MLB 2K5 League Week 3!

Good game, Steve. You went up big in the first 3 innings, and I took another thumping, 8-3.

I also saw that craven fiend and jlarlee were playing, with St. Louis (jlarlee) leading Craven's BoSox 4-1, not sure what inning.

At least we're getting our games in early.
 
Yeah, fun game. The 9 innings breezed by. Hopefully others in the league have headsets. Makes the game that much more fun.

And it looks as if craven's bad day continued....
 
I will be letting the league fold tonight if no more games are played. We're nearly 4 weeks in and still early into week 3.

isnt there a roster update available? i woudl reccommend that you wait for that and start another one just add i few more guys to replace the ones that dropped out. i know Matt x would play, only if the roster is updated though. i definitely want to play: i've played every single game in hockey no matter the weather and am committed to play on the regular.

man you weren't kidding. close game in our NBA league, then the 4th quarter hits, ice cold.

then i play z in the NFL league, and he gets up early on me so i am forced to pass the entire time, and bam INT after INT. closer than the score indicates, just impatient and going for more than i should've.

then throw this game in. wakefield starts off shaky, gives up 4 in the 1st, then starts commanding the rest of the game. the key play was the miss by my OF, he doesn't miss that, larlee only gets 2. then in the bottom of the 9 i have 2 on and 2 outs and i thought i got a piece of the ball, which i didn't and next thing i know manny is chargin home, which would've been cool, but larlee had moved his catcher out and instead of trying to plow him over, i try to retreat. i may have been able to get within 1 if i plow him over. oh yeah and varitek was the batter, deep ball if he gets a hold of it. but larlee learned a lesson on what pitch not to pitch to me. i will not give that up, since it is my strength. hopefully larlee won't either.

this game is great when the other person has a mic. so that should be a requirement for the next league. i know eddie's was broke, but idk about detroits. but mics make the game go by faster.

right after our game my girl came through with the new headset. the only reason i dont use it in hockey is because that shit is war, baseball however i can just bean your dude. but matt x would be down and there are three guys above me here and that leaves very few spots to fill

nope, started with miller and jermaine owning me, then the alstott running me over, and then my OF playing like crap.
 
So is the league gone? I'm too lazy to check.

If so, it's sad. I wasn't doing well whatsoever (0-3) but now, if the league's gone and I am no longer obligated, I can see if the game will get me anything for trade in value toward WrestleMania 21 since the only reason I had MLB was to play in leagues. If it wasn't for online, it may have been my worst purchase ever. Back to MVP.
 
No word from my opponent this week, as if I actually expected one lol. If theres gonna be a new league, I'm still calling Yanks, I'm undefeated so I should get a little bit of say lol.
 
If you guys want me to start up a new league, I need a firm committment that everyone of the games will be played within the week. (7 days) Anyone who doesn't get it in by the 7 days without reason will be dropped..
 
I can commit to one game a week, of course. I'm still going to see how much trade in value I can get at GameRush, but if it's minimal and/or if you start up a new league, I may keep the game and cause the Cubs to lose more games.
 
part of the problem for the previous league is because the cag forum was down for a few days. heh.

Same goes for me if you need someone to run the league. I know Craven has the NBA league so I could always take this load from him while he's setting up for our next NBA one. Guess we just need people who will stay a whole season and play everyweek and have guidelines. I know in the NFL league, SupaDupa wanted us to use the league website but I think thats kinda nuts. I say communication should be done on CAG, mainly through PM's or the league thread. Should also be done within first few days of the new week with the league admin. checking that a time has been set. Also, whoever is in charge of the league should ask Cheapy to get these threads stickied. Well those are my thoughts anyways. Of course my opponent never replied this week so I'm stuck with time to think lol.
 
I played my game for the week (I know you did, too) but Rich has ceased opertaions on the league. That's why no one's playing. It's dead.

I'll start up a league when I get home tonight. I'll let everyone here who has actually been involved in on the details and work to get people who want the league to succeed. If anyone with any input for it, just PM me and we can get this thing rolling.
 
PM's sent out about the new league to everyone who seemed active in this league. Anyone who didnt get one, and wanted to, PM me and let me know. Once everyone signs in and the league can get rolling, I'll make a new thread.
 
Sorry Gomer. I traded the game in for $15 credit toward Tiger Woods 2005 and $20 off the price of WrestleMania 21. I much prefer MVP, and MLB was the only game I wanted to get rid of.

I'd buy it again for the $15 or so it now goes for if we had a steady online league, but it wasn't worth the money I paid for it when I only played a maximum of one online game a week on there and MVP does everything but online play better.

I was meaning to get back to you sooner, but I rarely check PM's unless I have a new one. I procrastinate a lot and have a short attention span these days, and that applies to e-mails and PM's as well.

Are you planning on checking out WrestleMania? I haven't seen you post in the threads. We need to play as Matt Hardy to honour our fallen hero.

I'm still thinkin wether or not to get Wrestlemania, but hell yeah, after the hell he's gone through, he deserves everything in his honor. Much love for the crowd that was at MSG on Raw chanting "You screwed Matt" while Lita was out there. Glad I have that on tape.
 
Gomer--about the new league...I did get your PM, but I'm not sure whether I'll be here over the course of the summer so I don't want to sign up and have to back out. I thought MLB was one of the more fun games to play online. Had the most casual feeling to it.
