Netflix Streaming Thread 2.0

Anyone else having trouble with the new Wii app? It prompted me to download an update to the channel, but now that I have my Netflix won't start. I tried deleting the channel and redownloading it, but it still won't start the channel and says I can't connect.

I'm sick so I haven't bothered going downstairs to see if the Xbox is still working right, but I can still stream fine on the laptop.
 
Yeah, I assumed they were going to leave everything broke until the new dash hits. There are a lot of things that seem wonky over last month and none of them have fixed themselves.

Finally finished Mad Men and will cancel streaming today. Great service but I just don't use it enough to pay for it. Especially this time of year with sports in full swing and lots of good games coming out. Hard enough to keep up with 1-2 disc rentals a week.

We used to watch it all the time when we had cable. Got rid of cable and this is like the only show we don't have access to. :(

Buy the sub cards for 8.99 and it pays of 2 months of streaming or DVDs. 1 month of both.
 
I used to find the month cards at Best Buy, They have disappeared in stores real close to me. But I find them in Indiana like I find the amazon $25 gift cards.
 
read an interesting article on seeking alpha the other day that Netflix just might buy out Adult DVD Empire and start offering hardcore porn on the service both mail/streaming for an add-on price a la Blu-Ray.

Interesting. I'd pay an extra $8 a month to have instant access to high quality streams...
 
If they did offer such a service then I would hope that they give me the option of not allowing friends to see that I'm watching porn when I'm streaming on my 360.

Right because you are already paying for the regular service, this could be the bonus or happy ending.

That would be cool if it was just a part of regular Netflix streaming, but I wouldn't pay extra for it.

Also, 360 shows what you're watching? PS3 just shows that the person is using Netflix.
 
ill have to do a quick search of my viewing history but theyre there also theres a number of foreign films that have tons of nudity and sex in them oddly enough many of them are japanese.
 
Sucks that we don't get season 2 of The Walking Dead until right before season 3. I know I could just watch it on AMC though.

Definitely not in the zombie movie crowd but this show is great.
 
look through the asian films theres one in particular that basically had this guy and chick fucking in damn near every way imaginable i believe she was probably a nympho because she fucked pretty much every guy she met.
 
On the topic: Method Man has a movie on there, The Strip Game. He basically goes to different strip joints around the country and interviews the strippers.

New problems for Netflix...

USPS is basically doing away with next day mail service, now it might take like 5 days to get a movie after you put on back in the mail.
 
Just saw that Pearl Jam Twenty is up on streaming.


I'll be pissed if the mail service starts sucking like that, but I doubt it will affect Netflix and other high volume shippers. probably just getting rid of the optin for consumer shipping.
 
Netflix probably sees this as a good thing since they probably think people will switch over to streaming to avoid the delays. That would be a poor opinion though since the vast majority of DVD's aren't available on streaming. I dropped streaming and stuck with DVD's for this precise reason.
 
Same. I'm mainly interested in watching newer releases, and streaming just doesn't have those. When it does I'd gladly switch from discs to streaming.

As is, I dropped streaming as noted above as I just don't have time/interest to make enough use of it on top of my disc rentals to justify paying for it.

If the mail service starts sucking I guess I'd just have to deal with hassling with Redbox and maybe add streaming back to have access to older stuff not in Redbox.
 
I'm fine with the change if there is one. I use both streaming and mail for separate reasons. I'm fine with waiting a little extra to get my movie. I usually don't watch it immediately anyway.

Spaced is now on Instant Watch. It's the TV collaboration of Sean of the Dead and Hot Fuzz's Simon Pegg and and Nick Frost. It's awesome, and includes an excellent Resident Evil episode.

its so expensive for women to go to them many end up becoming prostitutes and doing porn to afford it.

If Netflix tripled the cost of streaming, but put every major release on the streaming service as quick as they do for for the disc system, would you guys be all right with that?
