Oh shit, I've just been virtually bitch slapped with logic.

I was about to go off of what you said and say 'a real man would relieve himself to imagine baby sitter' but thats sick :whistle2:? of course not :D

I'm debating on switching my pre-order for Yggdra Union PSP from Amazon to Gamestop for the free CD...

Also, Circuit City sent me my download code for the Fable 3 Pub games. I didn't think I would be getting it from them.

You will have a ton of gold when Fable 3 comes out.
Sleeper GOTY: Rise of the Argonauts.
Realistically, the game won't be good, but I really, really want it to be great... some interesting ideas in that game...

I'm really hoping this turns out true. I really want this game to be good.
Man, what the heck is my problem? I can't get into BC:R. Everything about it is fantastic, but I've just got no desire to pay the $10 to get the full game.

Maybe it has something to do with my never having played the original NES game? Or perhaps I, too, am an enemy of fun? :(
I'm the same way. I dl'ed the demo, but it just didn't grab me. I get the controls, but for some reason they're not coming as naturally to me as I would have hoped. Maybe it takes some time getting used to. On top of that the art style just doesn't pop out enough for me. It seems like an excellent game despite all of this.

I never played the original, so I guess that doesn't help matters either.

Is there something I'm missing?

My brother found out his roommates for college. One is from Japan, the other is from somewhere in Asia and has been in America for a while.

Argonauts looks like it will be a really good game. Very under the radar. I love the no HUD, the no bars/health system besides looking at yourself and enemies and seeing your damage, the Greek history, and the hailing your deeds to one of four Gods in return for skills and abilities. The gameplay and graphics look great too.

The no health bars thing could be a problem tho... if it's anything like Diablo, you need to know how much life you have all the time.

As for missions, to complete the story I'm pretty sure you have to do them all. Where you at now?
Working on missions for Playboy, Duane and Francis.

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS!

THE JONAS BROTHERS ONLY HAVE ONE DAY TO SQUEEZE IN A PHOTOSHOOT, INTERVIEWS, AND A HOMETOWN CONCERT!

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO, GGT?

*cries*

I'm in Florida, so that means it's Final Fantasy IV DS time.

Thoughts so far (after like 15 minutes):

- I definitely still wish this was on PSP, just because the graphics and audio would obviously be superior. At the same time, though, the graphics look good enough. They're clean, and that's really what matters. The music is excellent so far... it sure is good to hear that overworld theme again.

- Having the map on the bottom screen is soooo nice. I know that when I get further into the game where you need to be using that map like... all the damn time, this'll be a nice feature to have.

- The voice acting's good.

- The cinematics are sooooo much better than they were before. Dramatic camera angles add so much to these sequences.

- I thought that Final Fantasy lost some of its charm because it went 3D... turns out, that wasn't it, because even in 3D, this has just as much charm as the 2D original had.

But yeah, I still love this game... I don't really have any nostalgia for it since the first time I played it, it was the PS1 version in 2003 (and I only played like 4 hours of it), but my first full playthrough wasn't until the GBA version. So yeah, I'm chalking my enjoyment up to this being just a good damn game and not nostalgia.

This is the first good RPG on the DS, and it's got me mad excited for Chrono Trigger DS and Dragon Quest IV. So that's a good thing.

Bit of a stretch there chac, there were already some pretty damn good RPG's on the system already.

The closest thing to a good RPG I've played on the DS so far was Final Fantasy III, and it was horrible. Etrian Odyssey's the name I expect to pop up apart from that, but that game was soooooooooo borrrriiiiiiinnnngggg. It was like "whoa, let's make a game that's tough like SMT, but also take out the kewl stuff and put in fairies and shit."
Quick question for those playing it right now: Bangai O Spirits - is it better than the Dreamcast game?
Hell no.
But gaiz pokemonz seriouz rpg
wasn't even referring to that, but if you want to deny that it is, then well.....you'd just be a person in denial.

I've put 85 hours into diamnond not including shiny resetting AND my team is horrible.

I love that game.

My stepdad keeps kicking my ass at SC4. He like does a mix between button mashing and his own "combos." It pisses me off!

hmm... in other news, Ebay is an amazing thing.

Fact: Ebay has fourteen different interfaces. There's one for if you're logged in, one for if you're not logged in, a classic view, a menu for stupid women, etc. I can't ever learn this site.

