Mighty Muggs info thread:
Why? Because they are awesome

Target: 9.99 (not on website)

Toys R Us: 10.49 (http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=mighty%20muggs&origkw=Mighty%20muggs&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1) I have found them to have the biggest amount, and rarer ones of most of the stores

Wal-Mart: 9.98 (Not online?) Maybe some clearance ones?

I went to Borders and I found 4, 4 classic Iron Mans. I ran over and grabbed on and flipped it over, looked at the price tag, $19.99.....:cry::cry::cry::cry:......It sucked, but I did go to Target and grabbed my first Mighty Mugg, The Hulk.

Doubt it, since Hasbro does these and I don't think they can make DC toys.

Any time, noticed that they had Boba Fett, Storm Trooper and some others still in stock. Would've liked to get in on it, but no luck (without having a CC, it sucks).

Wow, Thor is gone. That is fast. It would also seem like they are cleaning up the stuffs a bit. Darth Vader is gone from search as well as Princess Leia and Han Solo.
 
A friend at work told me got his first muggs last night at TRU, and mentioned seeing a Stormtrooper. I ran over after work and I got it! (Sorry, Vulcan, it's the lighter model.)

So.... anyone with Venom looking to trade? :)

Yes....Like I've mentioned before, its cheaper to pick up a Hulk or a Obi-Wan at your local store, since they are pretty common, and primer and paint.

Thats what I plan on doing, buying a Hulk (well 2, so I have a regular one) and try to at the very least, alter him a bit to get my feet wet with customizing (very artistically inept).

I hadn't even considered painting over one. I'm thinking of making a panda bear though, so I might get one of the black ones in the future so there's less painting for me. Now to peruse the MM forum for painting tips.

Good place to look, even have a customizer giving tips.
 
Looks like they upped the price to $10.99 at my local Target for these things. Selection's pretty sparse though. I'm gonna try Wal-Mart tomorrow. Damn me for stumbling onto this thread. These things are too damn adorable.

Anyone have the pictures of the Storm Trooper variants? I just want to see the difference.

Most of the Muggs on Toys 'R' Us' website are "temporarily not available" when I checked it today.

They did? When I was at local Target yesterday, I checked the price and it was still $9.99. If they changed the price, then I wonder how much the ones at Toys 'R' Us and Walmart are going to be. :whistle2:|
 
Just got in two blank white mighty muggs I ordered. I know, I know it makes more sense to buy a random one and sand it down, but I'm lazy. Anyway, wanted to share the random text on the back of the box, kinda funny -

"you can't get enough of us, because yes, we are that awesome! you demand to see the characters you want. well, we don't have the time to obey your whims. we are not your monkeys. you want to see a figure so bad? make it yourself."

Buying blank ones are okay too. No need for the extra sanding and priming to cover all the colors, especially the white one.

If it were not for the tax, I might grab couple blanks, just for the heck of it, since you cannot get them in stores.
 
I preordered the re-release of classic Iron Man from bigbadtoys.com instead of wasting gas looking for one. I also preordered the GI Joe sets too. I can finally stop driving around like a madman looking for mighty muggs. :)

Right. I read the thread again and the person mentioned switch to lighter color. The person posted the picture also mentioned time stamp, what should the time stamp of the darker Trooper be?

Strange, I have two Storm Trooper that I think have lighter armor, but one sports a darker gray on the arms. The worst thing is that both have bad paint jobs. :whistle2:|

I finally found some muggs I wanted. So TRU had 2 Ghost Riders, and a Thor. Picked them up, they also had their Doc Ock rejects. No new Star Wars there.
 
What are you guys doing with your Muggs? Like, what seems to be the standard of displaying them? I've got my three(disgraceful, I know!) just chilling on my desk, but will probably move them around once I grab the 8 on my "to get" list.
 
I just have my 4 (Cap America, Thor, Venom, Doc Doom) on top of my DVD stand. It's kinda tiny so once I get more I'm gonna have to move them.
 
I have mine on the tops of the cabinets around the desk in my office.

I finally saw the Indy wave 2 muggs in Walmart last night. I really wanted the Monkey Man, but decided to wait. I'll be going to PA this weekend for a wedding, so if I'm lucky there might be a store near the hotel that I can check out for my missing muggs.
 
I only have one MM, and it's sitting on my desk. There are only a couple of them that I want. I'll probably put them next to my Star Wars potato heads.
 
Saw the new wave of Star Wars at Toys R Us, with Doku, the weird alien chick, and I forget the other one...I just want Anakin from that set...that was the one that was taken :bomb:
 
Just got back from TRU, got Doc Oc. and Anakin :bouncy:...almost picked up Thor but seeing in it in person made me glad I didn't get him on HSBTS.com yesterday

The dark features on his face are really orange, looks really weird. I thought it was a bad paint job/variant but they had 2 others and they looked the same...yuck.
 
Any Captain Rex sightings? Haven't seen any of the new waves in Nor Cal, either that or everyone is buying them up right when they hit the shelves. Unlikely though since we all know there's always that one really unpopular figure in waves of any series that tends to collect dust.
 
Picked up my first MM today. Just Indiana Jones set and maybe a few of the GI Joe ones for me since I'm not a big comic book fan anyway. These things are adorable. I wish they were slightly squishier though. Makes me worried about how the Fertility Idol I ordered on the Hasbro site will look though since there were some clear blemishes on the paint jobs of all the Indiana Jones MMs I saw.
