I would be all over this if the 15% off code worked on this deal. $55 is a little too much for me though.
Aww crap, I wish that I had known about this beforehand! How about hooking me up with the discount even though I ordered from you and you already shipped? I was the one who recommended you to everyone again...

looks like $47 shipped for a system + 6 games. not a bad deal, but really the only game i want is metal slug first mission.

I can say that the Neo-Geo pocket is 100% worth it. I bought the import version when it came out, it was a little bit smaller and had a little bit better speakers, but the American version is still awesome. I had, Bust-a-move pocket, magical drop, Snk vs. Capcom fighters, Samurai Showdown 2, and Metal Slug first mission. All were excellent, i spent the most time playing SNK vs CAPCOM, i memorized all 100 screens of bust a move, so that stopped being fun. I would say the system is worth it for Magical drop alone, has to be one of the hardest puzzle games ever.

Hi, no problem. Please send an email to [email protected] with your order number - We will refund you the difference.

These are 100% brand new authentic SNK cartridges. Yes they are NTSC (English) but the consoles play all formats (i.e. English and Japanese)

I'm sure everyone is waiting with bated breath to hear my continuing saga and story, so I want to tell you that GameLiquidation applied the coupon to my account even though they had already shipped my order. :applause:
I am extremely impressed with them so far!
IMO, anyone on the fence shouldn't hestitate to take advantage of this deal. An NGPC+6 games for ~$47 dollars, plus their prices on all other NGPC games are the lowest I can find on the Internet.

Jason,
Any chance you guys will get copies of Bio Motor Unitron? I can't seem to find it in stock anywhere.

Sorry no BioMotor - we purchased a large chunk of SNK's closeout and it was a one-time deal.
All the english games are already on the site - we have around 10 Japanese titles though which are not up on the site because we cannot read Japanese :)

Thank you.
Jason

I think I'm going to go ahead and pick this up for myself. How is the battery life on the sytem, and how many batteries does it take to run it?

Two AA batteries (or is it AAA? not sure) last about 40 hours.

the price is wayyyyy too much for it now. :( $70
Which price? You can get the system alone from Amazon for $30+tax+shipping or the system w/ 6 games for less than $55. I don't understand where the $70 is coming from at all?

Edited to show the 'Zon link to the product.
please post link for the < $

Looks like I will be ordering from Gameliguidation tonight.
By the way If anybody wants to get rid of some of their NeoGeo Pocket games, please let me know. I would definately be interested in some trades. Check my trade list.

Game Liquidation is awesome. Jason (the guy who is posting) is really on the ball. I sent my money by check, and he even commented on the envelope I used in a later e-mail mentioning my bundle had shipped

I believe it is nearly identical to Bust-A-Move 2 on the PSOne. Great puzzle game, I remember quite a few friends were addicted to it when I was in college (and they played on the Neo Geo arcade unit).

I think I am going to pick one of these up! Does anyone recall that there was some kind of hook up to the Dreamcast? I remember it vaguely but don't remember what purpose it served. Does anyone remember?

I'm having problems with ordering... When I go to checkout it asks me to login and then sends me to the front page.

it was for KOF.

and I would check out SNK vs. CAPCOM match of the millenium and Sonic, as both are really good

It did that to me too, my transaction went through too. I'm sure it is probably normal.

It actually worked for a couple of the KOF games and SNK vs Capcom on the DC. I think the only NGPC game that supported it was Match of the Millenium. The cable itself is about $30, and that's IF you can find it. I've looked and I usually find stores that used to carry it, but now just have it perpetually listed as out of stock.

Ordered on Friday and got the 6-pack and system on Monday from GameLiquidation. Also picked up a copy of Card Clash.

I know that the NGPC can connect to KOF:99 Dream Match on the Dreamcast and is also supposed to connect to Capcom vs. SNK too. Not sure about anything else, although I know that more was rumored at the time. I think the big belly flop that the system had in the states probably derailed a lot of those things -> look at the GBA to GCN connectivity flop and that is with two popular systems.

If anyone has any leads on BioMotor or the Dreamcast cable, shoot me a PM as I am interested.

BTW, I know that this sounds like a broken record already, but I am really happy with the service I got from GameLiquidation. They shipped my order fast, credited me with the coupon *after* they had shipped and have been all around pleasant to deal with. If only all retailers were like this!

How is the card clash game? Also, which game do you think is the best out of the six that came with the neo geo?

i ordered it on sunday, they are also in los angeles so it should arrive later in the week.

Which of the card clash games is better?(the capcom version, or the snk version)?

To answer questions from various above posts:

-Both CardFighter's Clash games are similar. The only difference is there are a very small number of cards that are specific to each version. In order to get all the cards, you will need two systems and a copy of each version of the game. Some cards can only be acquired by trading a specific set of cards between games at the same time.

-The game itself is very fun. It is not quite as complex as the Pokemon TCG from the GBC days, but I would say it is just as entertaining.

-As stated before, you will likely have to go to eBay for the NGPC-to-DC cable. I have looked at a lot of sites that used to carry it and it has never come back in stock.

-For BioMotor Unitron, try shooting a PM to Defender. I bought a brand new sealed copy of it from Video Game Deals a few months ago and he might still have access to some of that stuff (pure speculation on my part).

I have only played card clash and metal slug, but I have to say I am really impressed with the games so far. They are very close to GBA quality in graphics. Still taking me a little while to get used to the unit itself - I keep pressing B instead of A. Also the screen, while it looks great in direct light - better than a standard GBA, it also suffers from the GBA's lack of lighting, which can make it a hassle. I guess I have been spoiled by my SP.

Also thanks to PsyClerk for his post. I thought that Defender was out of the VG business since selling his store in NYC. I hate the EBay, but I really want one of those cables, so I guess I have little choice, eh...

Whoo! I got my NeoGeo Pocket!
No games yet, though >_<
I ordered Metal Slug First Mission and Fatal Fury First Contact, they should be in soon, I hope.
The NeoGeo Horoscope says I'm gonna have bad luck generally today. BLARG

I'm glad you like yours. I just placed my order tonight for one and I can't wait for it to come in. The Neo Geo should help keep me busy in between classes.
