well worth 1200 with all of the content, multiplayer, and unlockables. Was anybody REALLY expecting 800 after braid came out at 1200 and did so well? I was expecting 1600, to tell the truth.

After listening to all sorts of gaming podcasts, I'm finally softening on Braid and I'm really interested in trying it as I understand the demo does not represent the game well. My question is, if I had to choose one, should I choose Braid or Bionic Commando?

Are Path of Radiance and Pikmin 2 sealed all that rare? I was looking up prices on games that I have sealed. I saw that these two together would net me nearly $100 if I can sell both. So I put them up.

Yay, Castle Crashers is not 1600!

I just put in an order for Scene It! 360 on Live Search Club. So that's fun.

On the same note, I wish my copy of Fable (xbox) from them would come.

I sold my unsealed Pikmin 2 for $40 or so a few months ago, not sure about PoR right now, though I know it had some value not long ago.

Aw dayum, now do I get Castle Crashers and Braid, or Castle Crashers and Bionic Commando?

Yes, I know there's a sale on points at Target. I also know I don't have a Target within two hours of me.

I can pick you up some points. I have one 2 minutes from me.

Naw, thanks though. I'm trying to blow less money as it is.

Get BCR over Braid.

That LBP cover art is really nice. I like the sticker/home made feel to it.

BCR!!!!!!!!
Anyone see the new look of GameSpot?
I actually think this is the exact same as their old design, meaning it's better.

Hey anybody who's picking up Bionic Commando Rearmed on PSN, do you want to gameshare? I've bought the 360 version but I kinda want the PSN one too for remote play.

I've got a lot of stuff to trade - MK2, Pain, Pixeljunk Monsters, Crash Bandicoot PS1, etc.

I'm motherfucking sore after helping my friends move all their shit out of their apartment last night. The highlights were a shit ton of books and a 34" Sony Wega HDTV that weighs 190 pounds. All had to be moved down a flight of stairs.

Plus when we went and dropped off the U Haul, my friend forgot his car keys so our asses had to walk almost 3 miles back to their old apartment to get them. We started moving at noon and didn't finish until 3 am. So I didn't get to play shit alll day.

I did get a free laptop for my troubles, my friend's old Dell that he doesn't want anymore. It has a Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz Dell with 1 GB RAM and a 128 MB X1400 GPU. It needs a new battery, but you can't beat free. ;)

I was going back thru some old GGTs for some research on my next blog entry and I decided to look at what we were talking about 1 year ago today. Here's a few quotes from August 14, and early morning August 15, 2007:

Currently Playing / General Gaming Talk Thread #5
For some odd reason, I felt like playing the Folklore demo on PS3, so I did and beat it again. I just really like that demo, can't explain why.

I played the Bioshock demo today. Graphics are very impressive and the production qualities are high. I'm not a big fan of its combat style though. I'm more of a Blue Dragon/Eternal Sonota fan, so I'll probably pass on the game. I definitely liked it more than I thought.

I bought MGS Portable Ops today (rented once before), but haven't started playing it yet.

I went a little old-school today, playing FFIV and Secret of Mana. Two of my favorite games of all time. :)

It's nice when I can beat a game I paid $17.99 for in under 2 hours and not feel like I wasted my money. TMNT for the GBA is an excellent throwback to the arcade game. Definitely keeping that one on my shelf.

Now I remember why I quit playing The Suffering: Ties That Bind the first time. You're playing, everything is good, and then suddenly it gets RIDICULOUSLY hard. I should have started the game on easy.

Ah well, I'll make it through somehow

I'll be playing Bioshock and Madden 08 tomorrow.

man I hate doing laundry!

played me a bunch of Tekken DR on psp waiting for the clothes to dry

ahhh FFX and Deus Ex on PS2. Very competent port on the second one. Trying to get System Shock 2 to run on XP also.

Screw your bioshocks I'm going old school

Batman.

Oh wait, there is no game of the greatest superhero on the DS. What a shitty system.

