My Ebay adventures!! Rednecks, too!

To do the confirmed addresses only, go to Profile on the main screen you see after logging in. Then under "Selling Preferences" click the "Payment Receiving Preferences" and block users who do not have a Confirmed address :)

I still think that all of the "SHAME ON YOU" remarks make her sound like Ms. Swan from Mad TV. You should refer to her as that, especially when you contact her

I doubt she'd get it, and confuse her, and it'd be our little inside joke.

So, which one of you is Ebay UN: stinkingprice? Whoever it is just bought like 5-6 of her horribly overpriced games. I feel bad saying this, but.... HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

Mrs.Swan -
Is this item resealed like your other ones or is it actually brand new? I hope it's not been re-shrinkwrapped, because if it has been shrinkwrapped by you, then selling it as new would be against many rules of Ebay and perhaps even your state laws. You're falsely advertising an item as new - among other things.

I wonder if she'll post it up ^_^

Which item did you ask her about? I'd like to keep an eye out for her response...

Same problems here... unconfirmed people just do not get it...
Thanks for the support guys! You know, like I said I've been selling on Ebay since 1998 and only within the past year have I begun having real problems. As I was gathering up my most recent batch of my old games and junk to sell, I swore to myself that if I had any problems in this round of selling then I would just quit Ebay all together. When I add the amount of trouble that even one crappy buyer can give me to the existing hassle of having to harass bidders to actually pay up - well, its not even worth it.

I'm having another small problem right now on Ebay - I clearly state that I only take Paypal payments from people who have confirmed shipping addresses. However, most buyers apparently cannot fucking read because 2 items (one for about $40 and one for about $300) from this batch of my auctions were paid for by people with unconfirmed addresses. I get ripped off ($300+) a few months back because some dipshit bought my DS, recieved it (I have tracking numbers to prove it!), filed a non-receipt of goods claim against me, got his money back, and got my DS for free. Paypal's customer service sucks, and even though I had a valid tracking number that says he received the DS, they ruled in his favor in the his-word-against-mine game.

I just can't deal with this shit anymore.

Good idea.

I reported ever single one of her videogame auctions to eBay. Every single fucking one of them, has to be like 120 or something like that.

fucking bitch. I hope eBay reams her out, or at least makes her take down her shit.
Awesome, now that's a great cheapassgamer moderator.

Get her! :twoguns:

:shame: on this fucking woman. Nothing I hate more than scammers. Lately I've been perusing ebay a lot while at work looking for deals...I keep seeing people seling modded xboxes...whatever. It's when I see them selling it with "20 games pre-installed" or a stack of CD-R games... that I report their ass.

This woman is even worse, she's ripping off her buyers.

I say we all bombard her with questions like why are you sealing resealed games etc. or How is that game new when it has a EB sticker on it unfer the shrink-wrap.

If possible, someone should try to get law enforcement involved. This clearly qualifies as fraud, and sellers' local police are typically helpful in eBay issues. (In my experience, a police officer at the door of a deadbeat seller is incredibly effective) Then again, if nobody here has actually been ripped off by the seller, it would be harder to convince the police to do something.

Yeah, I haven't been officially ripped off yet - she's trying, but she hasn't gotten anywhere yet. I hope that with fellow CAGs helping me to turn up the heat on her that she'll just drop it.
That seems to be the case so far, since her father's threats of 'reporting' the situation to Ebay has thus far proven empty. He said that he had, but I have received no contact from Ebay about it... Hopefully they thought better of it, considering the whole rewrapping thing. I think they were just trying to shake me down, and I didn't fall for it.
The kicker is that she had the balls to offer to keep the game if I refunded her $27! What a rip! If I did that, she would be getting a near-perfect complete Suikoden 2 for about $89. Yeah, like I'm gonna accept that!

And thanks Shrike - I should have guessed that the #1 king of CAG trading would take it upon himself to bring this hooch down!!

Here ya go people:

http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp

Report her ass. Back in the day, some guy ripped me off for over $400 for a video game package. Claimed he sent it, wouldn't give out tracking numbers or a refund. I filed on the ifccfbi website and the next day had my money back. I'm sure if enough people reported her they would do something about it.

On a different note, what kind of moron buyers are buying from her? She's a power seller! That means she has to sell at least $1,000 a month to keep that status.

yeah, if you look closely you'll see that she has actually sold some stuff at reasonable prices in the past. Maybe she's suddenly getting greedy? Or maybe she's been taking Stupid pills.

Nail this bitch to the wall and pray she never comes down. Selling resealed games as new to glean profits from the galactically stupid isn't right in the least. If one is to glean profits from the galactically stupid, at least be HONEST about it.
And if any CAGs watch Attack of the Show, you know there are some stupid people on ebay. ;)

She responded with

"this is brand new factory sealed.thank you.CRYSTAL"

:whistle2:?

I can't believe she'd be stupid enough to have that discussed on the phone, either by her or by her dad. That's ridiculous. And I'm pretty sure that they are trying to shake you down. I'd go after her with both barrels right now, first disputing the situation with eBay, since they owe you the games.

If she wants the refund, you get the game back. First. Otherwise, fuck her sorry ass with a telephone pole.

I reported all her auctions, so that at least eBay takes a look at them, if nothing else. It's all I can do, since I won't bother to try and deal with stiffing her on a purchase, and hopefully eBay will start thinking of what's going on, especially with some of the odd wording she uses in some of her auctions.

It was time consuming, though it needs to be done, partly for the dumb fucks that might buy her ridiculous crap, and partly so she learns a lesson.

