Modern Warfare 2 CAG Clan - Wednesday/Friday @ 7PST/10EST

Haven't been all week because I got in a little trouble at school and got the PS3 taken away for this week. But of course this week is vacation here. Whatever lol, I'll be back next week.

And oh yeah, I got my new controller in the mail yesterday. And it was brand new, so I won't be stuck knifing everyone during our game nights. :)
 
Just a reminder and this isn't aimed at anybody in particular. This wasn't an issue but I thought people might have forgotten or may not even know since it may be buried in the middle of the thread. We usually don't noob tube in private matches. It's understood generally by everybody since it tends to bring out not so friendly sentiments. It started back when we were playing against another clan of one of Kefka's friends and their whole team just noob tubed us into the ground and I personally left the game and didn't return until after all the shenanigans stopped. That's why we don't noob tube in privates, we get enough of it in regular games, in private matches it's kinda sad face. The sad part is after we set the rule, the other team barely won us 8 to their 9 when they had to actually fire their guns.

The Favela free-for-all was a little nutty, I got killed 3 times before I got a single kill, but how do you split us up into teams without short changing somebody? That's kinda where we end up, between a rock and hard place. No hard feelings intended to anybody playing with us, we remind, we're not condemning when we say 'no noob tubes.' Call it a house rule I guess, if I could disable them in the match selection options, I would too.

I just want to add in that some of my most favorite private matches are noob tubes, rockets and explosives only matches.

Sometime in the next week I will be sending out a mass message to all you CAGs asking if you plan on getting the map packs. Also asking if you even play the game, since I still have yet to play with over 25+ I added.

All kidding aside, Mad speaks the truth. Maybe for future reference we should just say what rules are prior to matches? I know that rumaru hadn't played in a while and I don't think my friend suess even reads this thread. It'd just help clear things up because I think the last thing anyone wants to do is piss people off.

Alsom, is there any way to do objective games as private matches? if we have 10+ I think splitting our team up for objectives would be fun.

I got a Dualshock. Decided to shell out the extra $10 or so. When I tried the last one I got (that came broken) I liked the weight of it a lot more than the light-as-hell Sixaxis, so that was the main reason why I got it.

And MOH really does sound good now. No explosives in private matches = going to be really good.
 
I was usin the tube at that sub base but only to unlock the shotgun WHICH I used later ^^;

And yes, for private matches, you should be able to define every aspect of the match including which weapons/acc one can use. Limiting/altering kill streak rewards could also make for unique experiances. (air drop a crate at random locations every 2 minutes). Adjust gravity? Maybe I have just played too many rounds of mod'ed Team Fortress.
 
Going to try to get in tonight....got the invite while I ran to the bathroom last night & then it was too late.

Was trying to think of a different mode if we get 10+....what about something like a no-attachment smg / shotgun or pistol / c4 match (or silencer only...definitely no akimbo) and no scoping? Any perk but commando..that puts everyone on even knifing level...and no knife kills from 20 feet away. To get crazier, make it S&D....and make NoKill not use Ninja. :)

5 Coronas and I just broke open a Blue moon, 5 slices of pizza and 2 double bacon cheeseburgers later says it's awn til the break of dawn.

Edit: Not to sound like a complete pig but I had 3 slices for lunch, 2 to soak up 5 beers and 2 white castle double bacon cheese burgers if that helps. If not, oink oink :beer:
 
Mad39er I hope you have a bed pan, or you system set up in your bathroom tonight. I have a feeling you will be making frequent visits.

I have enjoyed playing the last few nights but won't be on until after the wings game tonight. Hopefully see you guys then.
 
So far we ran into our first hacker. For those of you that may run into him, it's Indiana_Re31l I think. He somehow hacked to the point where I was the host with UAV up on him, running right to him, he 360 knifed me right as I rounded a corner. The UAV showed him running away from me, so he turned around, 360 jump knifed me and was talking trash afterwards. I didn't look at his perks but I was using Ninja Pro and there is no way he could have heard me, since the only place I jumped and landed was on the other side of Sub Base opposite where I was killed. He knew I was the host before the match was even set up since he singled me out for talking trash, so he knows full well what he's doing.

