i seen it till that guys girlfriend got killed :(

seen sg1 years ago and really didnt like it past the shotime version when it turned pg

see that they got dr who so might try to watch were sci fi left off which is the end of season 4 pretty much with him ditching rose again. :)

Really hate the newest interface...feels super cramped with the description taking up the right third of the screen. Is there any way to go into a genre and see the entire list like you used to be able to? (with the more button at the end of the row)

I'm not a fan of the new setup also. I though tit was just done on the Boxee Box but I guess not. It would be nice to be able to change it back.
....SO I..... Mailed in Marvel Vs Capcom 3 instead of the dvd.....sonofabithdammitsauce.

Anyone ever send the wrong thing in and get it back? ..Yep, not holding my breath.
My friend's wife sent back my friend's copy of Medal of Honor in a sleeve for Kick-Ass. He never got it back. I'd make a joke about being no big loss, but at the time he probably still could have gotten 30 bucks for it.
I don't know how good it is but The Expendables is on streaming now.
It's action porn. So long as one goes into it expecting gratuitous, over-the-top violence and little else, it's not a bad film.

But do they accept it as Kick-Ass or are you on the hook for that too? =]
Friday Night Lights/ Mad Men
Yes! Friday Night Lights is awesome. I'm in the middle of Season 4 right now and it has been fantastic. I really hope they add Season 5 soon though - I don't want to have to DL those episodes to finish watching the show.

I'm thinking about starting Dexter next sonce I've heard so many good things. God, I have so much TV to catch up on.... Breaking Bad and The Wire have been at the top of my list forever.

Dexter's been off streaming for almost a month, so you'll have to get the discs.. which brings me to my next point:

Don't forget to update your subscription plans, it changes tomorrow.

Damn. Never mind then. We don't have the option for discs - we pay for them but they go to my parents' house and we piggyback off of their streaming.

I'm still plowing throw Mad Men (I'm early in Season 3) so I'll be keeping streaming for at least one month before likely going disc only.

Though I'm contemplating watching Battlestar Galactica next....

I'm consider canceling my subscription not over price though. I don't have time to sit and watch tv plus the selection for streaming seems like it has fallen off lately. Is anyone else canceling?

I'll probably drop streaming because football is starting up--and college basketball after that, and that eats into a lot of my free time to watch TV/movies on Netflix.

Just need to finish up some stuff like Mad Men and maybe BSG first.

I'll always keep disc rentals though as I can always squeeze in a movie or two a week, and the selection in Redbox blows since it's only major recent releases.

Well we decided to cancel completely. We just don't have the time we use to. We're gonna see how it goes though because I know I'm gonna miss it. A month shy of 7 years for us...

I will be changing to one disk out at a time with unlimited streaming cause its 99 cents more than what I pay now for the 2 disc version.

for those of you who like 80s cartoons Marshall Bravestar is on netflix and if youre looking for a great movie to watch check out The Man From Earth.

Blah! Netflix has sucked for the past couple of months and with the recent price hike, I don't see any improvements really. Went down the $7.99/month instant streaming only but am thinking of canceling it. Whatever hulu+ had, netflix got but i've got those movies already anyways on dvd. Hope they get a better and more broader selection soon.
Don't forget to update your subscription plans, it changes tomorrow.
For those updating or cancelling, you don't necessarily need to do it by tomorrow. The notice at the top of the account maintenance page says

The price of your Unlimited Streaming + 1 DVD out at-a-time (Unlimited) plan will change to $15.98 (plus any applicable tax) a month starting with your next billing period on or after Sep 01, 2011. If you select a new plan in the meantime, you will only be able to return to your current plan at the new price, regardless of when you make the change.
On my plan options, right above my current plan with the new $15.98 price it says, "As of 09/17/2011 you will be on this plan." So in my case, I can still get a few more discs until 9/17, at which point I'll downgrade to streaming only.

I am cancelling. I have until the 8th though before I get billed again. There seems to be absolutely nothing new I want to watch on streaming. Ill just head to blockbuster or a redbox if I want to watch something. Netflix has gone massively down hill with adding new movies and tv shows.

Cancelled.

Back to regular fall TV, NFL, great games coming out.

Netflix did its job and got me through the summer. See ya next year!

Unless major changes happen and its awesome.

Netflix is costing WAAAYYY more than they used to. Netflix is raising prices due to them owing $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to companies for the TV shows and movies on their servers.

Just wanted to let fellow MST3k fans know that a few Gamera episodes just got added to streaming.

Also noteworthy - Airplane, Dazed and Confused, The Enforcer, Kung Pow, Some Like it Hot

The annoying thing on Hulu is that a majority of the content (or atleast what I try to watch) is website only and cant stream on the 360. Almost making it not worth it.

Wow, that's disappointing. I'm glad I signed up with a free trial.

Starz is ending its streaming partnership with Netflix effective February 2012. Netflix stock sank 8% after the announcement. Over 1,000 movies will be pulled off of the service.

^ Starz wanted $300 million in the new deal, up from the current $30 million.

This is where Netflix gets in trouble. Subscribers bitched about the amount of content, so they bought more and had to raise prices, now people wanna cancel cause it went up. It's a vicious cycle now at this point.

It makes it totally not worth it, IMO.

Well, HBO Go is coming at some point which is a good thing.

Went ahead and downgraded to instant streaming only. It's nice to know I can watch George Carlin standup and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episodes whenever I want.

Got rid of my 1 out bluray portion, and went with streaming only - effectively lowering my monthly cost now. 95% of netflix usage has been streaming anyway.
isn't it going to hurt Starz not being on netflix? Is it really a popular station? 30 -> 300? come on now.
No. They'll start their own streaming thing like HBO Go.

And I thought streaming was bad before. Unless something major gets signed in February I'll probably end up canceling all together and watch Hulu for free.

I doubt that they would make $30 million from this. They don't have that much to offer.

Starz, LLC, President and ChiefExecutiveOfficer, Chris Albrecht, issued the following statement today regarding the status of affiliation agreement renewal discussions with Netflix.

"Starz Entertainment has ended contract renewal negotiations with Netflix. When the agreement expires on February 28, 2012, Starz will cease to distribute its content on the Netflix streaming platform. This decision is a result of our strategy to protect the premium nature of our brand by preserving the appropriate pricing and packaging of our exclusive and highly valuable content. With our current studio rights and growing original programming presence, the network is in an excellent position to evaluate new opportunities and expand its overall business."

More bad news for Netflix first Sony now Starz

The best part of the Starz announcement is that the worst-looking movies on Netflix streaming will be gone in six months. There's no way that that content would be worth a ten times price increase for Netflix. Now they can just work with Disney to expand the content that they already have on there to include more movies.
hopefully they will use the free space to add more foreign films and dramas and anime (all subbed of course).
For myself, I'd much rather see more quality, ie not direct to video, sci-fi/horror/comedies added, and older tv shows (70's and 80's stuff).

Never actually watch anime/foreign myself. Wish they'd also improve the search, my results are always so extremely limited, and give me the ability to remove sections I don't want entirely, like kids/anime/foreign, and add sections I do want to see.

Anyway, my $10 deal expires on September 22nd, so come the 21st I'll be downgrading to just streaming.

I'd like to see them get most of the big releases of the last 10 years out (inception, departed, pineapple express, etc.) and most current tv shows (HIMYM, Chuck, etc.).