Then again...the games are usually shitty anyways. Now I don't know what to think :hot:

Batman Returns on the SNES was quality

Hamsterz Life... no joke...get it or die.

Puzzle Quest while taking a dump FTW !!
Interesting Krymner, I just lost interest in Puzzle Quest, I must have played it every day on the can for weeks.

Now I'd say, Playing old Genesis and Snes games on my GP2X while taking a dump FTW !!

A few weeks ago, our living room SDTV finally kicked the bucket (we were going to buy an HD that weekend anyway, it's the one I was having the image-fitting issues with), so we had to move it out of the living room, then move the 30-something inch SDTV from upstairs down the narrow staircase ever made. All after running and working out earlier in the day.

I took a shower and went to bed, my body had been pwnt.

I'll buy a share off you for 1/5 the cost. I'm supposed to be in a group but he hasn't pm'ed me yet.

Is there anyway I can use a PS3 Fighting Stick 3 on PS2?

GGT #5 lasted two weeks, does that ever happen now?

Some conversation with Past Me:
This coming week is going to be to be Gaming Sex----I'm picking up Bioshock, Jeanne D'arc, Castlvania: Portrait of Ruin (now at 20 bucks), Crush, and Golden Sun for GBA (eight bucks, never played it before).
This post is weird, because not only did I never buy Golden Sun (I know, failure), I don't remember Portrait of Ruin being a premeditated purchase...I remember just seeing when I stopped by FYE on the way out of the Mall after picking up my Bioshock LE. Weird.

Fun fact? Of all the games in that post, I've only finished Bioshock.
So I finished Star Force's main story; now I'm finishing up the SP bosses, collecting missing cards, etc. etc. I'm also enjoying Kameo (thanks, Live Search Club!). I haven't been playing as much Tales of the World, and I'd like to; after this week, my time will be surely be split between Jeanne D'arc, Bioshock, and that other thing....what was it called? Oy, yeah, school.
Man, Star Force 1 was so much better than the sequel; 2007 Me was willing to put in the time to collect everything, even with Jeanne D'arc and Bioshock to play. 2008 Me couldn't wait to finish SF2.

Also, Tales of the World? Haven't touched it in at least six months.
So I wasn't going to able to pick up Bioshock until Friday, and thus I was going to finish up Splinter Cell DA and some other previous-gen games. Now I'm probably going to get it tommorrow, so...nevermind.

Tonight, probably Kameo.
Once again, still haven't finished Kameo or Splinter Cell DA (though I got to the final boss! He's a dickrabbit.)

I like how all my posts begin with "So,".
GGT #5 lasted two weeks, does that ever happen now?
Yeah, the old GGTs were a lot slower than they are today. Just shows how much we've all come together and are more comfortable with one another I guess. I did notice that the biggest majority of the old posts were mainly "What I'm playing now" kind of posts as opposed to just general gaming. Also, there's a bunch of people who don't come into the GGT anymore, and a bunch of new faces that have become regulars since then.

I know I usually just posted maybe once or twice per GGT.

Anyhow, I've been playing that BCR. Awesomtastic!
DarthPuma: No way to get a PS3 stick working on a PS2 unless you dual PCB mod it ;(
Oh well, I'll just play my PS2 fighting games in the living room. Looks like I'm getting a stick!

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

honestly Nelo I didn't see that coming... a deal between EA and Grasshopper. Probably will become my favorite EA game though

my guess is that it's that game playing with light and darkness... looked good and very different from Suda's other work.

here's concept art for it:

Yep.
anyone know if SFA1 on the PSn is worth getting? after SFA2 and SFA3 I feel spoiled going backwards.
Unless you're feeling really nostalgic, I say don't do it.

Sounds like it was a bitch too. I'm tired and sore today. I don't want to walk up and down stairs for a week.

And I agree, old GGTs went slow. I can't even keep up with them now.

Liking soul calibur so far. Only tried a few characters, but I really like Hilde so far. Already got a few really basic combos down.
