Mirror's Edge - Gen. Discussion & Info - Demo Now On XBLM
I wish there was no gun play or being shot at. I really would just like the game to be about getting from one place to another and about that process.
I think I would have enjoyed the game more without guns as well. It's kinda bogus to spend 90% of the game perfecting your timing and running skills only to be pushed to the side half an inch by a stray bullet thus causing you to fall to your death. Maybe even a mode where there are no weapons or enemies.

I also would prefer the time trials NOT to have enemies, that would give me much much more motivation to actually try and complete them. I think that there are enough games about not getting killed by machine gun toting enemies and that this should be about getting from point A to point B. Although I totally understand why they are in there, I mean otherwise you wouldn't feel that adrenaline rush of truly running.

Oh that's really crappy... I thought time trials didn't have any guns or shooting... was looking forward to those after I got through the story- oh well

The love/hate relationship continues. When this game is great it's really great but I have gotten stuck a bunch of times and gotten angrier than I have ever gotten by any previous video games I've played. Just finished Chapter Six so I can see the end in sight (figuratively speaking). The dissappointing thing is I was hoping to finish this tonight and return it and pick something else up but w/e.

yeah it can be very frustrating at times, but i enjoyed this game alot, but i think ninja gaiden 2 is so much worse then this, i mean ng2 will just put me in a bad mood all day long, that game is annoying. (to me) but they are frustrating for different reasons IMO mirrors edge because the controls can be wonky and get you killed alot ninja gaiden 2 because it is hard as hell

NG is notorious for being brutally difficult that's why I never bought it. Mirror's Edge makes it much harder than it should be at times and the gun stuff is irritating. I just got to the part with the pursuit police or whatever they are called and they are REALLY annoying...

yeah they are very annoying, but it was a good game IMO but the controls don't always work right, i hope they make a second one but fix the controls and a couple other issues the game has. but the game can get under your skin. i just traded it away, but i plan on buying it again eventually

I just finished it and that was a good ending. I like the end music (haha). The last two chapters and the beginning were the best parts because there were longer moments of puzzle platforming. There was a little portal-esque humor that I noticed most notably in the load (I mean elevator) parts. Even though I had lots of parts I got stuck on I still think I finished the whole thing in less than 7 hours which is pretty short. I think I'm done and won't be doing any time trials I'm just too burnt on the whole game. It was fun and I'm satisfied but I can't play anymore until the sequel...

It was definitely worth buying used from GS...now I can return it and get all my cash back tomorrow. I liked it though.

Just finished this. Had to force myself to play the last 2 chapters. Whats up with the cut scene audio being so much lower than the in game audio? Anyways I didnt give 2 shits about the story at the end and just wanted it to be over. This was a good idea with a long drawn out execution. Oh well.

I finished this game a couple weeks ago. Its a good game, I would rate it a 7 out of 10. The music was great, the gameplay was interesting for the most part, but the game could have been a bit longer. I would buy it for around $15.

There is really no other game like it out there.

I had much more trouble playing through the middle. I actually enjoyed the last two levels quite a bit...
