NBA 2K5 League: Where we're always behind in the OP

I'm done with this stupid league....the last two games I played had so much lag it fucking pointless. Stop downloading shit and play.....I know it's not me because my PC was off and nothing was running on it.....fuck this

I restarted my computer and went online right after, so it wasn't on my end since nothing was downloading. I was lagging just as bad, but all you had to do was adapt like pressing the free throw button at the bottom and NOT shooting 3pters since timing is off. I adapted and was beating you so bad u had to turn off xbox, haha.

Yea, my game with maxflight was just fine and he's on the east coast, so it must be you since it was your last 2 games you had lag....besides you're the one who started taking advantage of the lag by intentionally fouling me in the middle of the 2nd quarter, so i did it back to you and you got F'D in the A.... :

also, as some of you may know, espn's servers have been acting weird for the last few weeks. so some of the lag could be contributed to the servers instead of individuals.

and double, if you're quiting due to lag, that sucks. just adapt and go from there. its not like this is anything more than a game anyways. so just play it and try to have fun.

also last game, hopefully it can get played tomorrow so i can advance. randy let me know what your situation is if possible. larlee is ready whenever you get a chance to play.
 
Find a replacement for me.....

I'm done with this league....I don't find it fair when my last two games have lagged so much that it does not even make it a fair game.

did you play the pistons game already larlee? if so i'll take it off the results and should be good to go with it as soon as i do that.

in the interest of fairness, i've decide to do a round robin tourney with those wanting to be the pistons. well i can't make a round robin tourney, but how about the 3 people that have spoken up(2 here and 1 via pm) set up to play one another and whomever has the best record of the 3, gets the pistons. if anyone disagrees with me speak up.

in the result of a similar 1-1 record, whomever won the head to head game gets the win.
 
Sounds good to me. I have no chance in hell since I'm 2-4 online (although the losses were all to one guy), but I'll give it a shot.

How's it going to work as far as team selection goes? I don't believe both people can choose the Pistons in the same game.

just pick who you want. you can be the pistons if you prefer, i don't mind.
 
It doesn't matter to me. I'm not really a Pistons fan. I simply want to play in the league, no matter what team I get. I usually play as my favorite team, Minnesota, so Detroit's yours if you want them for our game.

Now that that seems to be sorted out, I guess I'll see you online in a couple hours, unless you want to play sooner.

i just played a game of this, and now i know why i haven't played it in so long. i'm not a big fan of the gameplay. since there's two other people who would like to play in this league, it would probably be better to just let them duke it out for a spot in the league. sorry if that is an inconvenience to anyone.

i'm probably going to end up selling this shortly.

I actually understand what DoubleDown was talking about since in my game this week there was horrible lag in some spots, mostly the second quarter. But I stuck it out and it went away (mostly) in a second half.

Good game today Rich. Exciting OT game between Knicks and Pacers at MSG.

The more I play this game though (and by more, I mean only playing league games) the more I hate it. There's just so many stupid things that happen in the game. How many times do these guys step out of bounds for no reason? And why are my shooters if they're wide open not squaring up to the basket and instead facing the other court or worse, spins to the wrong shoulder and takes a 20 foot fadeaway? Ridiculous game.

Beats Houston going into an AI induced slump. He went fucking 4 for 16 from beyond the arch man. I then played Chris right after you and Houston went 21 for 32 or something. My guys couldn't hit shots for shit during that game, and I'm positive I had the timing down.

PS--why no mic? I hate when people don't use mics. I wanted to yell at your for making me wait for you to walk down the court every damn possesion. :lol: :lol:
 
Oh it figures...the one game I decide not to use a mic someone uses it. It seems other people don't use it that often so I don't now. Yeah, that's how I play. Slowed down and everything.

No offense or anything, just the reason I hate pro setting overall: People live on 3's, they're insanely easy on pro setting for any good three point shooter. Seeing someone take 30 or so 3's with one person is nuts....and to make 21 or so is even worse. It's not realistic, hell most teams in real life dont take 30 three point attempts a night. Just a little of a rant on my part cause I play on Hall of Fame mode since its more like a real game. Yes Hall of Fame mode is harder to make shots, but it makes you work a realistic offense and unlike playing the computer, playing Hall of Fame on live isnt insanely difficult against the AI.

Is everyone in this league living on the east coast? The lag last week was a lot worse tho since it even lagged in the start menu, but at least this time the spots it did lag didn't affect your shots or free throws. You were leading the whole entire game tho, so I can understand if you're mad about losing but you can't blame it on the little lagging spots, just blame it on Kobe :notworth:

I've been on the wrong end of those 3 point barrages the last two games. Especially the last one with the Mavs and Nowitzki. It was ridiculous. No matter what you did, it'd just keep going in. Made no sense for me working the paint since I'd trade shots inside with 3s. Oh well.

Speaking of threes, Seattle and Miami are brutal. This guy played me as Seattle and almost ebat me due to shooting almost nothing but 3's the whole game with Ray Allen and Rashard lewis. I hit half court 3's with Wally Sczerbiak at the buzzer at the end of regulation and the first OT before finally beating him 116-114 on another buzzer beater in double overtime. It drove me insane.

D. Jones on the Miami Heat is a 96 rated free throw shooter, and he's the worst. Some guy scored 60 points with him in a game we played last week. Drove me fucking insane.
