Played the other night and this guy was USC, I was Virginia Tech. I ran one option and the guy starts cursing like I was talking about his mother. I just mute it, no biggie. Then the guy subs in a HB for QB and runs options the whole freaking game. It was impossible to stop. I ended up losing 70 to 28. I could have quit but I just wanted to see if the guy would do it the whole game. I don't know about you guys but if they are talking about fairplay rules in the game, that is something that should REALLY be addressed for next year. What do you guys think?

The only problem is that he kept running blitz schemes the whole game so passing was my best chance to score. I also didn't want to risk Vick getting hurt. I had over 450 yards passing and 4 TD's.
 
There was a basketball game for the SNES where if you substituted a fast point guard for your center you could run circles around people like shaq. they couldn't keep up with you on defense, and when they were on offense you could reach around and steal it from them everytime. it sounds to me like this guy used good strategy. i mean, he figured out a combination that worked and used it.

The only problem I have is that with Fair Play rules is shouldn't happen. It's not cheating, I could have done it too, but that is why they restrict stuff like going for it on every 4th down and fake punts/field goals.

It seemed strange that his defense never tired from all the constant blitzing too. That didn't bother me as I could deal with it, it just seemed odd.
 
the option is stoppable. run a blitz to that side of the field (which you can switch which side during the play) and then spy with one of your linebackers.

That's what I did. It worked a few times but with two HB's running it it was not as effective as it would have been if he was running it with Leinart.
 
LOL, ran into another clown the other night. He ran shotgun hike to the HB 75% of the time. I lost 33-31. That was my fault though because I had the lead but scored a touchdown earlier than I wanted in the 4th quarter. I'll just have to be more aware of ball control from now on. I have won 3 straight after that though.
 
This is why I have stopped playing football online. You will always come across these cheap punks. Sadly, I don't think it will ever end. You can't fix these things without limiting your in-game choices too much. I just can't enjoy a game where someone uses a cheap play or goes for it every single 4th down. It isn't realistic and thats what I'm looking for.

I suck compared to a lot of people I have played online, so I can just set the CPU to levels where I have a good challenge and a good game offline. :D

You should join an NFL2K5 league, brotha. They rock, ours is on its fourth seasons, and we play clean all season long. Plus, we have trades, injuries, free agency, our own website, extensive stats and recaps, and a continuing franchise feature where we roll the rosters from one season to the next.

You just gotta find a good group, man!
 
Anybody want to play a few good games tonight? It's too hard to find a good game just going into a lobby or using the optimatch. I wont be able to get on til around 1030-1100cent pm tonight. If anyone wants to play send me a pM
 
I will be free this evening FrankySox (and I'll put coffee on this time, lol). I guess work took more out of me than I realized yesterday.
