So I take it you build your own motherboard, graphics card, power supply, RAM sticks, DVD drive, connector cords and wrote your own operating system then?
No, on everything but the OS. (Though, with reusable code, I really can't say I've programmed an OS completely by myself)
What I mean by that is if something goes wrong with those components, they'd need replacement anyway. But if you built your machine yourself, you'd realize if a connector was faulty, or if a part was malfunctioning, and the part would go right back... you wouldn't have many consistant issues, save those of your own creation... like clogging a fan from cigarette ash or the like.
