Mets can't hit anything today....oh wait it's been like that most of the year.

Anyone think Santana regrets going to the Mets?
I bet Johan wished he were CC. Even the Twins are a better team than the Mets.
Padres just turned a triple play against the Mets.
and Niese still dominated the whole game....but CURSE YOU CHRIS DENORFRIA! 1 hit away from a no hitter....oh well. Its funny that the team who turned double/triple plays ended up losing. We turned 4 in the day game and lost, and they turn that in the night and lost....funny correlation.

glad we got the rubber match and the Mets went 5-1 during this homestand. Hope the Mets can finally do something on the road and start to win some game. We have been abysmal and there is still no answer why.

I have to say that the Padres IMHO have one of the best 7-9 guys in the bullpen in the league. Greggerson,Adams, and Bell are nearly unhittable. Greggerson's slider is RIDICULOUS!!!

!

Not exactly pleased with the Red Sox dropping 2 of 3 to the lowly Indians so far. Seems this season they'll just be coasting along and randomly get beat up by a bad team (Orioles swept them once, Rays and Indians have both played well).

As much as I have been happy that they've recovered from their middle-season swoon, if they don't stop laying so many eggs against the teams they should beat they're not catching the Rays and Yankees.

Rangers destroyed the Mariners in their 4 game series. With the exception of Cliff Lee being dominant in the first game, but man the Mariners are one really bad team with a lot of problems. I expect Cliff Lee to be traded this year. No way he is going to want to stay in Seattle.

if someone is willing to rent him for a playoff run than they are going to have to give up some good prospects. i really bet he won't be traded unless the asking price goes down...because any team will be able to snatch him up after the season ends so why pay the mariners so much extra when they are going to lose him anyway. I would rather go get a Kevin Millwood at a way cheaper price. He can eat up innings and he has been pitching decently even though he doesnt have a win to his name...but put him on a team like the Yanks or Sox...he will start to rack em up.

Morales for the Angels is out for the season. He broke is leg while jumping on home plate on a walk-off home run against the Mariners. LOL
I hope Lee doesn't go to the Yanks. My fantasy team won't appreciate the rise in WHIP due to going from a great to a terrible defense.
Right. Because Jeter, Cano, Cervelli, Arod, Tex, Granderson, Swisher and Gardner are all terrible.

I hate interleague games. I have to root for the Fillies over the Roid Sox.

Last I heard, it was 10-12 weeks, which would put it at late August, just in time for the final playoff push. I really hope he can come back. The Angels need his offense.
Keep rooting, they could use the help tonight.
You want a cookie for beating up on Grandpa?

I am still waiting for the Roid Sox to finally win a legit World Series. 91 years and counting so far.

hahaha pulled a bill grammatica....classic!

Mets take out the lowly Os.

What is wrong with the Os....They have such good young talent but they can't put it together.

Sox and Yanks with HUGE wins today.

Personally, I am rooting for the Sox for REALLY OBVIOUS reasons but at the same time i am a huge fan of Pedroia and Lester.

They have won two legit World Series so far, so I am glad to tell you the wait is over! Go fucking celebrate!

When was this? Last time I checked, the 04 and 07 teams were tainted with Big Poopi and Man Ram. Nice try though. 91 years and counting.
Maybe you can root for Joe Blanton and his 6 ERA against the Sox tomorrow.
Too bad the Yankees new personal bitch in Beckshit is on the DL. 7.29 era? Robinson Cano would have a batting average over .400 for the season so far if Beckshit weren't a pussy asshole who beans hitters because he was getting beat up while pitching.

Should I root for DMat and his "lucky" 4.5 era because he has been about 2 times worse than that.

Maybe I can root for Wakefield and his 5.5 era. God knows he has stunk this year, especially when pitching to VMart.

Ubaldo Jimenez moves to 12-1 for the season. Just give him the Cy Young already. Guy is going to have at the very least 15 wins by the All Star game.
Fillies are just getting ass raped by the Roid Sox.
Dude the whole league was tainted for a while now. So do we take away everyone's championships for the last 20 years or so including the Yankees?

2009 had legit steroid testing. So the last World Series team is Clean so my Yankees have a legit title. Unlike the Roid Sox who have to fucking cheat like every other team from Assachusetts. 91 years and counting.

Yup, it's ONLY Mass teams, no other teams have ever done anything wrong. I'm sure the Yankees won at least one while Giambi was on the team.

I'm not even going to bother arguing with you about this as it's been argued with you before.

Anyway, the Mets won a road series!!! (Even though it was against Baltimore)

Mets with 5 runs against Millwood in the first inning. Carter has now hit 2 homeruns in the past 2 days so far. Not a bad start. Already 1000000 more production from Carter than the Mets received from GMJ in 2 plus months.

Strasburg with 4 k's, 0 walks through 3 innings.

Strasburg with 7 k's and 2 walks through 4 innings. Starting to look human now by giving up the first walks of his career after getting like 20 k's in a row.

8 k's, 1 hit through 5 innings so far.

Fillies beating up on the Roid Sox so far. 4-1 over Wakefield.

It's a good time to be an owner of Hamilton, Byrd, Hart, Rasmus, Tulowitzki (current injury notwithstanding), and Rolen.

Yes, I own all of those dudes on my 12 team squad. Picked up Napoli in the FAAB process fifteen minutes before Morales broke his leg, too.

Morrow's finally getting a little luck, Wainwright and Carpenter are Wainwright and Carpenter, Cliff Lee has been stellar.

Can't believe Piniella is platooning a .407 OBP/.860 OPS catcher with a .275 OBP/.578 OPS catcher. What a fucking moron.

I want the Yankees to move into a division that has the Orioles, Indians, Astros and Pirates as the other 4 teams.

Posada is inching closer and closer to Cooperstown. Pretty funny that he goes 6 years without a grand slam and then hits one in back to back games.

What is up with that? 7 Homeruns and 30 plus walks in 50 games is pretty great coming from the catchers spot in the lineup. Especially with the amount of suck around the league that teams are putting into their lineup from that spot. 38 year old Jorge Posada is still in the top 5 for hitting catchers.

What a shock from today's Yankees/Fillies game. Yankees offense just kicked Halladay's ass and win 8-3. Granderson, Teixeira and Swisher all homered off of Halladay. Halladay went into the game without giving up a left hand hitter homerun which changed with a couple of swings of the bat. Even Ramiro Pena of all people just missed a homerun by 5 feet.

Definitely did not see that coming. The Yankees almost never do anything against the Doc. I guess facing all those NL lineups is making him soft (joking, of course).
Rangers are doing pretty good this year
Just wait for them to get to the playoffs and watch Vlad suck it up like he did each year for the angels. Its the only solace I have in them picking Matsui over him. Matsui has proven himself in the postseason.

That's if the Rangers make the playoffs. Angels were 6 games below .500 at one point and are now 4 games above it. Major thing the Rangers have going for them is that they are 2 games up with 4 less games played. I also picture the Angels making a trade to improve their team more than I see the Rangers doing anything.

It is funny that Vlad has 1 less homerun but 4 more rbi's so far this year in 60 games compared to 100 games last year. He has also been a product of Arlington. Home OPS is 1.076 His road ops is .730. 10 HR's and 10 doubles at home compared to 4 HR's and 2 Doubles on the road.

Speaking of the Rangers, Michael Young became the all-time hit leader for the Texas Rangers last night. Congrats to him. Go Rangers!

For anyone watchin Yanks/Phils, I'm disappointed Cervelli missed that home run. He's becoming my favorite Yankee now that Mnatsui is gone and I woulda loved to see his first homer of the year
