MLB 2K5 League Week 3!

I hate the game without a human opponent for the most part.
 
Really? I thought otherwise since you said you had played 30-some games on your Yanks franchise.

Steve- That works fine for me. That would be 3:30-5 PM, and I won't be doing anything til later on in the evening.
 
Eh I'm avoiding playing with the custom sliders since it's just going to mess me up online. Had been doing pretty well in my online games, but now I can't hit for bunk. :evil:

I only played the Mussina and Johnson games of those 30. :)
 
What's the pitch speed settings for the league? I think in the custom sliders posted, it's at 100...or at least very high as are the pitch locations. It should make it easier, but I still suck at this game.
 
I was looking at the leauge page and I enjoy how Cabrera's the featured player with a 0.000 average yet he still managed to hit a HR.

They don't give averages for single games, apparently, but only for the season.
 
Just a little update: this week will last until early next week because we started on a tuesday and one of the players will be out of town until sunday, so I'm giving him the extra days.
 
DirkChief--please contact me ASAP so I can get your game scheduled and advance the schedule. If I don't hear from you by tuesday, it'll be a coin flip for the game.

Jebus...I should be on tonight from 7-8pm EST. I'll be checking my PMs before then, so let me know if there's a good time for you to play our game. I usually just stay on 'till 9-930pmEST at the latest.

Jlarlee beat me 9-1. :( It was 1-1 til the 7th, where he scored one run, and then got another with 2 outs when my catcher inexplicably threw to second as he was heading home. he scored 3 more runs in the inning and added another 3 later on to crush me.

I blame it on lack of sleep... and skill.

not to burst your bubble or anything, but unless nick zero is a late nighter, then my game with florida isn't getting played until easter. due to be out of town and with limited xbox live time, i may not be able to play until sunday at the earliest, unless he is up for late night gaming. then its all good.

nick zero is a late nighter and me. so both of myselves can play whenever as long as you give me a time. Im in NY so its EST.
 
Texas, bil4l, will be dropped from the league and I will be finding a replacement this week. Now that the weekend is over, lets get our games in and hopefully have a Friday week turn.

good game today marlins. that sucked on my attempt at the inside the parker, if your catcher doesn't run out like that, i may have knocked him over and tied it. but i got too greedy, but i wanted to tie the game. double 0s going into the bottom of the 8th and manny "i can't play the OF" ramirez jumps after the ball has landed. he doesn't jump i hold you to a double, at best for you a triple, no insider. good game and luck for me i didn't end up using my relief guy.

good game though.

yeah man. great game. if you remember, im the dude that traded the raw guide for star ocean so you know it was bound to be a good game ; )- no hitter into the 7th busted up on a dribbler up the 3rd base line. and inside the parker that wins it? nuts on errors, both pitched great and we were using some rather elite strategy towards the end. without a doubt one the best XBL leauge experiences ive come across. props and thanks for the good game.

oh i remember, that. that was an awesome trade. i really needed that guide and so did you. and a great game was to be had, but i don't think even if we tried we could replicate that game. and about those way outside pitches, i hate the fact that you push in the control stick and it does it.

I'm really sorry about not advancing the schedule and holding you guys up, but I've been swamped lately and haven't even gotten a chance to get on XBL. Anyways, I promise that tomorrow afternoon, the schedule will be advanced.
