Saw a PS3 Guitar Hero III bundle for $40 today, No signs for it, but it priced checked at 40. I don't know if that's a good deal or not.

Wow. Will try to hit up the local Meijer tomorrow morning for a couple copies of NHL2k9 (one to keep, one to flip). Combine this with BBV B1G1, then flip at GS for base+Edge+$10 bonus. Good times.

Yesterday, I went back to the Livonia, MI store (on Middlebelt) and they were out of NHL2K9 (PS3 - they still had quite a few copies of GH:A.) You have to love the attitude that the clerks have at that store:

Me: Do you have NHL2K9 for the PS3?

Clerk: Is it in the case?

Me: No

Clerk: Then we don't have it, that's where it would be.

Me: Can you call another store to see if they have any?

Clerk: You're going to have to go to the front, I don't have a phone.

Anyway, I gave up last night. I called the Northville, MI store this morning (8 Mile & Haggerty,) and they had it in stock. I drove out there, and grabbed the last copy. This is where it started to get interesting. They only had one copy of NHL 2k9 in stock. They did have a bunch of GH:A. The clerk in the photo center who helped me first said "We don't match online ads." I pointed out that this was a coupon, not an ad. She said she'd walk me up to the front. When we got there, another clerk (on a register) said that she didn't think they took printed out coupons, but to ask the manager, because if he said OK, she'd do it. They checked, and the manager said OK (because it was one guy, with one coupon, getting one copy (i.e. no abusing it.)) She rang me up, commented on the fact that it was already marked down to $14.99, manually entered the coupon. All was good.

If you're going to Meijer, and plan to use the 2K coupon http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209925, I'd say, it's worth a shot.

This is YMMV, I went last night and there was definitely a $60 price tag on it. Do I need to take it to the register to get the $10 price?

Both stores that I visited had post-it like price stickers lining the display cabinet with the lower prices. I picked up GH:A for Xbox for $9.99 and NHL 2K9 for $4.99 (after $10 coupon.)

There was a 49.99 price tag on my copy, but it still rang up 9.99. I kinda went off of CAG faith and it worked out for me.

Who knows though...maybe it's not chain-wide, but multi-regional.

Although if you really didn't get it scanned, I think there's a good chance you missed out.

I just got back and GH:A is 9.99 at waterford's Meijer. The lady gave me crap when I asked her to take the game out of the case to scan it even though the price tag and shelf tag said 49.99 but she eased up after I was right and it rag up as 9.99. Given how she was with me I didn't want to ask about scanning nhl2k9 for the 360 but I guess it's 100% that it's only for ps3 huh.

Would like to thank the OP for posting the thread and cdeener for posting the TIV for GH:A. With that I was able to get Lost Odyssey from Blockbuster for 13 bucks, score! :D

Do you guys think there should be one Meijer Deals thread? I think it would be easier to keep track of everything if we made one thread. Just a suggestion. Sometimes it is easy to miss things like the NHL2K9 for $5 AC.

Thanks, OP. I was going to pass on GH Aerosmith but couldn't resist at this price.

The Meijer's I went to had a yellow card in front of the GH Aerosmith games advertising the $9.99 deal, so there wasn't any confusion. Sounds like a chain wide sale though, so just have them scan the game if it still says $49.99.

Your welcome. I hope I can make it out there tomorrow and pick this up & NHL 2K9.

If you have any questions on prices, you can always hit one of those scanners they have scattered thru the store to verify the price before schlepping up to the registers.

I just used the coupon at the Essexville, MI location on Pine St. and it worked fine.

I ended up with Lego Batman and NHL 2K9 for $21

Wow this is exactly what they said and what I said back to them at the Meijers I was at. Except they didn't walk me up front. They some guy come out of the back and tell me that they were not a participating store for this coupon.

I have now flipped 2 ps3 copies and 2 360 copies of Aerosmith in at Blockbuster for:

Pineapple Express 2 Disc $24.99
1600 Pt. card $19.99
Boom Blox $19.99

Buy 1 Get 1:

Devil May Cry 4 (360) $14.99
Bioshock (360) $14.99
Condemned 2 (360) $14.99
Bully (360) $14.99

Also bought 1 copy of Aerosmith (360)for myself.

