Well being there is a Portman topless and a King of Jew thread, I figured I would post this.

"A priority for me is definitely that I'd like to raise my kids Jewish, but the ultimate thing is to have someone who is a good person and who is a partner... I get much more Jewish in Israel."

But her father is still very much in touch with his roots - and he loves to make jokes at the expense of her gentile boyfriends. She adds, "He always makes this stupid joke with my new boyfriend, who is not Jewish. He says, 'It's just a simple operation.'"

So you are simply discrediting every Suicide terrorist bomber that attacks Israel because Palestine has more non-combatant deaths? You're kidding right? Personally I think (and know having lived there) that if Israel did not have such an offensive stance that it would be much higher. I have had friends die on buses and because Palestinians have had more casualities makes them right? How would you like it if you were under the threat of a bomb exploding at any given moment and especially on a train/bus that you went on to get to work? Again, you are saying that wishing for the destruction of a state should be allowed? And yes the Palestine/Israel conflict (it's not a war) is pretty crappy, but is blowing yourself off and causing/wishing death and destruction better? Defending yourself is in no way wrong in my book

What they do is not a political stance, not an expression of faith, etc. There are many ways to show your disagreement with something that doesn't involve you blowing yourself up. Have you not of heard of Martin Luther King Jr. or Gandhi? Perhaps something along the line of civil disobedience?

Blowing yourself up at a family's bar mitzvah celebration or at a passover dinner party, i don't even know how to say, but there is no way to defend such a thing as being right.

It's a matrilineal system, so her kids end up Jews whether their baby-daddy is or not. They're England vs. Palestine's Ireland and they'd do well to study how that conflict was resolved in the end. They need to quit taking pages from the U.S.'s strategy book, because we have a history of failure when it comes to suppressing guerillas. This arguing over Israel v. Palestine is stupid. Both are in the wrong and people that can't see that have blinders on to the situation. Besides, when the entire free world can't settle the conflict what makes anybody think a bunch of nerds on a gaming site are going to fair any better?
