I hate quick scope bs too, but usually there is another cheese way of payback, so run with commando and knife the cheeser from a mile away, or if you like the distance route, use the explosive grenade launcher. Or just make a running class (marathon, lightweight, commando) and flank the hell out of the other team. Or make a silent class (bling w heartbeat sensor and silencer, stopping power or cold blooded, ninja pro) and just sneak kill everyone on the map.
I agree there are a lot of cheap players out there, but usually you can find a way to out cheap them. Nothing better than to get them all pissed off because you can beat them at their own game.
Quick scopers are kinda rare IMO, I rarely encounter such a breed. Anyway, its not as easy as it looks. To quick scope, the guy has to be like right in the center of the screen, otherwise you just miss. I tried to quickscope a game or two, but I can't do it. I just can't do it. One, I'm bad at it. Two, I can't get myself out of the hardscoping habit. And three, well, again, I'm really bad at it.
P.S. Sneak classes are hard to use sometimes because you are so much weaker then guys with Stopping Power. You really have to get half a clip into the guy before he turns around, and then you have a fighting chance. Otherwise, "flanking" is useless because you get gunned down so much quicker then you can gun them down.
Just when i start to have fun with this game some of the guys that play all the time just kill it.
Autoaim sniper quick scope check, knife me from 10 yards away check, have gay ass helicopters getting kills for you check, shotguns check, noobtubes check, homo ass campers check. Was cod 4 this homo?
Come on, there's a counter to pretty much everything.
Noobtubes (they aren't that rampant, and anyway most the people who use them suck with them). But if you need to take a good tuber on, a good sniper rifle or ability to Longshot people can be effective. 1 in every 500000 tubers can hit good sniper spots and tube upwards. Most can only tube downwards.
Shotguns, come on everyone knows range is the shotgun killer here. Granted sometimes you just can't avoid being in shotgun range, but the majority of the time you can avoid getting tagged by a shotgun at any reasonable range. Plus, most people don't even use shotguns, and the most popular one I see is the AA-12 or Striker, both of which have terrible range.
Helicopters...just use Cold Blooded or common sense (stay indoors!?). Not that bad really.
And campers...just blow their entire spot up. Campers only camp in one spot until they die, and they rarely move from there. Use a Marathon/Lightweight/Commando (or Ninja if they have HBS) combination to avoid the claymores they probably don't even have and stab them, or flash them and take them out. BTW, why do people complain about campers when they're so easy to take out most of the time, barring a couple select spots on a couple select maps.
P.S. Also, does the military run and gun? Nope...they camp. They sit in a bush for three days without moving waiting for something

You think military deaths are high now, imagine if they were running around into buildings with Akimbo Magnums.
I just got back into CoD4 last weekend and it is way less frustrating. I think I went positive 9 out of 10 matches, where as I rarely go positive in MW2. I think it's mostly due to the weaker killstreaks. But I don't know, it might just be me.
I felt that CoD4 was easier for some reason then MW2. You could be right about the killstreaks, because most people didn't get the 7-kill helicopter and if they did it wasn't that strong.
