Monster Hunter Tri

Yeah that Volt Axe... I just need 1 more tail and I can upgrade it (after I find some bugs of course...).

HR21 now. I don't think we'll be getting the Custom Weapon quests for at least a couple weeks from now, since they'll most likely be upper-rank quests.

I think most people are in the general area of HR15-HR30 right now. Just a guess though.

Well that pisses me off. I was doing the goldenfish hunt quest, and after forever, I finally got the 2nd small goldenfish. Low on time, I start running toward the gates, and I'm 5 feet away from making my delivery and it says I fail from running out of time.

fuck.

I always did hate the goldenfish. Even in the 2nd one for PSP. >_>
 
Actually, wouldn't mind getting a few more heads, since I may want to upgrade it later on. Wait a second... it costs 49000Z to upgrade it?!?!

Wow... I definitely need to go sell some of my material I'm not going to use anymore. Like Jaggi parts, Qurupeco parts, that's probably it.

EDIT: Yeah I hate fishing for specific fish... it's just way to much work for really nothing. :/

Also, I feel like doing an all-night Monster Hunter Tri session. Even though there is school tomorrow I don't care. I'll just sleep for an hour on the bus. Don't think it'll be too hard, since I woke up at 11 today.

Yeah, unfortunately we can't come anywhere near killing the Qurupeco yet. It took me 20-30 minutes to do it offline this morning and I'm guessing if we hadn't died we'd need a good hour-plus online at the moment. I'll figure him out one of these days.

Heading out to try to capture him now, should be exciting. I was able to trap him pretty easily for the first subquest, but doing so while he's near-death will be another matter.
 
I'll definitely help with Qurupeco, I'm a "pro" at killing him. Think I killed him 15 times or so. I'll need to check my hunter notes.

And fuck you Jaggi, why would you run into a trap that the Qurupeco decided to sidestep? At least I somehow broke his flints so I could get something out of an otherwise wasted half hour.

Thankfully no. Only Jaggis offline, and Jaggi or Rhenoplos online.

Edit: Remind me never to talk about again. Hello Rathian! Luckily he didn't tend to stay in one place very long, I just waited for him to leave. And hooray, no Great Jaggis to deal with that time, easy trappings!

No prob - in that case I'll see if I can't tackle the Royal Ludroth and finish off my 3* offline.

If I have a chance I'll probably look to get back online around 10 EST.
 
The Quru annoyed the shit out of me, but part of the reason was because I was trying to kill it with a GS. Killed it my first try with a SnS but it took a good half hour and 8 potions.
 
Lol. :D You know if you want a good Defense weapon, get the Lance. I'm going to pick it up after I can make the Agnaktor one. Spiraled Heat I think it's called.

EDIT: Actually... sorry to put you off again, but could we play around 10:30PM EST? Lol...

We may have to try to set something up tomorrow. I played too long last night (till 3am :p) so I'm going to call it an earlier night tonight.

Tried out the Royal Ludroth fight, and he doesn't seem too bad, but I can't fight for anything in the water, so I don't know how I'll finish him in 50 minutes.
 
Thanks. I'm sitting at the bar waiting for you guys to finish your current quest. I have about three more 1 star quests left to do, so if you guys want to do some 2 star stuff that's fine with me.

Though I would like to do that Jaggi event if you don't mind.
 
Was some fun hunts tonight Mad D and Daisy. Especially the barroth ones which we got finally. Maxed on HR though until i hunt Lagia online x.x
 
Yeah we did one more Barroth quest after you left, Nirran. We did pretty well since we picked up on its attack patterns.

Janet we'll level you up some more next time. That was my friend Josh, you could add him next time if you want. I've know him for about 16 years, since elementary school.

You have to be level 9 to move on to the next set of quest. First you have to kill the Barroth... again. We'll help.
 
Thank you Lorddraco07, Mad D and Josh for all the help. That Barroth quest was fun/terrifying. I still feel like my attacks barely do anything compared to offline mode.
 
I'm going to tell you guys right now, when you guys can do the HR18+ quests... Uragaan is one scary mofo. When me and 3 other guys were fighting him, he killed 3 of us in one attack... It was scary, yet funny.

I didn't do my all-nighter but I'll be playing MH3 later on today after school hopefully.
 
Hello everyone. I've had Monster Hunter at launch and now I'm finally starting to get into the multiplayer.

I'm about to hit HR9 but I have to do the Barroth quest (which I see alot of people are currently doing. >_< ) Too bad when I try to start that quest with random people no one joins it.

But if anyone is up for anything HR9 and lower, I'd be happy to help.

I added my info to the CAG MH list.
 
hey Droenix will you be on tonight? Need to get the urgent Lagia quest done (need 3 horns to finish that armor as well :bomb: ) and not sure if anyone else is up that high. maybe we can add a section for HR on the list as well so we know where everyone stands.

We need to try and get 2 other people though.. I like having a full group when fighting big bosses like those.

On the one hand it's cool that there is so much crap to unlock after the first round with a bunch of monsters, but on the other hand it's a pain in the ass that I can't get a Fire element SnS until god knows when and it would be really useful for the Royal Ludroth.

I foolishly thought that the Peco SnS would have Fire, but no, not until the upgrade which requires something from Gigginox.
 
I rage at this game way to much, lol. When I lose I start to get mad at people around me, >.> That's mostly on Single Player though.

Honestly, I'm starting to find the Great Sword to have a lot of limitations compared to other weapons. It is indeed slow and can only be truly utilized when the monster is standing still or doesn't move that often.

I was about to ask if you guys have been using my communication idea (being in a XBL party while you play) but it looks like a few of you guys don't have XBL gold :(
 
Are Parties a Gold only feature? I can get on in about an hour. If anyone wants to use an XBL party, just let me know.
 
Took out Qurupeco, Barroth (someone else's urgent), and Royal Ludroth online tonight. Tomorrow I'll take care of the monster gut collection and then see about getting help for my own Barroth by the end of the week.
 
I'm up to a Quest offline where I have 50 minutes to hunt a Barroth and a Great Jaggi. I really need to get some Lagi carves so I can upgrade my Switch Axe.

What an unproductive night lol. Best part is i got my urgent finished and finished my Lagia armor. Worst part. The 4 wins to 20 loses on Los. Always the same people standing in front of the roar leading to the fireball of death. Way too much work before I finish that set of armor (and decorations) and the weapons I want from Los.
 
I finally got this game and its awesome, finished up the 1 star quests today. Starting a bit of 2 star quests. I'm down to play online as well, please add me :) I'm still running around naked, what kind of started armor do you guys suggest? I can probably skip a few because the quests are pretty easy to do atm without armor, just trying to rack up gold and see if new armors show up at shop (?)

Is there a compilation list of people's ID?

I got to HR15 and completed my Barroth Armor, so it wasn't all bad. It could've been better, though.
 
I played with LS a lot and oh my.... GOD!!! It's one amazing weapon, it's just so fast and can do a ton of damage in a short amount of time.

Nirran that sucks.... When I played for that 1 or 2 hunts we were successful :p You just need to find better people to play with. No offense to them. The team we had for those 2 runs was pretty good I thought. Just that capturing mission is really annoying. I do not like fighting Lagia on the Flooded Forest.

In other news: New Event quests today? Tried joining a "Event Quest ho!" server, and they posted up Jump Four Jaggi! So, I was kind of dissapointed that I didn't see any new ones. And now I'm off to school!
