Yeah, saw you didnt post a team so I made sure to call mine. Hopefully we'll get enough people for a league. I have a friend who just got the game (he said he signed on to CAG too) and I'll try to get him involved.
 
I just PM'd my buddy, hopefully he'll reply soon. I gave him the link to this thread so he can post what team he wants and to let you know hes here.

I can edit it down. I did that so we wouldn't have people fighting over someone taking their team and having 3 Yankees and 5 Red Sox players in the group if it was 12.

I'm still taking the Pirates, I can't stand these bandwagon jumpers.

LOL, try not to just assume all Yankee fans are bandwagoners. Been a Yanks fan all my life. Hell, my fav. player of all time is thier hitting coach Don Mattingly. Just hate that any time the Yanks are mentioned, people yell bandwagon. You want bandwagon, try living here in Florida and watching the Marlins get to the world series, thats when people bandwagon.

Anyways, which of the two leagues will we go with? Of course I'd prefer this one since I got my team but we'll never get enough to fill two leagues.
 
hrmm I wanna join this league, but I need the game first, and I also have no idea what team is half-way decent to make up for my lack of baseball skillz hehe.
 
While we're waiting for a league, is anyone up for an exhibition game? Ranked or unranked, it doesn't matter as I have only played about 4 games (all but one offline) and I still kind of suck. I'm in MVP mode still.

My Gamertag is MattYoung. I know I have some of you, such as craven fiend, on my friends list, but anyone who wants a game, just let me know.
 
We've seen nothing yet. There's only two of us signed up last time I checked.

I'm thinking we should just play some H2H games and not start the league until final rosters are finished at the end of spring training. A few players on my team/roster have already been released or traded since the 2/14 update and obviously there is no update reflecting that.

Any thoughts?
 
I took Anaheim even though I'm a Yankee fan. We've got 10 if everyone I PMed joined and my friend joins as well. If anyone has someone else they want to join, we've got 2 spots left.
 
Can we have multiples of the same team? I want to play as the Cubs.

If they're taken, I'll go with the White Sox, but I'd rather be the Cubs since they're decent and I suck.

Hey, at least I'm honest.

Ha... Rich, do you have a picture of Dave? I've never met/seen anyone who looks like me. By the way, I don't know if it matters, but I'm 5'8", 125 pounds, just for reference and comparison to your friend.

On a somewhat related note, I played Arkay last night in the NFL league and he said my voice doesn't match my pic at all. He expected me to sound high pitched and geeky, but I have an extremely low voice. It's been compared to Barry White's but I personally don't think it's that low.

Now that I'm done rambling, I just want to let you know that I didn't get around to joining the MLB league last night like I said I would in my PM, but I will for sure tonight.

Anyways, we're down to 2 more spots after my friend joins and someone just contacted me via PM.

Life long Boston/Detroit fan so I know what suffering is between the Sox, Wings, Tigers, Lions, Bruins, and Patriots (not to mention the Indians). Thankfully most of em have turned it around. I want the Tigers though so if anyone takes them before I can get on in the next hour or so I'll beat you like a red headed step child.

Alright all signed up and good to go.

i know what you mean man; the red sox are completely messed up. they still have mienkewitz(sp) and no sign of millar at all. i am just surprised but the latter of that part. i mean where in the hell is millar, did ESPN just decide to throw him off the team, I am at a loss for words on that one. but oh well dougie is the better defender.

yeah i know its been over a week since the quote post was posted, but oh well.
 
If I remember correctly, Kevin Millar is not part of the MLBPA due to entering the league as a replacement player during the strike. Thus, he cannot be included in the game unless they pay him a separate lciensing fee for his likeness which they probably figured wasn't worth the money. He's not in MVP either.

Rich- I got your ready to play message a short time ago but couldn't start the game til I had taken care of something. Now it says you're not on Live.

Since you haven't responded to my latest PM but it says you're on the board, I figured I'd post here. Are you ready to play now?

I'm supposed to play SteveMcQ in the NFL league within an hour or so, so if we don't play very soon, I'll have to wait til I'm finished with the football game since I set that up prior to our MLB schedule being generated.
 
Isn't that the best? Think I've got Boston this week, I'm Detroit, so let me know when you'll be good to play. And if Mintkmart, as I'll call him for my inability to spell, is still on the Sox then he's on two teams since he's on the Mets with the current online roster.

You had a 1-0 lead and then scored your 2nd run I believe in the 7th with the squeeze. Then I blew it with that baserunning blunder and fly out when I should've had the bases loaded with one out. :(

I need to step away from MVP and practice on this game. But as fun as it is online, it can be downright painful and headache inducing to play offline. I know you disagree, Rich, but that's how it is for me. I can barely force myself to finish a game offline. It's strange.
 
maxflight is on vacation and we won't be able to play our game until Saturday night at the earliest. Just wanted everyone to know.

Matt...did you try the sliders posted on this board? They work nicely for me.