So after taxes and all I got all that for about $60.

Not bad at all.

:)

Well, I went to the Southfield store and didn't see any NHL 2K9 but I hadn't had a chance to print the coupon so I wasn't mad at that. They had about six copies of GH: Aerosmith though which I wasn't able to buy any copies because I was with my family and they just wanted to get in & out so I didn't waste time trying to get a copy out of the case.

Be sure to print a copy of the FAQ from the 2K Sports site. It shows Meijer specifically is one of the participating retailers.

I'm not sure how far you are from Ann Arbor/Ypsi but the Meijer on Carpenter road has 10 or so copies of nhl 2k9 (and accepted my coupon no questions asked).

Well, I'm in Detroit so for the gas it isn't that serious to go that far to spend $5.

I went to the Meijer on Carpenter Rd. last night around 9pm and they only had 4 copies of NHL 2k9 for PS3.

I picked one up, so that's 3 left.

They had quite a few GHs left, but none for Wii.

I went through the self scanners and the guy had no problem taking the coupon.

To whatever CAG posted this on craigslist in the annarbor/ypsi area, your a tool.

I have a copy of NHL 2k9 for the PS3.

It has never been opened, and obviously never played.

I'm asking $40. That's $10 off the normal store price for a new copy.

First come, first served.

I will repeat...tool.

That's hilarious, but I didn't see the post on craigslist. They must have taken it down.

What a douchebag!

Anyway, stopped by the Meijer on Ford Rd. in Canton. They had several GH's for PS3, 360, and Wii.

They were out of the NHL 2k9 and Lego Batman though.
I printed the 2K coupon, but after reading the NHL09 reviews, I left it on the printer. Oh well.
I've only played one game, and it was OK. Well worth $5 and the time it took to drive to 2 different Meijer stores.
can someone please pick me up a copy of gh-as for 360!!! i live in upstate n.y. and no meijer here.
I got a copy you can have that i bought to flip.

I can't get/reply to pm at work, so shoot me a pm whenever.

I went to 3 Meijer's looking for a copy of NHL 2K9 for 360. Could only find a PS3 copy though (saw 1 2k9 at one store, but it rang up as $39.99). When I showed the kid the $10 off coupon at the register, he acted like he never saw a coupon before. I convinced him to scan it though and it took the $10 off.

Anyway, If anyone wants to trade a 360 copy straight up for a PS3 one, let me know.

Some dickwad from my area listed GH:AS for 3 systems right in a row, followed by one with a guitar bundle. I know the posts on CL enough in my area to know that having two of anything in a row is odd, let alone 3 or 4... and they tried to mask it by making them all different locations. Gave awful "backstory" too.

"I've tried and I've tried but I just can't hit a lick. Practically new in box with instructions."

"I bought this game and I can't even begin to figure out how to play it. Papers included"

"My good meaning friends got me this game for Christmas and I just am not Guitar Hero Material....lol includes instructions"

All with what looks like an amazon photo.

Seriously? You can't figure out how to play Guitar Hero? Whatever, dickwad.

I think it is just the PS3 version that is on sale for 14.99.

Hit my Meijers today and none of the lego or GH games were going for the prices listed here. They have the clearance rack that has the usual suspects so I asked the kid to scan Lego Indy and sure enough $39.99 like the sign said. GH Aerosmith also rang up $39.99 even though the sticker showed no sale on it. It really bums me out because I have wanted Lego Indy for a long time and $15 is a sweet price for it. On the flipside I did pick up 3 more Halo wireless controllers with the little guys in the pack for $12 a piece, that should pay for my gas.

Just a notice tom anyone buying Guitar Hero:Aerosmith to flip at Blockbuster/Gamerush. I got denied today trying to trade in a copy of each the ps3 version and 360 version. Yesterday I was able to trade 2 in. There were different employees working today too, so its not like they recognized me from yesterday. They must be getting a lot of people trading the game in.
