My street fighter 15th anniversary stick drifts left

I bought a 15th anniversary arcade stick from EB a few days ago, and while playing street fighter 2 and 3 on it, I've noticed that sometimes, during play, the stick is registering phantom movements leftward, where if I let go of the stick, the character on screen moves left. While this isn't a serious problem as it happens rather infrequently, should I return the stick anyway? Will it get worse?

I really like the stick, and it's the last one they had, so if I return it, it'll likely be for credit only. I got a tekken 5 bundle last week and loved the arcade stick, and being unable to track down a reliable ps2-xbox controller coverter, I thought I'd try the street fighter stick. I'd never had an arcade stick- closest I've ever been to having one is playing with a friend's NES advantage- but the tekken and street fighter sticks have made me realize I can't ever go back, at least not for fighting games. I'd like to keep the street fighter stick, but not if this is a harbinger of problems to come, or if I'll soon realize I can't stand the drifting. Can this be fixed? Can I open the thing up and find a quick solution? Or should I just return it and hope EB gets some more?

My penis drifts to the left, and I have to aim towards the right so I don't piss all over myself. I say as long as you can aim it just right, there is no need for surgery.

Hahaha, your so funny.

I'd return the stick if I were you.

Is there another EB nearby? Maybe you can try to exchange it at a different location that has more in stock. My friend bought the last joystick at one EB, after 2 days middle kick stopped working, so he exchanged it at a different EB location.

Your a dipshit.

In case you couldn't figure out the moral, there is absolutely no point in taking the thing apart. Simply return it and get another controller or credit or whatever. It isn't like these things are impossible to find.

The thing is that, I find saying your is just so much easier to type. I know you're is correct but your just flows better. That's not the point, it's the immaturity which always pisses me off as you know Punq.

They were quite readily available at the 2 EBs I regularly check, until the xbox street fighter anniversary collection was released. Then they all magically disappeared, leaving the one that I bought. Since the website actually shows backordered, it makes me think they'll eventually get more, especially since they're releasing xbox versions of those street fighter control pads.

Hopefully, they can track me down one for exchange from checking/calling other stores' inventories. If they can't, I'm going to think hard about returning it for credit. It's the largest arcade stick I've ever seen, and playing on it actually feels like playing in an arcade (not talking about accuracy and responsiveness, just pure size and hand placement on the case). When I was first got it, I was so giddy I spent a good 15 minutes in training mode throwing fireballs and dragon punches.
