Mighty Muggs info thread:
Why? Because they are awesome

Target: 9.99 (not on website)

Toys R Us: 10.49 (http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=mighty%20muggs&origkw=Mighty%20muggs&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1) I have found them to have the biggest amount, and rarer ones of most of the stores

Wal-Mart: 9.98 (Not online?) Maybe some clearance ones?

Anyone know any free shipping codes for Walmart.com? I have a $10 GC for the site and want to get Dr. Doom but don't want to spend extra on it.

Only the Hulk is available for Ship to Store. I might just go with the Hulk but Dr. Doom looks cooler.

I'm interested in the Marvel ones, non-Marvel are available for S2S.

Was anyone able to find Venom or whatever Walmart website stated "In Store"? I am just wondering if I should still go Muggs hunting...

About Human Torch, it is basically a repaint of Ghost Rider, even the flame color of hair and style are the same.

Also, Punisher appears on the back of the box, as one of those small images, not sure what that might indicate about it being exclusive. Maybe only Jigsaw is exclusive now?

I've already stuck myself to pre-ordering the ones that I want from Bigbadtoystore. They're a little more expensive but I too am getting sick of checking out store after store only to be greeted by another Mace Windu or Luke Skywalker.
The only thing that sucks is that purchasing online doesn't really let you investigate the actual figure for any odd marks, until it ships (unless you want to pay for "collectors grade" which may or may not cover this. Oh well. At least I can sleep easy knowing that I at least have 'em coming.
 
I finally found captain rex, darth maul, galactus, silver surfer and human torch and they were at the tru and target stores that I thought were not going to have them. Good thing I checked. :)

Looks like I got lucky, stopped by Target on my break and found all 3: Silver Surver, Galactus, and Human Torch...all in what looked like perfect paint jobs :bouncy:...left Wolverine behind.

I saw those 4, Spiderman, and Hulk at my Target today. I didn't even know which aisle to look down for them.

Does your Silver Surfer has the small dent like thing on its head? It is above its left eye. The ones I saw and got all have that, not sure what is going on.

I ended up leaving Wolverines behind too, though might still pick it up since it is still cheap.

Has anyone got any luck finding the new re-release ones at Walmart?

My Thing doesn't have a small dent on the head...I didn't notice one on SS, I left him in the car, I'll inspect more closely when I open them and let you know.

Heh, that is okay.:) Maybe I should have state it as "small dent like mark". Sorry for the confusion. I was just trying to find out if it is some sort of manufacture "glitch" or whatever it should be called that applies to certain ones only. No hurry. Thanks for willing to check.

Oops, I just look at mine and it is actually near the center at the area where I circled. Sorry, I borrowed your picture, because the digicam I have cannot take clear enough picture. Maybe it is not a dent, paint chip perhaps.

I ended up buying Commander Cody, leia and yoda for $20 each at an Urban Outfitters, much pricier than a BigBox store, but its pretty much the same price as eBay and you get to pick, and enjoy the hunt...

[/quote]Thanks. That's just money right there. I would've picked one up I saw at Target, but the paint job wasn't quite good enough. Now I'm gonna drive around town looking for this. And I thought I was only going to get Indy MMs.

I haven't bought one yet but reading this thread and looking at a couple stores have pushed me very close to buying one. It reminds me of Beanie Babies and hunting down the hard to find ones. Now how do I justify buying these to my girlfriend? We don't have the room for these.

Yesterday I saw wave 4 of Marvel at Target and today they were gone. Stopped at Walmart and saw Indy, Hulk, Mola Ram, Doc Ock, and a couple others. Some of the boxes were kinda beat up.

Yeah, it does remind me of beanie babies a little. But these are cooler in my opinion, I don't buy them if the box is messed up. But there are exceptions to my rule, like if it is Venom:D:D:D

Oh they are cooler than Beanie Babies for sure. I remember when I was young going around with my mom and sister looking for Beanie Babies and calling stores everyday to see if any came in. I was a dumb kid.
 
I have shit luck looking for these things. I've only bought one, Wolverine for my nephew. I'd pick 'em all up at some point, but the stores around me only have one or two tattered hulks. :(

And somehow buying the sets online just isn't the same.
 
Are we allowed to trade Mighty Muggs via CAG forums?
I have a few extras from me being over zealous about the perfect box and friends hunting on my behalf. I rather share with a fellow collector than return them to the store for it to get picked up to quiet down a crying 5 year old...

Absolutely, anything can be traded on CAG (except illegal stuff and a small list of stuff). In fact there is a trading forum for MM, http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196673.

But expect to have to send first because you have no feedback.
