Damn this was unexpected.

- Mega Man is looking for a vaccine-making device to fight the 'Robotenza', which causes robots to overheat and go crazy

The base for the Sigma virus?

What the hell is up with sheepman.. sounds dumb as hell and looks just as bad bla. Cover is pretty bad ass though, MM striking a pose and shooting a guy in the face :applause:

Considering MM9 was so awesome, this'll be day one.

Never managed to beat it though. Got all the way to Wily, but could never do it.

Why the quotation marks? It is a real sequel. Just like how 9 is a sequel to the previous 8 Mega Man games, even if they don't directly follow the last one (save for 7 and MM & Bass).

As for DLC, it was pretty tame in 9. Harder difficulties, Proto Man (which is no longer an issue), Endless Mode and Special Stage.

A whole lot worse could have been done.

Could be the first steps of that , but until Zero gets involved it won't be the real deal. But we know that Capcom is saving that for last since , well , they can't really do anything else with the original series after that (well they could but it would be kinda strange).

Yep. They left the original series hanging out to dry for so long , they shouldn't do that for the X series too. Both series deserve "closure".

A true sequel typically implies events directly following the former. There's no indication of that yet, hence the quotation marks.

DLC that is pure "fluff" just annoys me is all. I'd much rather have the difficulties/additional characters included (which seems to be the case here). Having extra stages/modes/levels as DLC is fine as long as it isn't purposefully excluded to inflate the price.

Thing is that Mega Man 9 was generally the same difficulty level as earlier Mega Man titles. Expecting harder difficulties to be included is kinda silly, seeing as how we never had those in the NES days (MM2 doesn't count since it was American Mode and Japanese Mode).

BS should be called the moment Capcom makes certain power-ups and abilities DLC only.

Megamaaaayun! fuck yeah!
Here he comes to save the MUTHAfuckIN' DAY YEAH

I'll doubledip if it heads to the 360/PS3 as well. Which it probably will, and we'll find out roughly a week before its Wiiware release.

I'm hoping the picture in the NP ends up on a tshirt. It's just as badass as the MM9 illustration, in a trashy 80s action scifi movie sort of way.
hopefully they do what they did for 9 and also release the fake cartridge packaging
And maybe offer it to more than just the gaming press?

I guess I should get back to trying to finish MM9. Dammit, why can't my gaming skills get better with age?
And maybe offer it to more than just the gaming press?
they did have it up on their store for about 2 minutes

Ah, well, then they need to do an awful lot better than that.

I still say that if you sent them a cartridge and some money they'd transform your NES cart into the fake Mega Man 9 one.

It's not that far fetched of an expectation to expect a game that includes DLC at launch to include it with the game. I'm glad Protoman is being included, as this eliminates one of my few complaints with the game, but I get annoyed with developers that use DLC as an obvious money grab from the very start.

I've been frightened of MM9 due to all the talk about it's difficulty. I have never played a MM game. I know, I know. Maybe I should just buy it and take my punishment? But I'm afraid.

And maybe actually manufacture a working cartridge to be used in NES consoles?

Uh oh. I may have gone too far with that one.

The picture gives me the whole He-Man and the Masters of the Universe feel.

Also, if it were just a tad smaller I could put it in the OP.

That's bad-ass, day one for me. Now if Nintendo/Konami could get their crap together and release Castlevania Rebirth over here, I'll be content with Wiiware for a while. :D

I agree with him. I would love to see that. Although Mega man 10 won't be a bad thing. I really liked Mega man 9 although I never did beat it.

I grew up on MM and MM2 was my favorite NES game but I gave up on 9. I just don't have the patience for pattern memorization anymore. My advice is grab the MM Collection on Gamecube and play through the classics first. If you like those then grab 9.

I was hoping Mega Man 10

A) Wouldn't have come out so soon.

B) Introduced some 2.5D next-gen concepts while still keeping the classic NES look.

I have no doubt it will be a good game. It's just a little disappointing.

Why?? :whistle2:s

Gimmick.

Mega Man 10 does seem a bit soon. It's only been 15 months since 9 released, so we might be looking at a March release date here.

You guys seem to be forgetting how fast Mega Man games usually come out. The first 6 were usually barely a year apart from each other, and never more than 2.
