I wish they'd give an XBLA game away again. :)

Kind of interesting. When you have the 360 connected to your TV via HDMI it doesn't boot up if the TV is off.

Pixie, if you really want to create a PM to someone offline, go to your user CP, select "Send new message" (or something like that) on the left nav column, then just fill in the form. As you type a name in the To: field, it will start brining up usernames that match.
 
Played some Band World Tour mode in Rock Band yesterday. It seemed to hate me and my friend as it kept giving us the Metallica DLC songs in the random request gigs, which were hard even when we'd knock the difficulty down a notch in preparation. Still fun though.

Played a little Warhawk. There's a shortage of good servers that support splitscreen and not the new booster pack. I'm surprised by how many have bought that already. I guess I'll have to get it when I get some Xmas money.

Gonna play some HL2 for a little bit now.

I know, but I didn't realize that it would be such a pain to get everything over to my grandparents' place.

I'm just annoyed at the fact that my aunt's ex-husband stays at my grandparents' a few times a year but never does anything for them. All he does is create an assload of aggravation and stress for my grandmother. It doesn't help that he chose this weekend to stay there so she's acting all crazy about me moving stuff.

Ah well.

Load times aren't as bad as the frequency, which was about every 10 minutes or so from what I could tell.

Ah well.[/quote]Moving's never fun. This I know too well from my last move. When we moved into our house, my wife had to move 1/2 mile from her place to our house. When I moved, I had to move 20 miles.

Plus, the week before I moved, I went to my apartment, which was right by work, and spent a couple of hours loading up my car with a load of stuff that I want the movers to deal with. I think the first day was my cats, the second one was my electronics, the rest was other stuff like breakables and the like. When I was finally done with that week, I was saying that I hated having so much crap. :lol:

Moving sucks, pure and simple. Hate to hear that your aunt's ex is being such a giant dick about things.

Found a more annoying enemy than those creatures on the ceilings with tentacles, the manhacks (I think that's what they're called, the flying, aggressive machines.)

My nephew just got KO'd by Glass Joe. He IS 6 after all. At his age, I could beat Super Mario Brothers and Metroid no problem. Time to have a videogame boot camp.

I could do well at SMB then, though I always had problems with world 8, so I never beat it until much later (in my teenage years, playing SMB All-Stars). Metroid was a fucking bitch and with the stupid passcode system, I always triple-checked the code, but then they never worked when I entered them back in. :/

Punchout on the otherhand? I could usually make it to super macho man -- on the occasion that i beat him or entered a code to get to Mike Tyson, that fucker whupped my ass on a regular basis.
 
Mike Tyson is an asshole, and he's not fun to fight. I beat him long ago, but now I give up. I'm not as good as I used to be. Now games I used to play for fun, like NES Ninja Gaiden are just annoying and hard, packed with cheap shots. fuck you, bats and eagles.

True! I remember I could make it to the last boss on that game and routinely get my shit fucked up. Another one that drove me bonkers was the first Castlevania -- I'd either get my shit fucked up by the Grim Reaper -- I don't think I ever made it to Dracula in that one. I usually ran out of continues before I ever got to him.
 
I was always convinced that some NES games were soul-crushingly hard because they were never finished, so they prevented you from getting too far. And the Grim Reaper would usually be the end of my Castlevania session. I could beat him sometimes, but I hated fighting him.

Yeah. I like my new place. (No ghosts, either.)

I wasn't able to get a loft, so I just got a one room apartment.

I'll try to get pics, or even video, as soon as I am able to do so. I might even make a vain, CheapyD inspired YouTube video. ;)

I want to get everything squared away before I invite anyone inside.
