Need Advice: Purchasing used PS3 from Gamestop

Hey CAG,
My friend in LA is looking to obtain a 20GB PS3 and his options are Gamestop, Craigslist, and Ebay.

Right now, he's leaning on purchasing one from Gamestop. I myself have never bought a used system before so I can't really give him advice what to look out for. So for any CAG's that have bought used systems from Gamestop, especially the PS3, what should he be concerned with when buy from Gamestop. Do they offer a replacement plan that you can purchase on a used PS3? Any information would be much appreciated.

I bought a used 20 gig from gamestop right when the PS3 had its price drop, and I have had no problems with it. They do offer a warranty with it but there isn't really a need to buy it, the PS3 was made very well.

What about getting the 60GB one used? The only reason I ask is if your friend wants to play DMC 4, 1/3 of his HD is gone.

GS offers a 30 day warranty off the bat, which you can purchase an additional year warranty for like 30 bucks maybe.

If your friend gets one, have him play the hell out of it during the first day, and that should determine if its good or not.
