Compare and Contrast Essay
The video gaming industry is growing every day. Weather it is making software for cell phones or creating the newest generation of console, big corporations like Sony Computer Entertainment and Microsoft create bigger and better things every day. I believe that Sony’s Playstation 3 is a better buy than Microsoft’s XBOX 360. The Playstation 3 offers Blueray technology, free online play, and a forty gigabyte (40g) hard drive.
When a consumer purchases a Playstation 3, they receive Blueray technology right out of the box. Blueray technology is the next generation of DVD’s. It has the ability to store 50g and present a crystal clear picture in 720P and 1080I resolutions. Whereas the XBOX 360 only comes with a DVD drive and an optional HDDVD drive which is an extra one hundred dollars.
When a Playstation 3 owner decides to play games online, they can use every service Sony offers, free of charge. On the other hand, Microsoft XBOX 360 owners are charged sixty dollars per a year. Also, XBOX 360 online service or better known as XBOX Live, has three different levels: Gold Silver, and Regular. Gold is the highest; Silver has half the features as Gold, and Regular is a four day trial.
Storage space is becoming more important in the video gaming market. The Playstation 3 offers a 40g hard drive, which is double the space that the XBOX 360 has. The hard drive is used to store movies, music, game saves, and game demos.
In Conclusion, the Playstation 3 offers the best video gaming experience and multimedia system on the market. It has more features than the XBOX 360, and it has shown that it is all about the consumers.

i know that most of this in incorrect .... but this is what my teacher told me to do..... hopefully people enjoyed reading this

I imagine you are very young, about 6th 7th grade. That essay is terrible, it's more of a list in paragraph form. Since you are probably an underaged user, I suggest you leave before CAGers rip you apart.

The video gaming industry is growing every day. I believe that Sony’s Playstation 3 is a better buy than Microsoft’s XBOX 360. The Playstation 3 offers Bluray technology, free online play, and a line of hard drives ranging from 40 to 80 gigabytes (GB).

When a consumer purchases a Playstation 3, they receive Bluray technology right out of the box. Bluray is the next generation of DVD. It has the ability to store 50GB and present a crystal clear picture in 720p and 1080i resolutions. The XBOX 360 only comes with a DVD drive and an optional HDDVD drive which can be purchased for an additional 100 dollars.

When a Playstation 3 owner decides to play games online, they can use every service Sony offers, free of charge. On the other hand, XBOX 360 owners are charged 60 dollars per year. Also, XBOX 360 online service (better known as XBOX Live) has three different levels: Gold Silver, and Regular. Gold is the highest, Silver has half the features of Gold, and Regular is a four day trial.

Storage space is becoming more important in the video gaming market. The Playstation 3 offers a minimum 40GB hard drive, which is double that of the XBOX 360. The hard drive is used to store movies, music, game saves, and game demos.

In conclusion, the Playstation 3 offers the best video gaming experience and is the best multimedia system on the market. It has more features than the XBOX 360, and it has shown that it is all about the consumers.
Fixed.

Thanks for the break from my math homework! I didn't check any of the facts really, just took a look at the spelling and grammar.

Blu-Ray

Blueray technology

Blu-Ray Technology

It has the ability to store 50g and present a crystal clear picture in 720P and 1080I resolutions.

and 1080p

Whereas the XBOX 360 only comes with a DVD drive and an optional HDDVD drive which is an extra one hundred dollars.

It was actually $180 or so, now down to $49.99, but it can also "present a crystal clear picture in 720P and 1080I (and 1080P)".

Regular? What the hell is regular? It's just silver and gold. And it's $50 a year, not $60. That breaks down to a little over $4 a month, a price i'll gladly pay for a broadband only network. The PS Network is laggy and the downloads, more often than not, are extremely slow.

Storage space is becoming more important in the video gaming market. The Playstation 3 offers a 40g hard drive, which is double the space that the XBOX 360 has. The hard drive is used to store movies, music, game saves, and game demos.

Okay, so you chose to write about the 40gb model. What about the 20gb, 60gb and 80gb? And what about the "optional" 120gb HD that Microsoft offers?

In Conclusion, the Playstation 3 offers the best video gaming experience and multimedia system on the market. It has more features than the XBOX 360, and it has shown that it is all about the consumers.

More features? You touched on Blu-Ray and online service. I don't see how "online service" is a feature for the PS3 when both systems have them, same way with HD space.

You didn't touch on six axis/motion control, the compatibility with the PSP, the backwards compatibility (or lack thereof), etc.

You're definitely not in an honors/AP/IB class. Lengthwise that would only qualify for a short answer question and a good teacher would have you analyzing literature (such as finding character foils in Shakespeare plays) instead of videogames.

Edit: Good luck in college with that kind of writing

trying to create new words? and if you didn't care, you wouldn't respond in any way to anyone's specific comments

you = failure

Okay guys, time to hold off. He came here for constructive criticism, not to be beaten down. We've all made similar mistakes in the past.

God damn. I'm only a year older than this guy. Was... was I like this last year?

If you want to do the whole "I actually don't care" thing, you should know that it's a lot more believable when you don't post in the first place.

EDIT: Not trying to continue the beat-down referred to above. Just sayin'.
ESL, huh?
Seriously, I almost crapped myself laughing when I read that K.

It's fascinating to see how widely varied the degrees of grade inflation are and the level of expectations that exist in schools today.

Your essay would have earned me rewrite, if lucky, had I turned that in at my old H.S. Alma mater as a Junior.

This is not meant as a negative comment on you by any means, but instead as an indictment of your school, and their standards of curriculum.

What... the... fuck... in 9th grade I had to do multiple-page stuff, and extra credit assignments had to be at least one full page. Plus we'd get graded down on poor spelling/grammar. This is sad. I mean, I know I'm far from perfect on this stuff.. but wow. Just wow. I truly fear what will happen to the generation after this guys. If these ones turned out this bad, the next set are royally fucked.

you're doing a great job, keep up the good work. Funny though, you supposedly have a learning disablity yet you were able to figure out that the PS3 is a better system than the 360. People who're on their 3rd and 4th malfunctioning 360 claim that the 360 is better than the PS3. and they pay for services PS3 owners get for free... and some of them, are still buying HD DVDs...

I finished my education in Louisiana's school system. Unless your school is in some place like Mamou, you have virtually no excuse for that essay. Assuming you haven't completely flunked your way through High school, you should be entitled to TOPS next year. I highly recommend using that money to take an English class, remedial or otherwise. Even LSU's awkward piss poor standards won't allow essays like the one you provided.

Everyone, don't be so hard on the guy. Many of us who have posted on the internet for a while probably have decent English skills. Many of those who don't spend a lot of time may not get much practice writing. I use to be a terrible writer (my writing still sucks, but not as bad), but I got better as I started typing more often. Maybe the OP is better at math, science, or something else? I was one of the top math students but did terrible in English. Didn't mean my school system was crap due to my English level, since my school system was one of the best in the state.

I'm willing to bet ManaKnight is only saying these things because the OP likes the PS3.

I think the OP likes the PS3 beacuse it's hard to spell that incorrectly. Or uncorrectly. Much harder than counting to 360.

Or "harderer," as might be required here.
