I don't know, there really wasn't anything to imply ubyybj-arff except increased power. Not too convincing.

Look at his expression in both cases. He gets a crazed look on his face in both situations. And there's a definite [to me anyway] change in personality when he starts cutting on Renji.

I really think it has something to do with















[color=42424]mother and father, because if you read the manga you know about his father and also both of his sisters have similar powers that have not been awaken yet. Thats why I think its more genetic than anything else. In addition they mention about him being a pureblood or perfect hybrid or some crap like that which seems because of his parents[/color]

The Menos occassion only happens in the anime, so that can possibly stand as non cannon. In the manga, I cite v07, ch55, starting on page 56. The look on his face in panel 3 (from the right) seems like a totally different persona to me.

True, but it's just that one frame. After that he seems to be pretty much normal ...

I don't know. I think he looks kind of evil in a few more frames than just the one. Plus, the situation is off, too. He's handily winning at that point, but still happy about it. It seems too malicious for him, and out of character, to me. I can't think of another event where he's happy about fighting someone weaker than him, in fact.

Yeah, but how often has he fought someone weak? It seemed more like he was just pleasantly suprised that he was suddenly winning so easily.

Yeah, I'm a bit strung out from the night's events. Girl I was with last night just left right now for home (wherever that is; don't know, don't care :lol: ). Good night overall but I'm couldn't sleep that much both from sex and a bout of alcohol induced vomitting (both mine and my date for the night on 2 separate occasions :puke: ). Just havin' a morning coffee whilst I reconstruct the vague events of last night.

Didn't happen at the same time. :roll::lol: We had sex, slept for a bit and this morning, I woke to the sounds of puking. As I went to see what my female companion for the evening did, I found her passed out with her head on the toilet. I took a wet rag and cleaned her up. Unfortunately, as I still had a shit-ton of alcohol myself, the stench of puke was too overwhelming before I set off on my own journey to worship the porcelain god. The girl was lucky that I carried her to the bed before I puked myself or she'd end up with a face full of puke. :lol:

edit: This series sure moves slowly. And I wish the groups subbing it would put it in a format with easy brightness adjustment. Xvid doesn't like it's settings fiddled with, apparently, and this is dark as hell.

It slipped my mind yesterday, but I can actually think of one similar occassion where he was happy to be overpowering someone, and that was jura gur ubyybj gbbx bire naq ur jnf orngvat Olnxhln. This encoding thing is working great. :D I've got 10 eps. of Beck encoded ready for burning, I just need a few more to fill out the dvd. I can't for this to get up and running. Though I'm wondering what to use as the menu music for the second dvd of eps. I was thinking the ending theme or maybe Beat Crusaders singing Moon on the Water or some other song from the soundtrack.
 
Anybody got any info on Kakurenbo that's appearing on AS next week? Is it good/bad? What's it about? It's seems to be airing for Halloween and seems to have an interesting animation style.
 
From what I've heard, the story and actual movie itself of Kakurenbo is horrid, but the animation style is supposed to be amazingly good. I'm almost willing to try watching it next weekend for the sole purpose of the animation.
 
Anyone have a pick for concise Naruto manga summaries? I started reading it a while back, got fed up probably a little after tha half-way mark and deleted the remaining chapters I got in a torrent. I'm giving it another try and don't want to download them all again, but I can't recall what chapter I left off on. So I need to quickly scan the summaries to see where it was.