Also everybody in our party got dropped except me, so I have a feeling he had something to do with that as well since I'm a very, very stable host for a 6 vs 6 match and I don't think I've ever dropped Kefka while I was hosting.

Would've stayed on for a bit longer last night, but right after I got dropped from the game, a power hiccup occurred due to storms and I thought it was best to come back and fight another day. Might be on in a bit if anyone is around
 
I'll be playing some Hardcore TDM to warm up, I lost a lot of my edge when I moved and I've been playing fairly horrible compared to right before the move. Anybody who wants to party up, hopefully I'll end up hosting since this weekend has been nothing but West Coast hosts and campers.
 
Last night was some of the worst hosts I have ever seen. Though I sure did notice in one match when I was hosting. It can be a crazy advantage. Never realized until I experienced it. Guess I don't suck as bad as I think sometimes. My favorite is when you get knived from 20 ft away before you can even shoot. Also though akimbo shotgun hosts, I guess shoutguns have the range of a rifle nowadays.

Why do you think I always want to host? Hehe. Nevermind that we usually get a kick ass connection out of it, it's stable and rarely lags from what I've seen except on Ground Wars. I also don't think I'm a cheap host unlike some of these scumbags who noob tube, run around commando knifing or akimbo shottying. Infact, my host is so good, most of the time it's fair even for the opposing team since I rarely have any advantage over anybody that has a 4 bar ping to me.
 
I think the PSN took a massive crap on my friends list. I just logged on to see if anybody was on and everybody is missing. I'm gonna have to add people again, meh. On that note, I'll be on Mw2 for a spell.

Yeah....that lovely 3.30 update for nothing. You can a few others were gone off my list for a while...then after I sent you a request, you showed back up. Good QC.

There was some definite host advantage....I had to killcam once to see what was up as I saw at least 5 or 6 bullets of mine hitting a guy as I went prone. Killcam - with him obviously going commando, never showed me prone and being knifed.

I may be out the rest of the week due to work and a few other obligations...got to getup at 430am for a flight and I return back around 1230am tomorrow. Ouch.

I'm not going to be able to be on CAG nights anymore because I work at on both Wednesdays and Fridays but it seems we have no trouble finding a good decent amount of people to play with on any day.

I work varying shifts, so feel free to post if you are jumping on. I practically live on this forum with how often I check here.
 
I can't stand this game anymore. So much freaking bullshit. Probably only going to play when I'm with friends, and even then I'll probably be making funtages and putting our adventures on YouTube (after I get my Dazzle). I'll still be on for the "clan" nights on Wednesday and Friday though. And yes, I'm still getting the map pack.

But I got my first chance to shoot in CoD4 today, and I must say, that it is so much better than Modern Warfare 2. That's probably what I'm going to be playing for a while now, going through a few prestiges thanks to the double XP.

Congrats dude. That's pretty crazy. I'm at 219 right now, but I don't want to finish it, considering how I spent 3 weeks straight knifing only because of my controller. But the Pathfinder title is extremely sick, I want it really bad.

Will be out sometime in early September. There is also a demo planned.
 
After just getting in from my 20 hour adventure and not having slept yet, my bad idea for the day is if we get >9 people on a clan night we need to have a Welcome to Zombieland style match (can you tell what I watched on the plane) and mandatory marathon (rule #1) and you can only knife and shotgun - with the obligatory double tap (rule #2).

Now I need sleep....I was "closer" to you for about 12 hours today NoKill - in Phoenix for a conference..

That idea could work. To make it more even we should standardize the class.

haven't been playing mwf2 much lately but i'll try to get in on the clan nights this week. sorry for ignoring invites. been into borderlands lately but i think i'll get excited again when the maps come out.
 
hey jax, how's the cag community for borderlands? I was thinking of jumping back in and trying to get some of the multiplayer trophies. I think I have a level 21 or 22 Brick at this point. (WHAT!?! If we have to hear about metal of honour, we certainly can have a little Pandora talk.)
