I just bought a Gamecube! So far CAG members have not steered me in the wrong direction so I'm relying on you all once again. What are some games that you'd consider "Must Have" for every Gamecube owner? Feel free to list more than one game.

Metroid Series, Pikmin, Tales of Symphonia, Ikaruga, Zelda, Eternal Darkness, any of the Mario games, RE4(If you own a gamecube you must get this), Viewtiful Joe, Skies of Arcedia...and many other games which I can't think of right now.

single player:

Metroid Prime (and 2)
Zelda: Wind Waker
Resident Evil 4
Super Mario Sunshine
Pikmin 2 (first is good too)
F-Zero GX
Animal Crossing (ONLY IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE ELSE THAT HAS A COPY OR TO PLAY WITH)
... and I would personally recommend Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat for a great pick-up-and-play game

multiplayer:

Mario Power Tennis
Mario Party 6
Wario Ware
Zelda: Four Swords (ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE GBAs)
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Donkey Konga (honestly, this is the game everybody---girls and guys, gamers and non-gamers alike---wants to play when they come over)

Enjoy!

That's just a small list out of the favorites in my collection (and a few I still need to find). Pretty comprehensive, but gives you a better selection to choose from (everyone doesn't like the exact same things). There are also some awesome AAA titles coming up this year that are as good or better than many I listed. Most games I listed are Exclusives, but not all. But I tend to buy for the GCN when they are multi-platform games.

Also, good imports would be Doshin the Giant, Nintendo Puzzle Collection and Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3.

Apparently, you've been quite fortunate so far because with the ever-growing 20,000+ membership have come quite a few crackpots. :D

With that said, you're mainly looking at the Nintendo brand exclusives so far. If you're looking for family-friendly titles, anything with "Mario" in the title is probably worth owning for GCN.

If you're looking for something more mature, you might try REmake, MGS: Twin Snakes, Eternal Darkness, etc. Several others have already mentioned the decent RPGs (Tales of Symphonia, Skies of Arcadia: Legends, Baten Kaitos, etc.).

Unfortunately, most of the once-exclusive third party titles have gone multi-console (Viewtiful Joe, RE4, Monkey Ball series), so you might just want to check around your local game shops for any remaining exclusives that interest you.
I'll just name some that hasn't been said yet.

Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2.
Alien Hominid
Beach Spikers (I'm a huge volleyball fan :))
Umm... I named two out of those three...

I named over fifty games. About 70% were third party. And I named all of those you named.

Just don't pick up Paper Mario TTYD ...its a little too kid friendly beyond the point that its not even fun.

Skies Of Arcadia, Alien Hominid and the Viewtiful Joes are the must haves, there are plenty of other goodies but those are the must-haves.

EDIT: I forgot Wind Waker...another must-have

Good for you. Here, have a cookie! :D

Here are a few games that you should definitely buy.

Tales of Symphonia - nice RPG, cel-shaded...
Super Smash Brothers Melee - great for multiplayer, the regular mode is sort of fun
Animal Crossing - awesome RPG, like the Sims but without the people shitting themselves
Mega Man Collection - tons of games, they are all awesome, except 7 + 8
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker - one of the best games ever made, then again I love all Zelda games
Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door - excellent game, crazy antics, very entertaining
