This has been available to preorder for a while. I ordered it from Amazon the day after the 3DS was announced. This is not new and not worth a thread since we don't know what the MSRP will be.

Not for the DS -- I thought they were typically $34-29. Hopefully, they can stay at the $29 level for the 3DS.

And why preorder now when we can throw some bucks to Child's Play!

On the Wii, man. These are portable titles, where DS MSRP for 1st party games is usually $34.99 or $29.99.

Sure but look at PSP games. They used to be 50 smackers a game and even now they're still pretty steep at 40 bucks. Also the 3DS is gonna be more powerful than the PSP.

Because Amazon won't actually charge the card until it ships in March or whatever? So no money is actually changing hands.

I'm not trying to be a douche, but I cannot remember PSP games retailing for more than $40, even S-E titles.

As for Nintendo games, most DS games MSRP are $30, with Pokemon titles going for $35 (the latest pokemon titles are $40, presumably because of the bundled pokewalker).
 
Expect 3DS Pre-orders to go up after January 19

Nintendo is going to be in Amsterdam to reveal its launch plans for the 3DS on that day. The release date, price, lineup of launch titles, etc. will all be announced

All we know is March-ish. There'll be an official announcement about it January... 11th I believe.

Oh the PSP games were definitely 50 bucks. I remember goin to Wal-mart the month it was released to get one and most of the games carried a 49.96 price tag.

Heck I even remember when the GBA was released, games were goin for 40 bucks.
