Modern Warfare 2 CAG Clan - Wednesday/Friday @ 7PST/10EST

Was at Six Flags yesterday, so I didn't get home until like 11, so that's why I wasn't there last night. I must say though, after like 2 AM, EVERYONE CAMPS. Had so much trouble getting one freaking good game in because I kept getting camped so much worse than before.

Hmmm....good question.....if I was in that position and saw you got mowed down in anything other than HC, I'd probably try to grab it so the other team did not. I'm speaking strictly w/o mics. Mics change everything.

Generally, if I see someone's waiting for their package I let them have it. However, if I see no one is near it (and it's something good like harrier or better) I'll look to see if anyone is going toward it. If not, I think it's fair game.

Oh and yes you get the crate within like a second whereas if the crate isn't yours it takes prolly 3-4 seconds.

I typically have a mic on and announce I'm stealing the crate. If it's in danger of being stolen by the enemy I'll steal it without warning, if the owner got himself pwnt because he was a tool and something luscious drops infront of me, I'll steal it. Basically, you give the owner the benefit of the doubt when they first drop, if they screw that up, it's open game as far as I'm concerned. I'll tell people to pick up my crates when I get killed and respawned far and away.
 
Meh, forced with choosing between the Best Buy bundle with Uncharted 2, the Gamestop one that has Infamous and LBP:GOTY but I already have Infamous and possibly there may be a God of War 3 bundle out there. If I trade Infamous back I can get like 10 bucks back in credit and use the rest towards a PSN card for the new map packs. If and only if they're 2100 models... blah.
 
Almost done with Yakuza 3. Then off it goes to gazelle.

Seems that without Mad and Nokill, it is harder to pull a group together. I will keep sending invites to people so if I dont have you on my friends list, add me: kaiser_von_metz so you can get spammed by invites too, haha. Seemed like friday night game night consisted of 4 of us doing fairly ok, but we missed the rest of "youse guys" so lets get pumped for tonight MONDAY BFGN!
 
Sorry for missing Friday...was busy for a while....passed out...then got on and everyone was gone. I *should* be there this Friday, but it is wifey's birthday, so it may be later than usual.

Wed is 50/50....although I am clear for it if not playing softball. That and the weather gods need to cooperate...they are calling for a bunch of t-storms here this week.
 
Finally traded in Bad Company 2. So glad that piece of shit is gone. If only I could have gotten those last 2 trophies. Anyway, I should be on MW2 more now :)

this a good headset? my crappy motorola BT just is getting annoying i can barely hear people and then when i turn it up it echos the peoples voices back to the mic...also if there is something similar but cheaper i would def be intrested...not sure how long it will be till i get a better headset but its in progress

I'll try and be on a bit more but the 14+hr days at work don't leave time. Tues, Fri, and Sat. are currently the only times I will be on. Any other day and it would be in the early afternoon.

I used the P21 for a few months and upgraded to the PX21. Me and a couple of friends use them and love them. I haven't had any problems but I've heard that sometimes the chat is messed up, maybe the sound quality. For myself it has been great.
 
I just rotate my two Warhawk jabra headsets, one that is more comfortable for me to wear is my other jabra with a gel thingy for the ear and I can wear that all day. I just have to find the charger for it now since it doesn't use the same as the other two/three jabras I have. I haven't heard too many complaints about sound quality but the mic is particularly sensitive. You can hear me talk to myself when I'm drunk, for instance.

I don't think the mics have anything to do with that last sentence. It has enough merit to stand all by itself. :beer:

Now, if you wanted to say that alcohol helps your gameplay...enough of us have seen you thrash the other team while full of tequila flavored beverages.

I'm clamoring for some action...not sure if it will be tonight or tomorrow night though. Miss the group & everyone killing the other team before NK can get his nuke in TDM....the good 'old days.

BTW - you don't notice any of that middle school WOW drama here. We just want to kill things online and are not too picky on who the pray is. I'll even turn on EAD and let people steal it....may be every 3rd game before I get one to drop, but you can have it if we play. :) See, no drama there.
 
What's up with auto aim assist and stopping power. Too many homos using grenade lauchers too. They give those turds way too many grenades to launch, you should have to scavenge off dead bodies for them like in Resistance 2. This game could have been so good but it turned out to be average. I'm never buying anything that anyone from the former infinity ward has anything to do with. Seriously auto aim assist on every gun in a first person shooter? Thats pretty cool.

