man it gets bad when your addicted to this thing. I was on broad st. here in wonderful philadelphia, pa (two blocks from city hall) and I saw a 25 pointer right on top of a trash can. well needless to say I got it, but when you can trash pick in front of a crowd of people wearing a suit. then you know your too far gone in this thing.

Well, that is a problem. But remember there was nothing for a while after the last one and then the Blockbuster gift cards showed up a month or two later (though excluding people who have gotten them at a different price before :bomb:). This time I'm starting up a third account (for my daughter) and getting all my double points there. Then if they bring back the "one per person" BBV gift cards I'll be good to go. Problem is, I fear they will come back at 1500 or 2000 this time :roll: (Were 750 the first 2 times, then 1037 or something when they came back the last time for $75 in GCs for those who missed out on it).

The BBV cards were nice, they came in $15 cards for a total of $75. I actually cashed in on them the second time they were put in the store. Still haven't had the chance to catch the Best Buy one, but I love MCR, I think they are doing a great job. Much better than Pepsi. :)
 
I noticed there was a link on the main page for suggesting rewards! I suggested a Nintendo DS, as they had it on there before and was saving up for it before they took it off the site!!!! :bomb:

I would appreciate it if everyone suggested the DS as a reward... :roll:

Then maybe it will be put back on the site!

Anyone want to loan me 10 flaps, that I could pay you back over two weeks? (I go through almost a 12 pack of coke zero a day). Or I could trade you out 4 costco 25 pointers.
 
Note that Coke is on sale at Target this week 4 for $12 (at least here - sometimes the prices vary by region but it ought to be on some sort of sale everywhere). Stock up for that double points day!

I think it's national, it's 4 fridge-packs for 12 in ATL. Dasani 12 packs were also 4 for twelve I believe.
 
Lets hope that you can input 20 codes like the last double points day.

I'm up to 19 codes. Pretty sure I can get one before Wensday.

But don't forget, for most people, this actually starts Tuesday night! As far as I remember the code entry (10 per day) is noon-to-noon Eastern time but the double points are midnight-to-midnight Eastern. So us West coasters can pretty much start entering 10 codes as early as Tuesday at 9pm. If you wait till "Wednesday" chances are you'll miss the first opportunity to get the 10 codes in and will be stuck with just the second set. I know I would since I won't even be up that early ;). I better write a note and stick it to my computer to get some codes in Tuesday night!
 
is there a certain time i stick in the codes on Wednesday? just wondering when yall talk about the 1st and 2nd sets.

is the coke 24 pack for 5.00 for every walmart?

Well, I thought I explained it in my last post. The way it worked before is the double points are midnight-to-midnight (thus all day on the 25th). But the limit of 10 codes per day resets at noon (all Eastern time I believe). So you can enter 10 just after midnight (or any time up till noon Eastern) and another 10 after noon on the 25th. At least that's the way it worked for the double point day in January.
 
sorry i didnt understand, i was thinking like for the first half you can only use 10-20point codes and the second half only 3pt codes or something. ive been collecting coke points since last year when they started but i never knew they had double point days or i wouldve saved back some 20pt flaps for this wednesday(atm i only have bout 5-6 caps that i havent turned in :( )
 
also, i have dial up so i installed the yahoo widgets plus the MCR widget and whenever i get a code i go ahead and input it, but since i heard bout the double point day ive been saving the caps, i havent been to the store in a few days but ill go tomorrow and pick up a few 2liters and a couple 24pks from walmart.

do they still make 3liters? i havent seen ANY(all brands) of those in over a year
 
I'm not sure either of those will qualify. It says "fridge packs" only so I think it is only 12-packs (10 pointers). That's all I'm putting in, anyway (and it usually what I have the most of).

In other news, I've been burning through the old game rentals I had from MCR that expire at the end of June. I finished up Bully (started on a free Hollywood Video rental), snagged Kung-Fu Panda last week, and plan to pick up Wall-E tomorrow. (Yeah, I have 2 boys that want to play those last two - plus they are a quick and easy diversion for me as well ;)).

Note that I was able to use an expired coupon before (movie rental I think) so they don't seem to stick hard and fast to the expiration dates (it scanned fine and worked automatically a month after it expired). But I'd rather not take my chances if I have games I want to rent anyway.

Has anyone gotten one of the new 114 point (or whatever) rental coupons? Do they go beyond the January 2009 date the last ones had?

If anyone is looking to stock up on 10 pointers real fast before tomorrows double points day. then go to ACME and buy 6 12 packs for 11 dollars with coupon.

(works out great for me because I just have to buy 24 packs becuase my wife is selling sodas at one of her fundraisers :D)

So...can anyone confirm that this has officially started? I got a handful of 10 pointers that I'd like to input, but want to be sure that they'll double up.

Try it after noon. Since you only have 3 10 pointers left it can't hurt.
 
Just loaded up our 3 accounts (mine, my wife's, and my daughter's) with double fridge-pack points. I thought I had a lot more but after entering those 30 I only have 10 more. Now I need to decide if I want to trek to Target tomorrow and get more. Problem is I'd have to be home before 9pm to enter them...

(I do have several caps and a couple of 20-pointers but I'll wait till others try those first ;)).
 
Well, this is lovely. The system is glitched. Don't enter any 25 pointers. I just did 2 and only got credited 20 each for them.

i know 12packs have 10points and when enter in 24pk codes its 20points.
is it the bottled water or powerade packs?

They're from the Costco 32 packs.
 
Well that sucks. I entered in 9 of the fridge pack codes and on the 10th one there's one letter that's sorta scrambled. Could be an 8, an a, b, who the hell knows. I kept guessing but didn't get it right and eventually got the "too many invalid redemption attempts". Dammit!

i had one that was really unreadable and i just ended up just throwing it in the trash,

i dont know what to do but maybe look at your other flaps and see which closest matches it. i wonder if you contact coke they give you a new code?
 
yeah if you have a code that is unreadable just do the askhank section and fill it out they will give you another code.

as far the promotion goes- i got my 200 points in for this morning. just waiting now for 12 so i can get another 200 in.

after checking over at slickdeals, only the 10 point 12 packs are doubling today after 12pm eastern time.

got 12 in right now will get the other 8 later today.

so if your saving those 20 and 25 pointers, continue to do so
 
Well, this sucks. I only had 9 10 pointers. I really thought I had more....

Was really hoping I could have used my 4 20 pointers though.

Edit - Trying to input my last code right now and MCR servers are going so slow...

I'm just giving you a hard time. Usually they get taken by lurkers so it's cool. And I'm not officially an "old man" until August, so lay off! :lol:

I still need to scrounge up the rest of my afternoon codes. I asked the wife to stop by Target and load up. She just got back so I need to unload the car, rip off all the codes, and get busy!
