Well, no, not really. At some stores it's the way their registers are setup.

Return fraud would be like buying it from Blockbuster then going over to Walmart and claiming to have lost the receipt.

Yea, I would have to say that's kind of gray. I wouldn't call that return fraud per-se, but it's definitely on the unethical side as a consumer.
 
I gave up on coke points because coke is always so expensive here, so I just cashed out my points for a free 12pk and a 20oz (lame that that's all I could get).

Anyway, I've got a code from a 12pk and 1 cap. PM me.
 
Hmm...does anyone think a double points day is coming soon? I have been getting a lot of dasani bottled water lately and have a good 15 or so 10 pointers just laying around...hoping to get to 1250 points and have a 50$ best buy/visa gift card pop up. At around 500 points total right now...so needless to say, need to take advantage of the double points with the 10 pointers when it does come around. I missed out last time =/.

They've only done one double pts day so far that I know of so who knows when/if they will do it again. I wish they would seeing as I have stockpiled about 15 - 10 point codes. Although the double pts days are useless unless they're going to add some decent prizes!
 
I really need to use my points....I've been slacking....I have a 32 oz cup full of caps. I wish we could add all of them one time, if you liked....guess I'll start tomorrow.

They've had 2 double point days that I know of. They were 3 months apart if I am not mistaken. We are LONG overdue for another one.

Type them up in word pad and then use the yahoo widget to quickly copy+paste them. Fastest way to do it.

Be careful doing that. I lost about 1/3 my codes one time because of typos, misreads and had tossed the originals. Stretched H & K 's on the box codes were usually the culprit but sometimes it was a transposed digit/letter.
I wish they would drop the dot-matrix printed codes (since these are always the ones that cause the problems and go with block printed codes only).
I now cut mine into little squares and keep them in a zip-lock.

Cap codes are only worth hanging onto for 2x days if you don't buy 12 packs.

I have ten 25 pointers waiting for the next one. Last time I had some of the Kroger bonus MCR codes, they didn't double and they burned an entry on the double day, I was P.O.

i just looked around in the pepsi thread and I gotta say that they have a bunch of shit I don't want (coke does too). Except for the glitch where people were getting a ton of points I'd rather do the coke rewards....
 
The nice thing about Coke is that they do rewards for all or most Coke products. I don't drink Pepsi, but I drink a lotta Mt Dew. I, like everyone else, just wish we could get more prizes from Coke.
 
Went to Fry's today for their anniversary sale- they had a hot dog and coke for 50 cents, and they used the 12 packs. I grabbed about 150 points from empty packs in the trash and surrounding areas.

Yea I started saving points in before in November when they still had some wii/360 stuff. At about 1500 points from casual collection I keep hoping there will be something to get thats worth more than a lousy 1gig flash drive, a crappy real arcade game download, or contests :(.
 
Well, GTA IV for free with MCR points (VIA Block Buster Gift-cards) is hardly garbage.
I also got Over-G Fighters for the 360 for free.
It would be nice for the Block Buster (or even better the Best Buy cards) to be restored.
Be sure to vote in the rewards poll. Now I am leaning towards the Target GC (man I love their clearance stuff with the $5 coupon) over the 800 MS points but I am voting for both with my two accounts.
 
Stopped by CVS and stocked up on Coke 12 packs. They had a 5 for $11 sale going on (well it was actually buy 4 for $11, get one free). One of my diet Coke drinking co-workers just came back from vacation and he gave me about 150 pts from his habit...


Now if they'd just stock some decent prizes I would be good to go!
 
Anyone have any idea when MCR ran out of video game rental coupons? I hope they have them back in stock by Friday... I was planning on renting Enchanted Arms this weekend.

Ok my addiction to getting codes is crazy. I live here in Philly and I was walking down Broad street at lunch today and I saw a 25 point code in the trash can right in front of Commerce Bank. Well you know what happens next. but sheesh this collecting points stuff is getting to be really really crazy.

currently at 1775 with about 100 more to redeem tomorrow.
 
