I had kinda moved on, accepted what 1up is now, but.. I want EGM back :(
 
More than a bit inaccurate.

The fact is if UGO hadn't done what they did there would be no EGM AND no 1up.com. From the blog of Sam Kennedy, 1up Editor: "And I can’t be mad at UGO, because they didn’t lay off a single person in all of this -- they actually hired on 24 people that might’ve otherwise lost their jobs."

Yeah it sucks that EGM was very abruptly killed...but it could have been worse.

Wasn't mega64 basically made up of egm employees anyway? Or maybe former employees.

If the EGM employees weren't fucked, then it's only the magazines readers, subscribers, and fans that were fucked.

I wonder what they will switch my sub to?
