entered it into the computer.

i had Ys for instore pick up and when there and the dude goes

we havent carried that game in months

and i did get an email saying the order was ready for pickup

That has happened to me before with other stores. I ordered an item at Office Depot for in store pickup, it showed as being in stock. I go to the store, no item. Same thing with Sears, I get an e-mail saying I can go get the order and it wasn't there (blank VHS tapes). They refused to substitute a similar item on both orders as well. Sears even charged my credit card for the items I didn't get. I had to do a credit card dispute/chargeback.

When you send in the game piece request, what goes on the inside of the envalope? Also am I to late to send my requests?

The customer service manager at my Best Buy told me that you can only use $3 per DVD, CD, or game, but as many as you want towards anything else. I asked just to see if he'd give me the bogus excuse.

He's a tough stubborn little SOB. He accused me of working the system when I tried to use a GGC on a game earlier in the year, and he said I was doing it again when I tried to PM TRU's deal.

Oh, and he said someone came in with $200 worth of Best Buy bucks, and he called McDonald's corporate to see if the dude worked there, and got him fired. Not really sure why or if he thought he was ripping off the bucks, but that's wha he said. He claimed BB can verify the orgin of the bucks and whether or not they have been used online.

I think it's just a scare tactic, but regardless, I won't be able to use my Best Buy bucks in that store with him working there.

Hope he likes violating BB policy on how the rules of the game are stated. He can jam his modification of the rules right up his ass.

Games are exempt, and their policy says so. I'd print out a copy of that section of the rules and toss it under his nose, asking him where it states that games are exempt.

I went to Best Buy last night to buy a game for 39.99. I had thiry-two dollars in Best Buy Bucks, and when I went to check out, the cashier said I could only used three dollars worth of Best Buy Bucks towards the purchase of the game. Prior to going, I had read all the Best Buy Bucks Terms and Conditions and felt I was familiar with it. I then called for the manager, hoping she would tell the cashier to honor my Best Buy bucks. Sadly, she also said that the max for a cd, dvd, or video game was three dollars. Instead of arguing and making a fool out of myself, I left. When I returned home, I called the Best Buy number that was on the McDonald's Monopoly Board. The lady I spoke to acknowledged that they should have honored my Best Buy bucks. She said that the only solution is for me to take the game to customer service and have them call 1-888-bestbuy. I am going to go back tomorrow, and I hope everything works out. I remember having just as many problems during Best Buy's two for thirty sale on Greatest Hits, Player's Choice, and Platinum Hits. For example, the cashier said that Mario Golf--with the Player's Choice label on it--was not part of the sale. Out of all of the stores I have been to, BB is the one that gives me the hardest time during sales. Oh, on a side note, the lady I spoke to one the phone also pointed out that you still have to spend at least 50% on your best buy purchase --only twenty dollars of Best Buy Bucks can be used towards a forty dollar purchase, for example. I am not sure if that was mentioned.

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I just want to clarify before I mail in some requests. Am I supposed to send them a hand written envelope, with another envelope inside already addressed and stamped to me? Do I need to put a return address on the inner envelope? And I don't need to have a letter saying I want a game piece right, they automatically know?

Wow...was she ever full of shit. Call back, and if you get her or someone else that doesnt know the rules (as stated on every MCd's gameboard) than ask to speak to someone above them. Seriously. The person above them SHOULD be competent and knowledgeable enough to get you what you need.

Does best buy have DS preorders in store? Because i want to preorder mario kart with my BBBs but don't want to wait for it to be shipped when it comes out.

Oh, she sure was full of shit. I ended up putting that section of the rules onto my Palm and flashed it at them when there was a question.

They were so surprised by that, and I told them "There's no point in coming into your store if I don't know how your promotions worked". That generated a laugh of two, with the cashier saying "I wish all the customers were like you.". :D

im a fool... i just had mcdonalds a couple of days ago, and i got 9 bucks! ive had a couple more times since then and im up to over 30... a fool i tell you, i should have been eating mcdonalds 3 times a day... oh well i just hope to get enough bucks for mario ddr since i didnt get it at TRU

I am also hoping to get DDR Mario, even though I don't want to have to get $50. (I don't need another damn cheap mat...I have metal that can be used!) I'm also thinking of getting Ultramix 3...if it comes out within the promotion. (Haven't looked it up.) I must have some good luck, because out of the 12 BBB I have, only two of them are $1! (And one of them was given to me by a friend....I've been 10 for 11 at getting $3 by myself!) :)

i've been getting two large fries for lunch and dinner for the past 3 days...and i've deffinitly gained 3 pounds which puts me up to 147.