Dude, I read this message originally on an iPad in Best Buy, I tried so hard not to fall over laughing. I'm digging the iPad though but that thing is overpriced for a 64 gig one, I could pick up like 3 netbooks and still come out ahead.

I may end up with a netbook before I end up with a PS3 2100, go figure.

Apparently the 2100 models are the 120 systems so far. I'm just going to go into a corner and cry. Unless Nowlive can find me one in the 250, I don't think I have a shot of getting one in New York/Jersey any time soon. I seriously doubt that there is anything out there for him to even hunt for if I were to ask him.
 
Fred - saw you online when I started up the PS3...had to "put down" a 3 year old for the night...when I came back you were off. :(

Mad - I'll have to go check out a few spots...although shouldn't Amazon, WorstBuy or GS have them in stock before I get out there?

In theory yes, in practice, I doubt it. The bundles are available, they are all just 2000 model slims, I was looking around and somebody else got the Uncharted 2 bundle form Best Buy which was a 2000 model. Amazon I don't want to risk having to return stuff to because it'd be kinda dumb to just buy and find out.

If in your travels, you spot a model 2100 250, you'll see it way before I do. The retailers around here held onto their model 2000s just for Fathers Day and nobody really has confirmed getting one in any size but the 120. I'm guessing they were shipped Not For Sale versions of the bundled games to be packaged and slapped a sticker on the box.

Now, it could just be that my wife's troubleshooting skills are "awesome"....but Cox could not ping my cable modem. I have some troubleshooting to do once I get home....all I know is she said no lights are flashing.

Please, shoot me if you see me online tonight. And WTF is up with Sony messing with our game night? Don't they know they should do maintenance in the middle of the night?

Mad - actually, is there a 2100 model in the 250GB being made? I have not had a need to look, but in my 3 minutes of searching have only found references to the 2100 model being made in 120GB. Actually, I'd say save the $50 and order a 320-500GB from somewhere like Newegg...it is easy to do. ooh, i was just thinking (again) about updating my HD. do you have experience with this one? how easy was the process? lots of re-downloading?
 
PlayStation Network will undergo maintenance tomorrow, June 9th.

Easy peasy...just be careful removing the screws the first time. Re-downloading...yes....though it depends on what you do. If you can format an USB drive FAT32, you can backup your entire HD....takes a while, but I think almost everything stays...though the more stuff you keep on there the longer it takes. I did it on my slim out of the box....nothing to re-download there. A quick format and I was off.....for Mad though, that shouldn't matter since he is buying new.

Oh, and I fixed my Internet issue...and there really was an issue.

Yeah, I'm getting that feeling but true to the CAG in me, I at least want a game with it, spending 70 or so extra puts me 20 over the initial investment without a game to show for it. I'm more than likely just being a pain in the ass about it but I was coming to that realization as well that they just built 120s since possibly the 250s weren't selling fast enough.

Thankfully I have my XBox and my PSP to hold me over, the XBox library is small(3 games) and the PSP is a lil better with several RPGs I haven't even really scratched the surface on. Gonna grab my cousins COD4 for Xbox when I see him because I need some kind of action, RPGs make me sleepy for some reason. I pass out like nothing when I play them, which kinda keeps me from finishing them.

Edit: Price cut rumors seem to be popping up, I may just be better off waiting then.

That is so ducking gay. You missed raping the 10th level prestige hacks last night in CTF. I'll just throw this out to show how I know they were hacks - I forgot to change my kill streak from the last time we played (hardcore)...so I was set with UAV, Predator, Attack Heli. I popped within the first 3 minutes....then I was ready to pop again when I forgot to claymore the entryway and no one watched my back. :) What annoyed me was that combined my 2 attack heli's only got 1 kill.

I think overall we only lost the last domination match (Storm) while I was playing. Kaiser was doing the killing....at least a lot of it. We even managed to come back and beat the tubers in Terminal...and they had a 30 point lead on us early on.

Last night was all fun except for the one domination match on storm against a 6 man team who spawn camped us. Not only were they camping us, but they were noob toobing too. I just wish we could have played them again and beat the crap out of them.
