Haha, I forgot M$ still tries to compete with Logitech.
 
The x5 is a great mouse. Especially if you dont want to pay for a g500. I like that its a pretty wide mouse so it fits my hand well. I had a few cheaper logitech mice and they were always too small so i couldn't fit my whole hand on them. Ended up hurting my thumb and pinky.
 
I had a Microsoft optical mouse that lasted me about 8 years, then I got a Logitech one which started crapping out within a year. After that I found this one on sale about a year ago and I've found it to be pretty good.

G500 has been about the same price AR from Newegg. For the same money, which is better? Guess it's not a fair question; mouse preference is so dependent on your hand size and grip style.