Well, I knew there was something wrong with me when I saw an image of a littered riverbank and my first thought was "damn, I wonder how many Coke caps are in there..."
 
I just got an email from Coke with a code in it. There is a link in the email taking you to a page where you enter your code for a chance to win a $25 Subway giftcard.
 
I don't know how long it's been but the free BB DVD rental is gone, just the R1G1 offer is left. If that doesn't come back there isn't much for me to use points on.

Well, crap, I had 40+ points left over on my wife's account and was going to snag a rental. I guess I can pump it up for a game rental. But the DVD rentals will probably be back - they always come back a few days later.

OK, I'm worried that the movie rental coupons will come back at a much higher rate. We've already seen this happen before, of course. They were 24 or 36 originally, then bumped to 45 last time. The reason I'm worried is that the rent 1 get 1 free coupon, which is always less than the straight-up free rental coupon, is 48 points. That seems to indicate about 60-70 for the movie rentals. Unless they have been that way for a while and I just haven't noticed :lol:. I know they were 45 last time I got one.

The game ones are still there: 57 for the R1G1 and 80 for the regular.

Anyway, I filled up my wife's account to get a game rental and after redeeming it has 1 point in it ;). I'll abandon that one now and start a new one in case they bring back the $75 Blockbuster cards. But I still have a boatload of points on my main account. If things look like they are winding down I'd really like to get a stack of movie and game coupons now that they are good till Jan 2009 (I have several game ones that expire in June that I need to start using which is why I've held off getting more - I don't actually rent that many games!).

I noticed yesterday that the Blockbuster family night coupon went away and came back at 200 points. They used to be 140 points; lame. It's still a decent deal but it used to be a damn good one (2 movies, 2 cokes, and a popcorn).

I also just noticed that the single free movie rental (45 points) is now gone. It'll probably come back and cost 60 points or something. Again, lame.

Thanks for the heads up. I just redeemed 5 of those as I suspect they will come back at a higher rate. I had enough credit to get about 25 but I'm still holding out hope for something good in the gift card realm. Plus I still have 2-3 free rentals a month from Hollywood (from system purchases at Gamecrazy), 3 June Blockbuster rental coupons, and now 6 total that are good through Jan 2009. I really can't see myself renting much more than that. Though I suppose I could rent some longer games I had intended to purchase and just keep renewing them if I got more coupons :whistle2:k...

Has anyone won any of their contests on this site and if u have how did they contact you? I thought maybe i'd call them but i need to find their number.

How many codes do you have I have a bunch of a bunch of 25 point codes
 
Hmmm... Just found 4 packs of Dasani water in my garage. 80 points... That makes 5 20 point codes. Trying to get 10 so I can get the most out of the double points days. 400 points would be great. 5 Game rentals :).

Did you check the fine print? The usually say they pick the winners on XYZ and notify them by ABC.

I sort of did the same for previous contests(before coke extended their MCR program), but it was "pointless." I think that even stuffing the thing full each day still wouldn't really give you that much more of a chance of winning.

Of course now that I have a decent amount of points, nothing of interest is offered..

Last double points day was only for 10 and 3 pointers, IIRC.
 
i bought a 24 pack of coke, and the code is completely unreadable. any ideal on who to contact about that? or will they just think im some scammer and say get lost?

If you are talking about the one in January, then that is not correct. It started out that way but it worked on 25 pointers (from Costco) about mid-day (and others reported it working on 20's as well). I had redeemed a few before that and after several rounds with customer service I gave up on getting the double points for those first ones - they kept telling me I did, when I clearly (by looking at my code redemption history) had not.

I say wait. movies and pizza is not really worth it considering the whole thing is like 30 dollars at most and that is a waste of points right now. They are supposed to be adding a whole lot of 5 and 10 dollar gift cards. wait for them to come up.

The last time when I had over 1,500 points, I spent about 800 of it on random stuff, including a Pirates poster, which is now crumpled up in my closet.

Then, in that same week, they added the BB GC's - and I had to-do a mad-rush to gain almost 500 points back so I could buy them (500 points in a week). Thankfully, I made it, with about two - three days to spare.