I can't access the official rules here at work, but I seem to recall that one of the exceptions from Best Buy Bucks was for game systems.

On a lark I decided to test out a Best Buy Buck $3.00 code at Best Buy.com to see if it would work on a DS. It did. 40 Best Buy Buck $3.00 codes later I had a DS ready for in-store pickup for about $11.00. I picked it up and the customer service people didn't even bat an eye.

Has anybody tried using more than $3.00 for DVDs or CDs on Best Buy.com?

NICE.
Enjoy your DS :) Now, you wouldnt want to then go use those BBB in-store as well and get yourself a few games to go with the system...that would be bad

Does the no purchase necesary envalope include BBB when you get it back?

Also, when is the latest that I should mail these envalopes?

yes you get a bb buck with it and 4 game pieces BUT i would say the time for sending them in is overwith...

A.... Must be postmark by OCT 31 and Get them by NOV 7

you might be saying i got time BUT

A... FOOD PIECES EXPIRE NOV 15
B BEST BUY PIECES EXPIRE DEC 3

and someone on fatwallet called or another webpage cant remember and Mcdonalds is saying they are flooded with requests and if you live close to OHIO allow 2 to 3 weeks to get pieces back if you live Far away from OHIO ALLOW 3 to 4 weeks maybe even 5 to get them return

So say its taking 3 to 4 weeks to get them back and they get them NOV 1

you get them Back NOV 22 to 29 ... food coupons are no good and you only have a week to spend all the best buy bucks

i live in indiana and my OCT 11 AND OCT 12 sase have yet to come back so you can see they are around 3 weeks backlogged

That sucks. Thank you anyway. So the only way to get BBB is to eat/buy the food?

Edit: Can you put 2 envalopes in one to save on postage? will McDonalds accept that?

well if they still have pieces left and they get them BY nov 7 (they must have them in hand by nov 7- who knows what in hand means.. in the office or they have to see them... then yes, but this late in the game i wouldnt risk a major number of them going out... I was worried about sending 45 more of them out last tuesday..

im taking you only have 5 days left on this example .... no idea if this happen

They get them on NOV 1 and takes 4 weeks to send them back .. meaning they wont ship back out till NOV 29 or 30.. meaning you wouldnt get them back to DEC 2 or 3 probally....

so if they was backlogged 4 weeks then i say your SOL cause the coupons would expire right around the time you get them...

i still didnt get mine back from OCT 11 so its already been 2 weeks so they are at least 2 weeks backlogged...

the person on the CS line said they will probally be chaning the rules next year since this year they got ALOT (They didnt say what alot was) Of people requesting anyone from 1000-5000 and really jamming up the system

"...may mail a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage and their return address (name, street address, city, state, country, and zip code) legibly printed thereon to"
"Participants may submit as many Game Piece requests as they desire, but each request must be mailed in a separate outer envelope."

Badly worded, but there it is

Redeeming the BBBs was harder than i thought it would be.

I went to the store to pick up trauma center with my $28 in BBBs. The person on the floor told me he didn't think i could use that many seeing as how there is a limit on CDs and DVDs. So, I went to checkout and low and behold, i was told that i could only use $3. I simply said that the rules state there is a $3 limit on CDs and DVDs and was not applied to videogames. She then proceeded to put them in and trauma center came out to be 1.99.

I thought i was home free when she then stated that i need to provide a photo ID. I asked why, and she stated that if I use over $25 wothh of BBBs that they had to make a copy of it. I didn't feel like arguing anymore so i handed it to her.

I tried not to make this a wall of text, but it did kind of piss me off that they'd need my ID for a $25 purchase when it states in the rules that it is only needed for orders over $75. I feel that i know more about the promotion than all the employees put together.

Normally i can understand people not knowing all the rules, but when there's only about 5, and its a major promotion...i think thats just really shitty on BB part.

I suggest ANYONE that has problems call 1-888-best-buy, if not just to vent, but to possibly be compensated for thier in-store stupidity.
