People told me Origin was crap but stupid me. I just got off from chatting with a rep from ea because I noticed that I still didn't get my $20 coupon from Origin for preordring SimCity and here's what I got after waiting 2 hours:
Don't Bother this is what you all have to look forward to:
Morrel: Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts. How may I help you today?
you: Hi I still haven't got my 20 coupon for preording sim city
Morrel: I am not seeing a promo code for your order for the $20 coupon code. I believe that promotion wasn't going on when you made your pre order.
you: So will you give it to me?
you: I don't think I should be punished for ordering early
Morrel: I am sorry, I am not able to prorate promotions. Different sales go on at different times, you have to catch the sale.
Morrel: However I can provide you with a 15% off coupon if you would like.
you: So you are saying because I ordered early I get nothing, while the last minute shopper get $20?
you: I didn't see anywhere in the promotion that it had a start date either
Morrel: I am saying you missed the sale for that promotion and I am not able to prorate that for you. It is like missing a sale at gamestop. One week the game you want is $20, but when you go in to purchase it a week later, it is $40. Gamestop would not prorate for the sale of that game.
Morrel: I can provide you with the 15% off coupon.
you: Its nothing like a sale at gamestop, I had to wait for the release date like everyone else. I waited longer from the date I paid
Morrel: I am sorry for the inconvenience.
you: Its a real shame I had plans to buy more from origin but if I get punished deciding I wanted a game early I think I will be sticking to steam or avoiding origin games all together.
Morrel: Okay. Is there anything else I may assist you with at the moment?
you: Ill be posting this everywhere I can so people can see just what they are in for btw
I know most of you know EA is crap but I needed to vent after putting up with this
