Played the 360 demo of Just Cause. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say "Not as good as Mercenaries."

Then again, not much is.

Still, 16.96? MIGHT be difficult to pass up, but I think the PS2 version got blasted.

Edit: Then again, if hopping atop a moving car, pulling the rip cord on your parachute to lift yourself up, and then flying to and jacking a helicopter/boat/another car sounds like your thing... JC is probably for you.

I've played Just Cause on the 360 and I thought it was pretty decent. It was a lot of fun doing all of the stunts, like RollingSkull said. You can climb on top of your moving car, parachute, and a few other things. I played it probably 3 or so months ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy. From what I played, if I could get it on 360 for $25 I'd probably pick it up. I couldn't think of a comparison though.
Just Cause got mixed reviews. Anyone play it and have thoughts or comparisons?
I rented it on the 360 from Blockbuster and was able to burn through in about 4 (2 hour) sittings. A fun game and there was much more I could have spent time on. Not sure about the PS2 version....

Man I've been holding off on buying Subsistence because it was $30. Now it drops to $16.96 and I still feel that is expensive. CAG really distorted the way I think...

Save your money on Bubble Bobble Revolution. As someone who imported this game a year ago because I was so excited for it, I have never been more disappointed by a game ever. It's glitchy, it's ugly as sin, and it requires two carts to play original style co-op Bubble Bobble.

Own and beat the 360 version (still have tons of side missions left) And I frickin loved it. "aquired" the Ps2 version...This game was total crap. Hence it being the price it is. I might picked up TR DS though. Thanks OP!

And also the US box art is terrible.

That's the PAL box art too. Only Japan got decent box art.

Yeah, really!

I actually payed the full $30 for Subsistence because I wanted the original Metal Gear games. I enjoyed the first one, but hated the second and never finished it. Still haven't played MGS3 (I'm expecting to love it so saving it for later).

I already have the first MGS3, but I still don't know if i should really get this one for the price because CAG spoil me so.

Anybody got the MGS:Subsistence? If so, I'd like to purchase it off of you or what have you. Please PM me to LMK! Thank you!

I lucked out on release day and my wife was able to nab the limited edition Box set of MGS:S . Ive never seen that thing again anywhere, except maybe ebay.

You can add Monster House (PS2) to the 16.96 games. I grab one today for my kids. Also, I found the last MSG 3 in my local circuit city. Any other games at 16.96?, Thanks OP to bring this to our attention!
Damn, I might have to get MGS:S. The previous one is hard to find now.
This one wont be. The first one got a tiny print run while this one has been in print for months and there are tons of copies on the market.

CC after new year clearance sale is very soon. I'll pickup Monster Racher EVO. Possible lookup on old RPG games while i am at CC next week ;)

thanks kevzik!
I somehow managed to find a copy of MGS3:S at my cc
(took about 15 minutes).
That alone is an amazing accomplishment since my cc is a mess.
The games are only sorted per system.
Beyond that, there is no order at all.
Everything is just randomly thrown together (by monkeys?!. that has to be it).
I doubt they're selling that many games since it is impossible to find anything.
Hell, I'm amazed that my cc is still in business since Best Buy down the street is killing them.
My Best Buy is about 1000 times busier than my cc.
I'll get Monster Rancher EVO.
Monster Rancher Evo and Battlefield 2 are both $9.98 at Toys R Us's Clearance Sale.

Again the first one is not that hard to find, go to Toys R Us. They have a ton of these for $14.98 ( The first one)

Hmm, only seven games? CC drops usually happen in groups of about 30-40 games. Any CC employees got the scoop on this? Are these seven just some games that have leaked early?

there is definitely a whole lot more games that dropped, i saw loads tonight but i cant remember them all. magnetica for the ds was one, true swing golf.

Found some of the OPs games tonight at CC. I only got TR for DS as i already have Just Cause for 360. There was a game bin with first gen ps2 games but everything was still on the shelf marked normal. 29.99..39.99..etc

Magnetica? Really? Can anyone else confirm? I've been wanting this since I downloaded a demo, and my CC has a few copies, I think.
I might pick up Tomb Raider! Thanks
Beware! I heard it's trash on the DS.

I can confirm that Magnetica is $16.96 as I just went back and picked it up.

Hmm interesting, I was considering it from the Gamefly sale for $14, but $17 new is enticing too. So Magnetica is basically Zuma, right?

And did ya happen to notice anything else reduced? Onimusha dawn of dreams perhaps? Just a guess/wish on that one.

Personally I miss the $8.96 CC goodness...!

I miss the $4.96 CC sale from 2004. Got me Disgaea as well as many other great games for that price. Those were the days.

Not buying MGS3:S at this price = fail. MGS3 fixes the crap that was wrong with MGS1 and MGS2. As in A) the plot is ENJOYABLE, and not a post-modern mish-mash of would-be plot twists. B) There is ACTUAL STEALTH! OMG OMG OMG! C) The true villains behind the conspiracy actually AREN'T THE AMERICANS, so you know you're getting a twist ending.

Because, seriously, every friggen suspense movie/show/game villain = American government. Would that the government WAS that crafty!

EDIT: Also, for once, the backtracking quotient is down to ONLY 5% of the game. I know, unbelievable, but true.

You sure about that?
Just Cause got mixed reviews. Anyone play it and have thoughts or comparisons?
the blurr effect in just cause made me hellishly sick, obviously others may not experience this but I seariously didnt feel that bad since I played turok on the xbox. it's probably just me cause friends of mine were able to play and beat it with no problems.

the actual gameplay isnt that bad, pretty much just GTA on an island, the game seemed to have promising aspects... but as I said it made me very sick.

Yes of course, the legendary July 4th sale of 04. Still the best sale in CAG history. True, games have been found for cheaper elsewhere, but for sheer number of titles and availability, that was the sale of sales.
Ahem anyway still hoping for an official clearance list...:)
Nooooo, MGS3:S is oos.
I feel your pain. Such a great deal for a great game. Rented MGS3 twice first time was the normal version second time it was Subsistence and now I want to buy it but not for 30 bucks which is what most stores are selling it for. GRRRRRR.........