Also, I got an email from a customer, and he's like

Got the disk - but it was scratched and won't mount!
My son is very distressed. We cleaned the disk and tried
repeatedly to no avail.

Please advise.
We would like you to refund our money or if possible send
another disk.

So I dunno if I believe this guy or not... what kind of dad knows about mounting a disc like with Daemon Tools or some shit? And the disc was in mint condition. Because I never fucking put it in my computer. Decisions, decisions...

600 hours......not including the time I've spent with pearl.....and the jap versions.....
The main problem for me is it lacks the charm the original had. No more wacky story for example. Also it's just not as fun to play.
I heard it's more of a puzzle game than a shooter now... is that true? That's kinda intriguing if that's the case, but I dunno...

I played some of the original Mega Man ZX on the plane... I think I'll just go ahead and sell that an Advent. I mean, they're fun games, but they're not like... enduring works.

That's ridiculous.

Yup, definitely true. I guess if you like puzzle games more then give it a shot. I was expecting the same thing as was on the DC.
wasn't even referring to that, but if you want to deny that it is, then well.....you'd just be a person in denial.
Yeah, I forgot about Pokemon. I won't shit all over it, because I know that it is a legit enough game. I don't really have any interest in it (though I did like Red back in 1998), particularly because it's like a yearly update game, but I can't say it's bad.

Yeah, I'll probably give it a whirl and maybe consider picking up the DC game at some point.

won't argue with that. But it's more like a every other year update :D. The revisions just make it better and better and even more finely tuned. This gen's has been the best since G/S/C. Dear god was R/S/E awful.....
Yeah, I'll probably give it a whirl and maybe consider picking up the DC game at some point.
I played around with the DS version last night and having never played the DC version (only watching videos of it) it didn't seem like it had the same feel. It plays like a puzzle shooter, kinda like every extend extra where everything is dependent on combos and timing shit right. I plan to pick up the DC version one of these days, when I can get it for cheaper than $70.

See, that description of the DS Bangai-O makes it sound interesting. I've got a shit ton of shooters as it is, both of the vertical and horizontal variety, so something that changes the formula up a bit like that sounds great.

Alright, I'm tired. Goin to sleep, and waking up to... play Final Fantasy IV. Maybe play it outside in the climate controlled outside area that only rich people have /caviar.

Tax free weekend this weekend. That means 13 hours of dealing with dumbshit customers at a retail video game store for me tomorrow since boss is out of town. Awesome.

I thought the same thing.

When I was eight.

Goodnight GGT.

And still not very far off from that age for you eh?

Starkiller is a god damn bitch.

SC4's story makes like zero sense lol.

Pineapple express was hilarious.

"What's down there? A Rancor?"

I was one of 8 people in the theater.

heyyyyyyyyy....

I'm fiend for sum Sonic The Hedgehog coz I saw this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuF28Dqcwec

but I've never played a 3D sonic game before...

are Sonic Adventure for the DC and Sonic Hero for GC good games??

or will they anger me like most 2D->3D games do??

EDIT:

Sonic adventure 1 was great when it came out, but now...........

I really doubt you'd have fun with any of the 3-D sonic games to date.

Since we're on the topic of Pokemon - am I the only one that noticed that D/P battle screens are about 3x slower than the Leaf Green/Fire Red games? Shouldn't a DS game run faster than a GBA game, since it's just text scrolling across the screen? I put down Diamond pretty quickly after realizing how painfully slow it was compared to its GBA predecessor.
Sleeper GOTY: Rise of the Argonauts.
lol, the developer is fresh off of Desperate Housewives: The Game.

Jekki: The first Sonic Adventure is all right if you don't mind the occasional bit of wonkyness (and fishing). SA2 has the camera from hell, and I haven't played any of the other recent 3D Sonics, but haven't heard much good about them.

It's not 3D, but Sonic Rush is wonderful. Best new school Sonic game if you want that old school feeling.

Oh, and good morning GGT!

Up to you in the order you want to do them. Personally, I think it makes more sense storywise to knock out Playboy/Dwayne's missions and then move on to Francis.

If you have trouble with Dwayne's 2nd mission:
the one dealing with a strip club - there's a burger shot nearby
