MS Live.com Search Cashback program - 25% Cashback @ eBay

fwacce

CAGiversary!
Already on every other board. Should be here as well.

just noticed this while doing a search on live.com for the wii... basically eBay is giving 35% off pretty much anything on their site (only Buy It Now w/ PayPal items) through a Microsoft CashBack program. this is huge... you can get up to $250 back. i just bought a roomba and got $100 off.

here's where i found the 35% off: http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=nintendo+wii&form=QBRE ... not sure if they have higher % off in other places?

here are the terms and conditions on eBay's site: http://pages.ebay.com/cashbackoffer/terms.html
looks like you can do this up to 3 times.
Would be a great use on a PS3 with some games. You can get up to $750 or so to get the maximum $250 back.

I searched using live.com and its currently giving me 20% off.

EDIT: Purchased GRID for the X360...free ship code didn't work...it said it was attached to another paypal address.

Wii brought 20% for me. "Nintendo DS lite" brought 25%. Coupled with my 10% off coupon expiring today I got the wife a red/black NDS for $90 when all is said and done.

So much for self control...
I can confirm: 25% is back. Although, for me, it worked with "Xbox 360" and "Wii", not PSP. PSP brought up 20%
I just got a Intel E7200 for $106.48 shipped (once my cashback comes in). Really wish i could use this one more time to get a motherboard :(
I thought you could use it 3 times.
I assume the poster was referring to the additional 10% off coupon from eBay which is valid through June 30th (for one time use, apparently)
I think you can use the free shipping code 3 times, however, I cant confirm since its not valid on my account =/
Yes, I used mine 3 times. Many sellers were able to accommodate by changing the invoice after the end of auction to make it $10.
Officially dead?
It's definatly dead for now. I'd hold off for another 12-24 hours before moving it to the graveyard or calling it "official." This thing has been famous for changing percentages so it makes me wonder if this is a similar temporary change.

Well the 25% made me bite, bought a brand new set of 18" wheels and tires for $799 and will get $200 back. Thats a smokin deal right there.

All my purchases was for my car

Viper 5900 (35%)
Bypass module (20%)
Spare Remote (20%) - might not work..never got email and eBay sent multiple times
Radar Detector (20%)
LED Taillights (25%)

Might get Best Buy gift card to help pay for installation

I thought you could only use cashback 3 times?
It's only 10% now, damn I was going to bite on the 25% and go with the 10% coupon if possible. Think it'll go back up again?
The 10% ebay coupon expired on 6/30. Unless there is a new one.
yeah, there's a limit, plus I thought auto parts were not discounted in this offer.
It didn't work for the 35% on eBay motors, but all the rest worked, i actually bought a set of 18" wheels and tires on Monday with 25% cash back on $799 so ill get $200 back.:bouncy: No if only i couldve used the 35%

Yeah just realized the whole JUNE being part of the code, but is it going to just pan out a 10%, because i was holding out for some video cards I wanted, but when it was supposedly 25, it went down to 10.

So its down to 10 now? Wow. Seems like Microsoft is just going in spurts and surges. When it loses steam they up the payback to get attention. Then they drop it low and it falters off, and they up it again.

BTW, didn't know where to put this post, but wondering if its possible to make a new eBay account to get more cashbacks. I have another address I'm at half the time anyway, but I guess I would have to make a new paypal account too right?

I just wanna do this for more cashbacks, some of the copoun codes, and also maybe use some of the new members promo codes out there to get stuff. There's a lot of new member promotions, if anyone knows any particular ones that are good for first time sign ups, it would be greatly appreciated.

What has been the average interval when the cashback % changes? Every 48 hours or so? Hopefully it'll go up again soon.

I think every 24 hours or so.

can somebody tell me what to do... i know is aw back in the thread a solution for this, but it's soo much to go through.

I have the "you've got cash back" e-mail, but when i click on the link, it's just not loading up the website. I even tried going to live.com/cashback (or whatever the site is), and not even that loads up. Used firefox and internet explorer, same thing.

Thanks in advance for any help.

its down about 90% of the time since this all started, i am having the same issue as im sure many others are as well, i am just waiting for it to come back up, but then again i think its done on purpose so a percentage of people don't claim their cashback.

hmmm... is that so... but it's microsoft... would they do such a thing?? Google gives away soo much on their checkout system, hassle free... hmmm

Anybody else thinks that the big M is pulling a little one? :nottalking:

Ryan, try this. I posted it back on page 18 and it has since gotten squished.
If you're a TWC/RR customer and you're unable to access the Get Cash Back button in My Message to create your account, do this:

1) Goto http://ww23.rr.com/prefs.php (or whatever redirection service is for your area). You can also find this out by typing tracert cashbackaccount.search.live.com on a cmd box and use the IP addresss of the last server hit.
2) Select disable redirection (this is the first option - web address redirection service).
Even if you don't subscribe to TWC/RR, then see if you can still find a way to get to a page similar to this.

Oh brother.

Trust me. No internet company (especially Microsoft trying to compete with Google) stages downtime on purpose just to screw you out of a few bucks. There are much bigger stakes here.

After logging back into my account it says I have zero cashback earned when I should have earned around $90. Is this probably because the servers are down over the holiday weekend?
Still 10% ... anyone know if that $250 max is on ALL your cashpack purchases, or just each one?
It's a cummulative $250.

Lets say you earn $240 cashback on your first purchase, and then earn another $10 on the second purchase. This means that your third and final purchase is forefited.

"up to a maximum of $250.00 per Online Session"

it is $250 PER session (up to 3 session)

holly molly, this worked for me. I do have time warner/rr, though i pay through aol... can you explain how this worked, and should I worry about switching it back to the default settings after i got my fix? thanks a lot man, you saved a helpless person. You did your good deed for the day.

BTW, I bought a slim ps2 with balck, guitar hero 1 and 2 with a guitar + 1 war game, multitap, 2 memory cards and 2 original dualshocks and a wireless guitar for a grand total of $70 after the discount ($20)... if you ask me, I think that that's a hell of a deal. cheers.

You're right, sorry. I knew that but don't know what I was thinking when I posted my previous statement. Must have had one too many celebrating last night.

This info is correct, $250 per session, up to 3.

Sorry, I have no clue what it does to make the page suddenly work. I just had the same problem as you and was trying to find something to fix it. No one else was having the problem here so I went to slickdeals and looked at their user wiki under the OP of every post (which, by the way, we really need something similar on this board to eliminate a majority of the repeated questions we get in threads). There was A LOT of info, and then I saw it and tried it. And in about 10 minutes, it worked!
