[quote name='SnorE']I need to get my head in the game and start playing smarter...sorry if i frustrate you "experts" when i play with ya..

Just a quick disclaimer, I use the word "you" a lot, it's a general "you" and not directed at anybody in particular.
I do my best not to get upset with you newer guys, I just have that veteran's frustration going on. Our roots are in Demolition and Capture the Flag. Capture was always our way to blow off steam and basically run up anywhere between 7 and 15 flags on the opposing team on a good day. I easily sacrificed my K/D to at least 3k deaths because I pushed the objectives so hard just to win a match and there are stories out there to go with it.
I like having new-ish players around but at the same time I really have to stress my initial belief in playing team games is to get your solo game up. If you can hold your own in Free For All where it's 7 vs 1, you stand a decent chance at surviving a team game where 99% of the people we're pitted up against, because of our(Kefka, Cyrus, Snakelda, myself and other multi-Prestiges) Prestiges ranks, are usually skilled players.
A lot of the time Capture the Flag is the easiest game to teach to a new player, because you have roughly 3 to 4 main routes you can run without freerunning on any given map. If the opposing team is trying to cap the flag you can often find yourself 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 without being gang raped because usually they're runners. If you end up playing Capture the Flag with us, I strongly suggest running the flag or playing mobile defense with a runner class. Once you have a runner class that you like, you can take that class anywhere, in any match and kick some serious ass.
There are also games that I don't really want new players in, like we've been in on a Search and Destroy binge of sorts. Reaction time in S&D is measured in fractions of a second, if you're not able to do Free For All and end up regularly ranked in the top 3, you're not going to last long at all in S&D. If you do, it's dumb luck and I'm not going to lie, I honestly expect that if I'm watching somebody who has no idea how to play S&D that they're going to die in a seriously stupid way. I've done my share of bloopers and I've also got a fair share of redeeming clutches but when you're the last person standing, you better have more than 0 kills to your score to at least give your team some glimmer of hope.
If you think you were on the spot before, any Spawn delayed game like Capture, Sabotage or Search and Destroy usually somebody will be observing you at any given time and chances are it's your whole team, so you have to step up your game. Instantly when I'm the last one standing, I know I've got 5 other people watching me and it SUCKS and I start yell randomly to teammates that can't hear me but are probably yelling at me too. I do my best to put on a show and after the initial few seconds of panic passes, I pull myself together to do what needs to be done.
If you don't know how to play the game, ask or have somebody show you how to support the team. Kefka is phenomenal with the maps, Hito has some awesome defense tactics going on, nobody beats dykenom with a noob tube, Hostile and Syn consistently hit their killstreaks, Oscar is good at pissing off the opposing team simply by existing, Snakelda is basically the lovechild of Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe and Solid Snake from MGS, Fred reaches out and touches people with his javelins, Kaiser is usually spot on with the semtex and it just goes on.
