Metroid Prime Trilogy - Out of Print (Thanks, Nintendo!)
It sometimes happens with major games. Wind Waker had the bonus disk with Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Galaxy had a coin, and I think the newest Pokemon game had a figurine.
Didn't Phantom Hourglass have a quill stylus or something?

yeah, but it's not something you want to use. I mean...look at it.

Hopefully Nintendo mentions a release date for NPC Pikmin 2 soon for the US.

Yes please.

I ordered this and NSMBWii from Amazon yesterday with ECA when I ordered Sports Resort because it was in my Gold Box Picks. I wonder if I should cancel the others and try to get Quick Pick discounts on them too. I would just hate for the prices to go up $3 though.

Went to Gamestop and asked about shirt sizes and the clerk had no idea. To be honest, I don't even think he knew about the shirt promo because he thought I was pre-ordering Other M.

No, it's good white. That way you can wear it outside in the summer and stay cool. I'm wearing my XL* Zelda: Four Swords Adventures shirt (black) now and that's because I don't plan on going outside.*

*I got this monster of a shirt in third grade. It went over my shoulders then, and it's still huge now. Not really a good shirt to wear outside.

GameStop posted another pre-order bonus, for online customers only, a poster:
What's the trick for getting stuff to show up in your gold box?
Ritual sacrifice of a NES Kid Icarus cart.

Didn't see this mentioned, but it seems GameStop REALLY wants the business for the Metroid Prime Trilogy. ANOTHER pre-order item:

Reserve Metroid Prime Trilogy and receive a Metroid art booklet. The art booklet contains 5 double sided panels printed with metallic ink on high quality premium gloss paper. The booklet contains development, sketch, and concept art accompanied by the history of Metroid and Samus. Unfolded the total booklet length is just under 36 inches. Available for online and in-store customers, while supplies last.

I think that every copy will have an artbook.

"Online / Store Customers: Art booklet will come packaged with the game."

So it seem that every copy will include one and it doesn't matter where you purchase your copy from.

I just remembered that this disc will not support save files from Metroid Prime 3. We all expected this, but really, Nintendo? Really?

This needs a bump due to its impending release.

I need to visit my local Gamestop and see if they have my preorder stuff in yet.

I hope this sells well. Despite my reservations about Metroid having gone all FPSish, Retro busts their asses on these games. They can't be faulted for lacking polish.

I'll probably go this afternoon to see if they got it in (crosses fingers). If not, maybe I can get the pre-order items. I also have to trade in this horrible PSP game.

Let us know how well the Wii controls work with the original Metroid Prime games in the Trilogy. 1UP says they make the games even better. I'm playing Metroid Prime now on GC.

Saw it today at EB, the Steelbook case looks really nice, though the $10 Canada tax on games (retails for $60 here) makes it worth waiting for a sale instead.

So wait, the poster was originally offered as an online-only item and now I'm reading reports that in-store customers are getting the poster while the online customers aren't getting it.

What a clusterfuck.

The only reason I'm not picking this game up at launch is in hopes that Nintendo continues with their recent Amazon $10 coupon for Wii games.

Same here. I have that $25 GC from TRU for buying Wii Sports Resort, but I'll wait it out for Amazon and probably use the GC on Scribblenauts.
Dont' see it mentioned here... $10 GC to BB for Reward Zone members. Requires coupon print out from https://myrewardzone.bestbuy.com/ -coupon dates valid from 8\25 to 9\6- but looks as if site is down for maintenance today.
Nice and thanks

My TRU had 5-10 copies there this morning when i bought batman for PS3..

FYI.

I was able to get Best Buy to price match the local Fred Meyer's ad down to $29.99 AND give me the $10 gift card. Along with a $10 reward zone certificate, I only had to pay $19.99 out of my pocket, but I had a gift card to spend anyways.

$10 in the end for this set is epic!

Gamestop here has the shirt (had it 2 weeks ago actually), but no poster.

They also didn't have the fucking game when I went there today!!!

They said maybe tomorrow, call first.

Anyways, if I get an extra shirt and you don't get one I'll give you one.

Hey, I'd be willing to trade my extra poster for said T-Shirt.

Thread Title should be "Metroid Prime Trilogy - The Most Awesome-ist Thing EVER!"

I've put about 2 and a half hours into Prime, and I just got the Space Jump Boots (There's got to be a way to get those early in this version). The controls are really awesome, despite what GameInformer's second opinion says.

Gamestop was a complete fail on the preorder bonus!
THEY HAD NOTHING! No poster. No shirt. NOTHING. He even acted like he did not know what I was talking about. Then he was like "oh yea, let me check to see if we got anything in". They told me they got nothing in their shipment for the preorder bonus. Told me to check back later this week to see if they get anything in shipment later. At least I preordered when I could get 25% off a used game . Got that out of it anyway.

Just got this in from Amazon this afternoon, Nintendo/Retro did an amazing job.

 • 3/4 lbs. in weight.
 • Steel book feels very solid and looks very sweet when the cover is removed.
 • Art book is small, but has a high production quality. Glossy print and everything.
 • Poster is folded, at least from Amazon. No real way around this unless they shipped it via cardboard tube. Front side is the same as the front cover of the steel book. Backside has Samus from the three prime games plus a collage of images.
 • Most likely the second largest dual layered disc after Brawl (7.6GB).

I haven't had a chance to play the game yet, but from the production quality of the case and everything, this seriously has to be the best deal I've seen this year, even at full price.

I started with Metriod Prime 1 and I'm probably going to just jump to Metriod Prime 3 Corruption to get friend Vouchers.

I love the case it's nice and heavy.

It's been a while since I played MP3, but, I played for a little bit last night and I got a red one for beating the Parasite Queen. The red ones are different, right? :whistle2:s

I'm hoping to pick this game up, but not for a while, due to my giant backlog.
No matter how great 3 games for (usually) under $50, I can't pull myself to go out and buy it.

Yes, those are different. Although I think they're Orange because you get Red ones from Prime 3.

Just got the Ice Beam (Have to pick it up again because I didn't save because I wasted 20 minutes not knowing what to do; still though, it's right there). Getting the Gravity Suit next.

Also, I'd say right now this game is the front runner for Value of the Year (or whatever it's called).

EDIT: Something cool. The intro to game transition of Samus firing her gun changes based on what suit you have. So if you have the Gravity Suit in Prime, Samus will be in her Gravity Suit before the load.