OK, so check this out. I found three examples real quick of her buying used complete games & movies and then reselling them as sealed and new. These were all purchased by her within the last month, and she currently has them listed.

Golden Sun

I'm sure there would be more if I felt like looking; these were the really obvious and recent ones. She probably gets other used games and movies at local stores and does the same thing. Ugh.

theres tons of these "new" sellers on Ebay atleast she does boxed games, I've recieved "new" xbox games that are jacked up...

Actually, that's an example of her having bout one from someone else - she was the buyer on that one. I'd bet that it'll pop up as sealed and new pretty soon though, if it hasn't already.
The whole reason she was pissed that the copy I sold her wasn't perfect (though any one of many CAGs would love to have a complete copy in such pristine shape!) is because it meant that she couldn't repackage it as new. I wonder how she explains why there is no seal label across the top of her sealed discs? She seems to prefer to reseal boxed games and VHS cassettes rather than jewel cases and DVD boxes - probably because of the tope label seal issue... :bomb:

All the more reason eBay needs to go look at her shit and quickly. Hopefully, they'll put the same logic together and get the hint.

Yeah, I know. I guess she's just one of the stupidest, and most brazen about it. Especially since her resell prices are so absurdly high! Well that and in her case I know for sure that is what she's doing since her dipshit dad told me so...

You should email the full version of those links to ebay.

I'm reporting a guy right now that is selling one a disc with a SNES emulator and 300 SNES roms on it. I hate people that try to MAKE MONEY off of someone else's hard work (the emulator) & illegal roms. Reporting dummies and scammers on ebay is fun. :D

Littering up my Chrono Trigger searches, fuck him. The other guy that pisses me off sells other people's gamefaqs as "stragedy guides" that are, quote ".... completely typed in easy to read english" - he litters up my guide searches too - but I don't think I can report him.

PS
I'm at work. I'm getting paid, I'm not wasting valuable time, just work time. :D

I just sent her a question, I hope she tells me that she opens and reseals games. I will report her for sure...

"Hello, I was looking at several of your auctions. It seems that everything you list (game wise) is New and Sealed... yet most of the games you are selling are for old systems (years old), How is it that you have so many old games that were never opened and are new and sealed? Are they all FACTORY sealed? I am very interested in several of your auctions...Please let me know...Thank you"

Yea like I would pay what she is asking for anything she is selling lol....

Ok... what we need, is a big guy, in a suit, with some fake business cards, We have 'im show up at her house. Suit guy gives fake business card and says he's Mr. Blah-blah from Ebay, checking in on some 'complaints' that have cropped up recently. We have him go in, play nice, and then tell them they know about the re-sealing machine and if it doesn't stop now, Ebay will sue them to re-coup the losses of the many, many buyers they've ripped off. It could be fun...
Don't Nintendo games have some sort of line or something in the seal that you wouldn't really be able to reproduce?
Easily done my friend. Just a matter of moving the shrinkwrap 1/2 way from where you make the 1st seal. Then seal off the two ends.
this has got to be one of the worst deals i have seen in my life $385

for mario all-stars on snes
WTF?!? First it's just wrong to reseal games... then she sells them for outrageous price... I'm surprised so many people have bought games from her.

I see that ebay user stinkingprice (0 feedback) has won a few of her recent auctions. I wonder if stinkingprice will actually pay her.

I would hope not...but I did just win as many as I could with a new account. Won't do much in the long run, but it should at least give her some short term headaches.

stinkingprice, eh? You'd think someone would have used something like 'shameonyou' as a fake ebay ID.

What an absolute ass. Buying used games then turning around, re-shrinkwrapping them and selling for such rediculous prices. About $400 for Mario All-Stars? What the freakin' hell, lady.

Wow, I can't believe this girl. I really hope karma comes back and bites her in the ass. (She's so horrible, even shrike gets all angry and curse-y :) .)

I know you said she just ships from there, but I think I'm officially associating Stone Mountain, GA with jerkholes. The only time I got a bootleg GBA game was from a jerk there.

Hey OP, is this your game maybe? She didn't bother resealing this one.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8208740444

People like that make it harder for honest sellers to accomplish anything. I hope she doesn't get my Pokemon Pinball...
Apparently Stone Mountain, GA is the experimental asshole colony that should have been built on the north magnetic pole...
both OP and judyx3 have had bad experiences with ebay sellers that hail from there.

Thanks for the word of warning, you two.

Nail this beeyotch for great justice.

Actually, Stone Mountain is about 30 mins from downtown Atlanta, and I am inclined to think that the entire metro area is the experimantal asshole colony you speak of. I likve in the city itself, and it is f'n horrible.
Extreme humidity + bad roads + heavy traffic + the shittiest transit system ever + hillbilly rednecks + 'dirty south' yo-boy thugs + horrible race relations = F'N HELL ON EARTH!!!

I've only got about 9-10 more months living here - I just can't take it anymore. The wife and I are moving to the west coast as soon as I finish school in the spring. I've lived here on and off for 28 years, and I don't know how I've stood it this long.

HA! now she's selling a Jimi Hendrix plays Monterey CD for $55!! HA!! She's also got a Kenny Chesney CD for $65 - it is in stock at Amazon for $13.98. This lady really is a laugh a minute!

And no, I still haven't heard back from her yet. hopefully she'll just drop it.

heh, was the seller adol? he has a LOT of "factory sealed" final fantasy 3. He apparently found a way to replicate the nintendo factory seal. some dude opened up the ff3 he bought from adol and it didnt have the manual, map or inserts. heh.

Unfortunately no, as they all had immediate payment requirements (I considered making a fake Paypal account, but that's quickly approaching the fraud zone).
