My Coke Rewards is dead, long live Coke Rewards. Or not.

The rewards just got a little worse. The AMC silver and gold tickets have been bundled with a free large drink but the point cost has jumped from 200/220 to 330/375. I'll continue to take my own drinks in, thankyouverymuch. MCR is getting worse and worse...
 
MCR is getting worse by the minute...

On 5/26 I ordered a video game rental for 80 points. What happens? My points are deducted from my account, but my reward is never sent to my email. Now, 3 days later, I check it out and the video game rentals are at 114 points. My 80 points were put back into my account though. This is total bullshit.

Why do they increase the points so much? Seriously, aren't they making enough money selling the soda? Eventually, this shit is going to cost 250 points per game rental. It simply wouldn't be worth entering codes then... 84 caps for one rental... 25 flaps... 13 packs of Dasani water... I think Coke deserves a round of applause.

Hey, I'm a freaking genius! Well, not really... I think that was pretty obvious they were coming back at a higher rate. Blah... Are movie rentals back yet at a higher rate too (seems obvious too, because the rent 1 get 1 free was higher than the free rentals which had run out)?

Actually, if I was such a genius I would have gotten more like I was considering in my post there. I'm glad I got 5, anyway, and didn't just sit on my points. Like I said, though, I had enough to get 25 at the old rate. At the new rate I would have only been able to get 16 :bomb:. They better have something else good come along to justify me not emptying my account out for game rentals when I had the chance. And I still remember the days when they were 64 points...
 
I wonder how coke justifies the price increases on the coupons "...the cost of gas is going up...so are our delivery costs.." they are emailed damn it.
 
I just got a free coupon code from MCR... $2.50 off a 12-pack of Vault. Looks like it takes a small amount of work to get it... I don't drink Vault, however, so if anyone's interested I'll try to get you the link to it. Seems like the system only lets you print it once, so the first person to PM me will get it.

I personally get my codes by trading in-game currency for codes in an online game I play. I don't know if this is a viable option for anyone else, but it's served me well. I'm basically trading spacebucks for free stuff, so I'm really satisfied with MCR no matter what the circumstances. For free, I've gotten $75 blockbuster gift card (Which allowed me to get GTA4 and Indigo Prophesy used), 5 free movie rentals, 2 free game rentals, a Coca-Cola baseball cap, subscription to Wired, subscription to Popular Mechanics, and subscription to Entertainment Weekly. :)

I redeemed some points for four free game rental coupons on May 23rd (after I got the email about them going away).
When I redeemed mine I got an instant pop-up with the coupon images to print and saved them. Each one has a different coupon bar-code. I didn't know they ever emailed them. I think you screwed up.

Everyone needs to disable your pop-up blockers when on MCR; you also can't do the MCR surveys with a pop-up blocker on.

EDIT: NM I didn't thoroughly read the entirety of your post. That sucks that they cancelled your redemption.

Oh, man, I have a TON of these. Hopefully it works like before where you can do 10 in the AM and 10 more in the PM since the 10 per day is a noon-to-noon thing but the double points are midnight-to-midnight. Plus I need to open up a second account for my daughter (in case those Blockbuster cards come back). I think I have enough to do 40 fridge packs total. It's just too bad everything is crap now :cry:. But if I can get 800 instead of 400 for those 40 fridge pack codes then I won't mind 114 (or whatever they are) game rentals quite so much.

I just got a text from MCR confirming 2xday.
I think 12 packs were 4 for 11 last week at Target. This week I know Kroger is $4.xx (pepsi is on sale there this week).
Where are coke fridge packs cheap this week?

Where are coke fridge packs cheap this week?[/quote]I didn't get a paper this week, but when I don't know of a weekly deal I go by QT as they have had seemingly all 12 packs at 2 for $6 for a long time. It was 2 for $5 for a little while. The only thing is you can't mix and match 12 packs from different companies for the deal to work so if you want Coke and Mt Dew you need to get two of each for the deal. I have gotten Coke and Coke Zero at the same time so different products by the same company is good. I think I saw a sign for the same deal at RaceTrac.

For those without QT, it's a gas station company that seemingly has locations on every corner in the entire Atlanta area.

Buy them from Target and hold onto the receipt- once you find them cheaper somewhere else, buy them and return them to Target with the old receipt. It's like a 90 day guarantee that you get.

On a similar note, 24 packs are 2 for $9 at Ralph's (Kroger). That's about the equivalent of 4 x 12 packs for $9, or $2.25 each.

Luckily, I've been extremely lazy at entering codes and I recently started entering 10 a day (I get lots of caps from coworkers) purposefully saving the higher point codes for last in case of a 2x day. Awesome.

They have been back sporadically but sellout in a day or two. The Block Buster cards came back in the $75 increment right before GTA IV came out. Which was nice, free GTA IV.

I missed the last Best buy card return.
 
Good thing double points is back, because I have a lot of codes saved up. Now let's hope I remember to use them this time, since I forgot on the last double point day. :cry:

I'll admit, my school exclusivly stocks coke, so I do have a feeling to rummage whenver I see an overflowng bin, but I never do. But if a bottle just happens to be lying on a bench or a table....I've been guilty here and there >_>
